RASHID LATIF CRICKET ACADEMY.

City Nazim Karachi Syed Mustafa Kamal has said that the Rashid Latif Cricket Academy in Korangi will be inaugurated soon. A grand function will be held to mark this occasion in which famous present and retired cricketers and prominent sports personalities will be invited.
During a visit of Rashid Latif Cricket Academy Ground with concerned officers and
founder of academy former international cricketer Rashid Latif he directed concerned officials to provide all those facilities to this ground which are considered mandatory for holding of test matches and international events.
He also instructed that the stadium should be equipped with floodlights and a standby generator with all other accessories that could be used as backup during power failure.
Nazim Karachi said that City Government has paid special attention on the social sector during the current fiscal year. Quality sports and recreation facilities have been provided to youths in Karachi so that they could express their talent at the highest level and brighten their countrys name. Already two cricket stadiums with flood lights have been completed in the city while another stadium will be provided with flood lights next month.
Nazim Karachi said that the Rashid Latif Cricket Academy in Federal B. Area has started training of young cricketers while the Korangi branch will also be inaugurated soon. He said that the people of Korangi are fortunate to have a modern cricket ground with international standard where international matches can be held also.
He said that city government will also construct such stadiums in Orangi, Baldia Town and New Karachi where young and energetic cricketers would get all necessary facilities to show their skills.
Karachi would in future provide maximum number of talented and highly skilled players to National Cricket Team.
Our youth now instead of playing at roads and streets, would have the opportunity to play cricket at well standard cricket grounds, Nazim Karachi said.
