Only those living Overseas away from home will be interested in this Act otherwise to lure Lahore’s you need to have "STARS". In 1997 General Elections "Cultural Wing" of PPP arranged eight (8) "Geetoon Bhari Shamee.n" at different locations in Lahore. A free treat to watch and enjoy film stars and singers. Being 'film reporter' I was accommodated near the stage. Pick and drop was from "Lahore Press Club". Seven shows were held but 8th one got cancelled as "Public" used to enjoy till 'Munir Hussain" appearance on stage. His song never got completed as public start shouting against Bhutto (Himself) when he raised his melodious "UTHO MERAY GHAREEBOON KO JAGA DOO"! Police had to baton charge public each time and to escort VVIP's (Singers/Actresses/Press) from the venue! Aah!! Those were the days!
