I think the question was whether they were billionaires or not? being a billionaire and running a business in profit are two different things, and being a tax evader is yet another aspect.Very wrong analysis, if they were profitable and declaring the profits, they could have easily shown how much income tax they paid, which would have shown what income they declared to maintain their life styles. In any country they would have been jailed for non declaration of the income.
Now truly from the academic POV, if someone presents you some income tax documents, how would you do the reverse calculation to ascertain that the amount he has shown as income tax correctly reflects his income? and that, he has not hidden anything or colluded with the income tax personnel by bribing them to show less income?Your analysis is flawed, because a big corporation could still pay billions in import duties and energy bills and still suffers a loss. In any case, persons can not show that as proof of their Personal Taxes.
Well, the article also discusses the amendments of the constitution to curb horse trading in the parliament, which has been our history. There are no questions that why this horse trading cannot be sponsored and/or influenced by foreign powers?Upholding the law, as demonstrated on the night of the vote of no confidence when the motion was thrown out over a fake foreign conspiracy theory.

I think he is now trying to distance himself from the disaster. Such outbursts only indicate that he sees no future in his current party and he also knows that a continued affiliation with them will do more harm than good. He is the rat jumping off the ship.Ofcourse he has no love lost between ishaq dar who by the way is the economic hitman. But its really a nail in the coffin when someone like a failaure dar is preferred over you.
A wise question Doctor Sahab. He never criticised dynasty in PMLN when he was the finance minister.Supposedly if was still in PMLN and on top of it Finance Minister, would have he written this piece in dawn???
Asking just for Information!

I kept myself away from social media due to work and study commitments. Every now and then I was checking out siasat.pk to keep myself updated. Thank you for remembering me though I came back after a long time. You were always one of the most respected members on siasat.pk for me. Thank you for your good wishes. I also wish you happiness from the Almighty Allah.True.

Well, he certainly is trying to look towards them, but perhaps waiting for the right time to join, because at the moment, PTI has locked horns with the estb. He wouldn't like to join now and bear any probable backlash from the estb.>>
True, in addition, it is obvious he wants to change the boat, looks to me like he wants to join PTI in the future.
He won't gain much by joining JI. PTI has a history of getting the services of the opposition's finance ministers. He is thinking that PTI may be in the government by the end of the year and he may become their finance minister. Let's see which party he joins.Well, he certainly is trying to look towards them, but perhaps waiting for the right time to join, because at the moment, PTI has locked horns with the estb. Not joking, but I think he is going to join JI, if things did not go well between PTI and establishment. JI is working in Karachi and is likely to secure some seats in this election. Miftah is an industrialist/saith ... Karachi is his gold quarry.

Your argument carries substantial weight. By writing against dynastic politics, one thing is for sure and that he is not looking at PPP at least. So the only two parties left are JI and PTI.He won't gain much by joining JI. PTI has a history of getting the services of the opposition's finance ministers. He is thinking that PTI may be in the government by the end of the year and he may become their finance minister. Let's see which party he joins.
