Indian Railways' ad shows Delhi in Pakistan

Indian Railways Authorities went red-faced on Saturday after an advertisement in almost all the leading newspapers on the day of inauguration of Maharajas Express from Kolkata to Nalanda showed Delhi in Pakistan.
The advertisement was published by the Eastern Railway.
Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee is scheduled to flag off the Maharajas Express in Kolkata today.
The map showed Kolkata, Gaya in Bay of Bengal, Varanasi in Orissa, Gwalior in Maharashtra and Delhi in Pakistan.
Railway authorities, however, completely absolved themselves of responsibilities saying it was the fault of the concerned advertising agency.
Raliways has blacklisted the ad agency.

If you switch on your brain at the same time you open your eyes, Indian territory is clearly marked so it is India which has shrunk not other way round.
You will see very visibly that all of Punjab, Haryana and parts of UP, Himachal and Rajistan have been included in Pakistan.
Seems map has been drafted by a Sikh who has been little liberal in boundries as I did not know they have some claim in Rajistan as well.
But point to be noted is it has been merged into Pakistan and not shown as Khalistan.

Ps. If it still does not work, take a live wire, one in your ear and one in nostril, turn Mains on, it should work as we have tried this on Indians and it normally works,
but if you are really a DHEETH Kind, repeat every five minutes going down to two minutes for a few days if it still does not work (still breathing) double the current on continuous supply. We will know if it worked, if you did not respond.

when a country occupies another country it doesnt carries away its capital there. the capital remain on its own place and the occupied area become its state. however in this map they ve clearly shown that islamabad is the capital and remains on its own place and the country merged means india has merged. the capital of pakistan stands on the same place.. so i think indian guy think oover it. ur giving in urself.

It seems to be the season of advertisement gaffes in ministries. After the Ministry of Women and Child Development goofed up by showing a picture of a former top military officer of Pakistan in one of its advertisements, its now the turn of the Rail Ministry to commit a blunder.

NOTHING NEW: Just two months ago, the Ministry of Women and Child Development had released an advertisement featuring the picture of former Pakistan Air Force chief Tanvir Mahmood Ahmed alongside Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

The Railways today came out with an advertisement in all the leading newspapers to announce the inauguration of Maharajas Express from Kolkata to Nalanda. Curiously, the advertisement shows Delhi in Pakistan territory.

LAHORE: An advertisement released by Punjab police seeking peoples cooperation in combating terrorism carried the insignia of Indian Punjab police to the embarrassment of many.

The advertisement which appeared in several national dailies showed three lions standing back to back on top of the small insignia, clearly indicating its Indian origin.

The base of the insignias of police in Pakistan and Indian Punjab is the same. The difference is that the top of the Indian Punjab police insignia has three lions while that of the Pakistani Punjab police features a star.

The Indian insignia is an adaptation of the Ashokas emblem while the Pakistani insignia reflects the national flag.

It may be mentioned that an advertisement published in Indian newspapers on Jan 24 this year had carried a picture of former Pakistan Air Force Chief Air Marshal Tanvir Mehmood Ahmad instead of the Chief of Indian Air Force.

We have settled the score, a caller remarked.

IGP Tariq Saleem Dogar said the insignia faux pas had hurt feelings of patriotic people, including police personnel.

The advertisement was released by the police department without any insignia. It was inserted afterwards when the copy was sent to the Punjab Directorate General of Public Relations for release to the press, the IGP said.

The mistake has been made by the information department. I have already talked to the information secretary, asking him to find out whether this is a human error or a deliberate effort, he said, adding that this was certainly an unpardonable mistake.

Information Secretary Shoaib bin Aziz admitted that the insignia was inserted after the police department had sent a copy of the advertisement to the DGPR for publications in newspapers.

But, he said, the mistake had been committed by the advertising agency through which the advertisement was released to the press.

This is a human error as someone in the agency downloaded the emblem from internet last night and pasted it on the copy without verifying it, the secretary said.

He, however, said the error was grave and a warning notice had been given to the advertisement agency.

No official of the agency was available for comment.
