How come police let him go, police needs more training and they should have the authority to shoot at sight whenever someone tries to manhandle.
This is what I have been professing all though my life on this forum, round 15 years, that there should be police reforms, police should be the most powerful institute within the country, a simple policeman should have more authority than any general so that when such time comes, it is the policeman who should have a say and not the people on the road. FOUJ can have its say on the borders and nearby areas. There should be no cantonment areas near or in the cities. Policies should be made to control the badmashi, which means anyone abusing, manhandling or arguing with police, would be treated severely, irrespective of who he or she is. The rule of FOUJ officers travelling with their squads or in uniform other than their duty, should be changed and if FOUJ officer cannot provide a valid order or duty document, he should be treated like any other person on the road.
What would have this policeman done, if it were a commoner, a simple civilian citizen? Generally they slap him immediately and take to jail, then why not in this case, where the person really deserves it.
On the contrary what will happen, as always, if the person is really a FOUJI, the policeman would be fired or will be called for inquiries, sometimes even their DG is called and is beaten or is made to apologize to officers of captain rank (talking about that famous Motorway incident where a captain had fight with motorway police and then he came back with his complete FOUJ and kidnapped motorway policemen, called their IG to come, apologize and then take his men back after they were beaten).
