Government delays hike in price of petroleum products

وزیراعظم کی معاون خصوصی اور مشیر اطلاعات فردوس عاشق اعوان نے کہا ہے کہ وفاقی کابینہ نے پٹرولیم مصنوعات کی قیمتوں میں اضافہ موخر کردیا ہے۔


وزیراعظم عمران خان کی زیر صدارت وفاقی کابینہ کا اجلاس ہوا جس میں پٹرول کی قیمتوں پر تفصیلی بحث کی گئی۔ وزراء کی اکثریت نے قیمتوں میں مزید اضافہ کو پریشان کن قرار دیا تاہم چند وزرا نے قیمتوں میں اضافے کی حمایت کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ سارا بوجھ حکومت نہیں اٹھا سکتی۔ رائے منقسم ہونے کے باعث اس حوالے سے حتمی فیصلہ وزیراعظم پر چھوڑ دیا گیا۔
کابینہ اجلاس میں سابق وزیر اطلاعات فواد چوہدری کے دورمیں ارسال کی گئی دونوں سمریاں واپس لے لی گئیں جن میں پریس کونسل کے چیئرمین و ارکان کی تعیناتی اور ڈی جی ریڈیو کی تقرری کی سمری شامل تھی۔




وزیراعظم کی معاون خصوصی اور مشیر اطلاعات فردوس عاشق اعوان نے پریس بریفنگ میں کابینہ کے فیصلوں سے آگاہ کرتے ہوئے بتایا کہ رمضان میں دفتری اوقات کار صبح 10 سے شام 4 بجے کیے گئے ہیں، دیوانی مقدموں کو ڈیڑھ سے 2 سال میں نمٹانے کیلیے قانون سازی کی جائےگی، بچوں سے زیادتی پر سخت سزا کا قانون لارہے ہیں۔
مشیر اطلاعات نے کہا کہ تحریک انصاف کی حکومت عوام کو ریلیف دے گی جس کے لیے حکومت نے پٹرولیم مصنوعات کی قیمتوں میں اضافہ موخر کردیا ہے، وزیراعظم عمران خان نے قیمتوں میں اضافے کا معاملہ اقتصادی رابطہ کمیٹی (ای سی سی) کو بھیج دیا ہے۔
وفاقی وزیر آبی وسائل فیصل واوڈا نے بتایا کہ وزیراعظم عمران خان 2 مئی کو مہمند ڈیم کا سنگ بنیاد رکھیں گے، بیرونی اور اندرونی قوتوں نے مہمند ڈیم کو بھی کالاباغ بنانےکی کوشش کی جسے ہم نے ناکام بنادیا۔
پشتون تحفظ موومنٹ سے متعلق سوال کا جواب دیتے ہوئے فردوس عاشق اعوان نے کہا کہ قبائلی علاقوں کا ہر نوجوان پی ٹی ایم نہیں ہے، پی ٹی ایم میں ایسے عناصر گھس گئے ہیں جنہوں نے بیرونی آقاؤں کی آشیرباد سے قومی سلامتی کو نقصان پہنچایا ہے۔

Imran Khan is falling prey to the lollypop syndrome..

Instead of letting the economy build itself up, they are going back to the old moves of PMLN and PPP.. The public needs to pay full price for what it uses. Even middleeastern countries with oil taps are moving towards the same model.
This needless subsidy is going to basically keep Pakistan in the same hole. Thigns just look gloomy after Asad Umars departure.

OGRA had recommendedan increase of Rs14.37 in the per litre price of petrol
ISLAMABAD: The government has delayed the decision to raise the price of petroleum products, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan announced on Tuesday.

In a news conference following the Federal Cabinet meeting, Awan said the summary of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) to raise petroleum prices was reviewed. “Realizing problems faced by people, the prime minister decided to send this matter to the ECC and a decision will be taken later,” Awan said.

In its summary sent to the Ministry of Finance, OGRA had recommended an increase of Rs14.37 in the per litre price of petrol.

OGRA also recommended an increase of Rs4.89 per litre in the price of high-speed diesel. Sources said the body had recommended a price hike of Rs7.46 per litre in kerosene oil and Rs6.40 per litre in light diesel oil prices.

The prices of petrol and diesel are already at their highest level since the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government came into power after the party won general elections in July 2018.

Last month, the government increased the per litre price of petrol and high-speed diesel by Rs6 to Rs98.89 and Rs117.43 respectively, and of light speed diesel and kerosene oil by Rs3 to Rs80.54 and Rs89.31 per litre respectively.

But later on Govt. don't increase the prices....

But the purpose of opposition and media is completed. Their only aim is to do propaganda...

Yesterday they did massive propaganda against govt. And their was too much hype of this proposal but nothing happened.

But after govt. re-consideration, media will not serve this message to the public at that level.
