This is what a leader should preach. I Loved to Hear this from IK when he said "Kisi k Saath larai nahin karni Khuda k wastay danday na uta lena".
For most of you this might be a ordinary sentence but Lots of you dont know the true history behind this sentence, If you allow me i would like to share my personal experiences and the true history behind this sentence.
Most of the young generation between 18 to 25 dont know that before being banned (dont remember the exact year because i graduated in 1995, i think musharraf banned...whatever) student unions existed in the 90's.
Since i graduated from Islamia College Civil Lines, Jamiat had a hold on that college, My Cousin was Nazim of Vetrenary College of Jamiat, my elder brother was Rafiq in Jamiat and I also became a member of Jamiat in college in early 90's.
All of the Student Unions were sponsored by Political Parties. All of them had hold on different colleges, Jamiat was the largest and MSF was second.

Jamiat (Jamat-e-Islami)
MSF = Muslim Students Federation (PML later PMLN)
PSF = Peoples Student Federation (PPP)
ISF = Islamcic Student Federation
Although there were others but these were the prominent ones.
It is a shame to tell you that the main roll of these organizations under the orders of politicians was to fight, torture, strikes, danga fasad, and even Kill their opponents when required. All kinds of weapons and financial support was provided to them by politicians.
Principals,Teachers, Management, Bus/Van Drivers even Police were afraid of Students, because of Political backing Student organizations used to harass, kidnap and torture anyone at will. Torture centers existed in hostels where students from opponent organizations and people from all walks of life were brought and inhumanely tortured, wont go in details just one example to make you understand the brutality, Some of them were brought hands, legs tied with ropes, made naked and their backs were burnt with hot (iron, press, istari) what ever you call. This was a signature for the rest of their life.
The Nazim (the jamiat union head in a particular institution) of the college used to call strike on the orders of his masters and from Principal to peon no one dared to stop them. Govt. Buses/Vans damaged and burned, College hostels where union boys stayed were attacked and several time cross firing used to take place. The Nazim used to give admission in the college to his favourite students at will, no merit, no rules nothing and the principal was helpless to stop.
I dont want to make it lenghty it was just a glimpse, you can buy books if interested to study the history of all this crap.
The point in writing all this was to show you that the request of IK to youth is not a ordinary sentence, it can have grave consequences if youth goes out of control so he is preaching to them No Violence.
Most of you who are my age fellow and have witnessed all this will understand much better what it really means.
Another Greatness of IK is that he Forgave all those who misbehaved with him In Punjab University a strong hold of Jamiat and rightly mentioned that no need to waste time on such scoundrels.
Hope i did not bore you, and sorry if i did.
I would rate this the best words of my life whereas Ik is concerned. After Hearing all this Believe me i am still not able to find words to Praise this Great Man.....Really felt Proud of My Leader.
May Allah help him in making a Naya Pakistan.

Khan Sahab kia aap itne La ilm hain Tareekhi haqaiq se ke aap yeh tak nahi Jante ke Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto aur us ke pure Khandan ko in Haraaami Faujiyon ne Maut ke Ghaat Uttar diya

I totally agree with Abugee post. I also witnessed the same in University of the Punjab New Campus, where all departments activities, farewell and welcome functions, student admissions, sports, dean offices, and Vice Chancellor office bureaucracy, hostel management including the women hostels and sopping areas, buses, hostel recruitments, allotment of hostel rooms, Jamiat's meetings, opening/closing of gates leading to hostels, every thing was under Jamiat's control. No one could dare to challenge them fearing to face the consequences and violence. They even hold students from class rooms to show their power and strength and declare their self-assumed responsibility of monitoring of University environment including academic staff's activities to the canteen areas. In every departmental function 2/3 persons from Jamiat attended the function namely to monitor the situation and keep students with in 'ISALMIC PARAMETERS'. In girls hostels their counterpart ladies wrapped in Burqa were allowed to attend meetings with their Jamaati 'Brothers' used to heod in Old Campus, and coming back around 2 AM mornings without accountability. The dilemma was that almost majority of Jamiat students were from rural areas with poor academic credentials and controlling the university activities terrorising the rest. I must say they act as 'SELF IMPOSED FARISHTEY'.

Just one correction: ISO wasn't Islamic student organisation and didn't represent Madaris. It was actually Imamia student organisation and represented Shiite students of that university or college

ZA Bhuto would not have been in politics, had Ayub Khan not indoctrined him to his cabinet. Otherwise Bhuto would have been a lawyer in Larkana at best. This is the point IK was trying to make.
