Supporting any political party is a fundamental right. No body can be condemned for being a supporter of a political party, whether we like that party or not.
But what should be strongly condemned is this mentality that says the we'll vote for our party even if it nominates an electric poll or a dog as its candidate. This is the typical slave mentality that has hurt our country and it is unfortunately present among supporters of every single party including PTI.
If we are willing to vote for electric polls and dogs, then we'll get electric polls and dogs as our representatives as the leadership will not feel the need to give tickets to better candidates. The argument that we are voting for the party so candidate is immaterial is wrong. The candidates we choose will be responsible for law and policy making as well as for keeping an eye on the working of the government. If these are not competent and honest, problems will remain with policy and governance no matter how good the top leadership is.
So supporters of all parties should demand that their parties nominate the best possible candidates, not electric polls and dogs. If a party does not do so, then don't vote for such electric poll and dog type candidates so the party learns its lesson for the next elections.
