Since VONC, PDM had gone to a back foot.
They had no plan, no vision, no clue what to do.
They were looking continuously at Bajwa for direction whether to go for election, who to give ministries too, how to deal with issues etc.
Most importantly PTI was foreward vision, they knew that elections will come eventually so they started their campaign / protests / rallies / ticket distribution etc. PDM had no answer. Their only strategy was to reply on whatever IK was doing. if he calls jalsa, try to stop jalsa, if he dissolves assemblies try to not get it dissolved etc.
Scared of their demise the one thing that they didn't do was go for fresh elections and remain in power, the worst move ever.
Tried to bring in this monster, by extending his retirement first, finding out if he had grudge against IK and then using it to crush IK.
As a fauji he is trained to do that and has the resources in hand to do it.
What they didn't know was this monster will not stop at IK, he will just get hungrier, he wants it all. In the process he has destroyed every single state institution that was barely reforming, to suit his agenda. NAB/FBR/Police/Judiciary/StateBank/Parliament & every other state instituion has to run the way monster wants it to run. Regardless if it is unlawful or unconstitutional. The people in the state departments are like his minions, small monsters who also like their master want to grow on their own, so once shown the way they also wont' stop destroying the whole institute in the process. Look at Punjab Police, looting public at every corner, do you think they will stop their? No it will only get worse. Eventually a lawless society that has decline written on its fate & no ray of hope.
