kalabfh dam will never be built.onlt shareefs support this dam.all parties including imran khan is against kalabagh dam...infact imrn even wants to divide punjab .ater dividing punjab the kalabagh thing will be buried forever

What is wrong with the idea of making dams on Chenab as soon as it enters Pakistani Territory ?

meri adat nahi ke jugatein ya tanz keron. So please respond decently ...

۔ جیسے ہی دریاے چناب پاکستان میں داخل ہوتا ہے تو وہاں سے ایک نہر نکالی جاے جو پانی کو دریاے جہلم کے نیچے سے گزارتے ہوے شمال مغرب میں سکردو کے مقام پر دریاے سندھ میں ڈال دے. پھر وہ پانی وہاں سے کالا باغ ڈیم میں آ کر سٹور ہو جاے:) . اس منفرد آئیڈیا پر مجھے انجیئرنگ کی اعزازی ڈگری ملنی چاہیے

As soon as I saw the map I realized that Kalabagh would be upstream of any potential canal and hence the only possible solution would be to build dams on Chenab itself.

So both of you could have read my subsequent comment in which I mentioned that "So the only possible solution would be to create a dam on Chenab itself, preferably as soon as the river enters Pakistan"

Idiot if we stop water at Kalabagh dam on Indus river then it will create space for flood water from Chenab and Jehlam to pass through

But still the flood water has to travel through whole of punjab till punjnad.

Kalabagh would have been useful in floods of 2010 when flood swept through kpk.

Flood water will pass quickly with minimum damage if water flow from river Indus is stopped at Kalabagh

but chenab route is different and would still have played havoc like it is doing now.

So you need a storage at chenab and jhelum to stop a flood like this.

Jack Sparrow is unable to get this that Chenab and Indus are two different rivers with different routes and that flooding in one can not be prevented by building a dam on the other river.
