No objection from China for India's bid for UNSC seat: Yechury

BEIJING: China has said that it has "no objection" to India's candidature for a permanent seat in the UN Security Council but was firmly opposed to Japan's bid for the same due to "historical baggage", according to CPM leader Sitaram Yechury.

China's stand in this regard was conveyed to CPM politburo member, Yechury by top Chinese diplomat and state councillor Dai Bingguo.

"He (Dai) bent over backwards to explain to me saying that they are not against India being there (UNSC) at all," Yechury who held a two hour long meeting with Dai yesterday told Indian media here today.

"China has no objection to India becoming (permanent) member of UNSC. India is India but not as part of G-4," he said, adding that that it was for the first time perhaps there was a sense of clarity in China's stand on India's bid.

But at the same time the Chinese diplomat stated that China has problem to come out in support as India has become part of the G-4 group, (India, Japan, Germany and Brazil) to campaign for its UNSC bid.

"For us there is historical baggage with Japan and China can never accept Japan's membership," he told Yechury. India should have verified with China before joining the G-4, (India, Japan, Germany and Brazil) as Beijing can not support Japan's bid due to historical discord.

"The fact that India chose to be in Japan's company and if anybody talked (to us) we would have immediately told to you that," Yechury who is in China on the invitation of ruling Communist Party of China, (CPC) to develop party to party relations quoted Dai as saying.

He said Dai, the designated Chinese Special Representative along with India's National Security Advisor, (NSA) Shivshankar Menon for talks resolve border dispute "dropped" in to meet him for 45 minutes.

GUYS this is just a statement given by an indian politician and nothing official has been released from chinese foreign office regarding this statement so sit back calm, india is only pushing hoaxed growing bilateral & military relations with china but the reality is - China has her stake in tibet & uttar pradesh and they are increasingly itching their way occupying india's UP km by km

CHINA knows if she opts giving up on Pakistan, India & Russia will leave china nowhere
- USA at the other hand fears China & vice versa (So chinese having their concerns need to develop military relations with Pakistan in order to survive in the region
- USA has her stakes in afghanistan war, Chinese/indian growing economy & also the vindictive lost enemy the russians!

PAKISTAN IS IMMENSELY NEEDED BY USA/CHINA/RUSSIA/AFGHANISTAN/INDIA!

Because all wish to protect their respective stakes but ultimately we have to choose 1 - who it has to be!

India although doesnt need unsc membership..it is able to influence and will continue to influence world politics with a strong economy and defense along side of it being the largest democracy in world!!
In years to come,indian economy will be second largest by 2030!!

Remember that Power is not asked,it is acquired by self respect and dignity !!india just needs to fix its economy and continue to reform the manufacturing and services sector;
It should continue to have good relations with china !it should also should assuage pakistan concerns and continue to discuss all disputes peacefully!!

Just to share with you all. When Patriots is in power, in terms of foreign policy, the major shift would be to recede from the United Nations.

I truly believe, and hopefully most Pakistanis would support me on this, that UN may have been a need of the time when Germany lost the war and allied countries wanted ways to counter Germany politically and prosecute soldiers of the pro-Germany countries.

Now the time has changed and its usefulness is a thing of the past. As a matter of fact, the UN is nothing but a front of the US to control the world. The UN has not done a diddly squat specially for Muslims cause, be it Palestine, or Kashmir. No UN resolution, to my knowledge, has been respected and followed upon by countries that have good relationship with the US, vis-a-vis Isarel and India.

But on the other hand, UN has been very fast to pass resolutions AGAINST Muslim countries. In one instance US has defied the UN and went into Iraq anyway and UN stood by silent - so much for united nations.

UN security council is also a hoax and has been created to exert military pressure on Muslim countries. All white countries are exempt from prosecution for not living up to the UN resolutions.

So it will be the policy of my party, Patriots, to announce a 6 months period, thru parliament, for the UN to show it can enforce its resolutions on Israel and India for Palestine and Kashmir. Failing to show any progress, Pakistan will invoke the Parliament resolution and withdraw its membership from united nations.

This is the only way a country, specially Pakistan, can be self sufficient and independent.

Pakistan is itself violator of many resolutions!!according to unsc ,pakistan should vacate kashmir ;pakistan has allowed punjabis to settle down in mirpur,gilgit and balistan!!
pakistan will leave UN :) UN is the second biggest source of aid for pakistan !!

Baby,pakistan is not in position to demand anything for next 10 years!!
