Indians are more entrepreneurial than others: Survey

Entrepreneurs in India are optimistic about the country's future, according to a new survey by the Legatum Institute, an independent think-tank based in London .

A majority of respondents in the survey -- Survey of Entrepreneurs: India -- which polled 2,357 individuals, believes that the country is a good place for entrepreneurs to succeed.

The confidence among India's senior managers, entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs -- the country's wealth-creators -- is very high. Nearly 84 per cent believe India is headed in the right direction, and nearly 9 in every 10 people polled say they expect India to be in a stronger economic position in the next five years.

The two most important factors affecting India's future growth, the survey shows, are making the government more business-friendly and cleaning up corruption.

Family is the main source of the entrepreneurial spirit and start-up funds in an economy, where entrepreneurs swear by jugaad, the Hindi word meaning ingenuity, often used to bypass stifling rules and corrupt practices.

Two-thirds of the respondents believe Indians are more entrepreneurial than other nations, including their future superpower rivals China. More than half the respondents (53 per cent) are tipping themselves to create the world's biggest economy within 20 years.

I personally admire the development which Indians and Chinese are experiencing in the last few years and would like to extend the well wishes to our neighbours. But in the meanwhile the benefits of that economic progress should also start to benefit the deprived communities of India which includes the minorities and low caste Hindus. Plus the biggest regressive factor for India is its gigantic defence budget which seems to sap its majority of sources for the welfare of its common populace to its armed forces thanks to the complying of the Chanakya theory by the ruling establishment of India in marinating the worse relations with every of its neighbours and to forge good relations with their (There opponents) neighbours

India have to scale down its hostilities with its neighbours and especially with Pakistan and should try to resolve its all core and other issues amicably so that the bulk of Indias finances should not be allocated in order to create anarchy and strife in its neighbours especially Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka but instead of this it should be diverted for the economic and social uplift of its poorest of the poor communities. By employing to this strategy I hope India will develop in leaps and bounds along with its other South Asian neighbours and who knows that we might see in near future the Free-Trade zone of South Asia with the similitude of NAFTA, EU, ASEAN etc where every individual of this region can reap the benefits of its development and forget to immigrate to the racist and bigot regions of the world.
