The Quran outlines the recipients of the Zakat as follows:-

"They ask you about giving: say, "The charity you give shall go to the parents, the relatives, the orphans, the poor, and the traveling alien." Any good you do, God is fully aware thereof" 2:215

Why would one help someone who is with status quo. If they support them, then they are responsible for all this, they deserve it.

well IK doesn't think that way otherwise he would never had build Shaukat Khanam or Namal University and never done any charity work for people ....

The payment of the Zakat is a fard (obligation) on all believers who receive an income. It must be distributed according to 2:215 and must be paid as soon as the income is received.

Sadaqaat or charity is not obligatory but is encouraged by God, it can be paid at any time, and in any form (money, clothes, food) and it is the law of God that whoever collects it must distribute it in accordance to the details in 9:60 of Quran. If you have a copy of Quran then u can read it there.

we will help whatever we can.

Even if we can't solve their problem permanently we should do something, I'm feeling really bad since I watched this show.

Look at the face of Baba Jee. He is a complete picture of truthfulness and sincerity. I am very sad after watching this video because the people who did struggle a lot for Pakistan and made their contriubution in what ever way they could and worked day and night to earn Halal for their families have no shelter in Pakistan today and on the other side who soldout our Pakistan day and night and looted country's wealth and transferred money into foreign accounts have become President,Prime minister,Chief ministers,Governers and ministers.
The hallmark of the whole episode is one sentence said by Baba jee. "Our rulers don't love Jannah"
Here, I would also like to appreciate Fareha'a effort who brought this sensitive issue to lime light and making her serious effort to show the pain and grief of a common Pakistani who is unfortunately in majority.Hats off to you Fareeha. This is what i called real journalism rather than sitting in a Hi Fi studio inviting some bunch of idiots and discussing with them national issues like few anchors doing these days like Sana Bucha and mehr bukari. Fareeha,Mubashar Luqman and Sir Talat Hussain are the only good jounalists in Pakistan in my view as far as the electronic media is concerned who come up with some objective and try to get a solution of the problem. Carry on Fareeha, you are doing a great job.
