ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, on Wednesday said corrupt politicians were conspiring to subjugate the judiciary to hide their corruption.

?I can smell a conspiracy is being hatched again to subjugate the judiciary and scuttle its independence,? charged Imran Khan while talking to a Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) delegation, led by its President Qazi Muhammad Anwar, which called on him here.

Imran proposed the judicial commission should consist of judges to ensure transparency instead of the government and the opposition also having representation in it. Imran resolved to foil what he termed a well-thought-out conspiracy against the judiciary and to support all the voices, which would be raised in its support.

About the Parliamentary Committee on Constitutional Reforms (PCCR), he said that the real job of the special parliamentary panel should have been the repeal of the highly controversial 17th Amendment.
