Addressing a news conference PTI Chairman says old faces associated with corruption and bad governance cannot bring about any change.

Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that his party has given 80 % tickets to new faces for the next general elections.


Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Monday afternoon he said this is beginning of a revolution in the country as old faces associated with corruption and bad governance cannot bring about any change.

He said party tickets have been given to those recommended by local chapters of the party.

Imran Khan said others are resorting to just sloganeering but his party has given 35% tickets to those under 40 years of age.

This should form the slogan for the remainder of the election campaign. Get these new people into the assemblies and this would in itself change the political landscape of the country.

Excellent Work by PTI, today marks a change in the history of Pakistan, 80% of PTI ticket holders will be new faces in the National and Provincial Assembly. This should be a very good point for starting the campaign in both rural and urban areas of Pakistan.

Imran says PTI changed culture of musical chairs

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said Monday that his party had changed the culture of musical chairs.
Speaking during a news conference in Islamabad, Khan said that 80 percent of PTI candidates had not been members of assemblies and 35 percent of party tickets were allotted to individuals under the age of 40.
Khan added that the same old faces could not bring change and tickets for reserved women seats would not be allotted to candidates who are relatives of party leaders.
According to the PTI chairman no institution had been fixed during the last 25 years and the PPP and PML-N remained allies in Balochistan till the last moment.

I think we seriously need to give a thought on all of this, What is Youth ? & how we would define it? Lets assume all of those below 35 yrs old is Youth. then we seriously need to check whether the 25% of tickets are actually given to the persons below 35. Plus how many of those below 35 yrs old candidates are actually activists or they belong to already some influential political families & last but not the least how many of the so called electables actually sacrificed in favor of the youth.
