14 Jan 2010:

Karachi Jan 14: Responding to the appeal of City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal the association of private schools in Karachi has expressed willingness to provide a 6 months fee waiver to children of arson affected traders and all martyred or injured in the blast on Ashura. A delegation of All Private Schools Management Association (APSMA) led by Chairman Khalid Shah called on City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal at his office to announce the decision. On this occasion APSMA Chairman also asked for the list of the affectees so that they could take immediate measures for waiving of school fee of their children.

Chairman of APSMA Khalid Shah said that they had initiated measures just after the appeal of City Nazim as they highly respect Nazim Karachi and are grateful to him for great service to city of Karachi. He further said that the students and teachers of private schools have expressed desire to pay tribute to City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal for his excellent works in Karachi. The Association has decided to hold a reception in honor of City Nazim.

City Nazim on this occasion said that the city government was using all of its resources for early rehabilitation of affectees. The contractors of CDGK and KWSB and members of ABAD were also taking part in the restoration process that has delivered this message to enemies that they will never succeed in their evil designs.

He also thanked the private schools management association for responding to his appeal and said that the final list of children of affectees will soon be provided to the association for further action. City Nazim also asked the association to exempt the fee of wards of all those 45 families whose members were martyred in the Ashura blast so that they could also carry on their studies.

Good Step
but fingers are still pointed at MQM for assisting BW for the incident.
This kind of propoganda may work for MQM supporters
but for others question mark remains about MQM involvement in the incident.

People of Karachi should be appreciated for what they did to support their fellow Karachiites.

Nawaz Sharif will change the fate of Karachi and all Pakistan.

When some one pointing finger at some one.
More fingers pointing towards him/her.
One can observe it practically.

In the last 20 years, 'Nawaz Shareef' has only changed his fate from a "teen daba" family business to an industrialist. Poeople who want to change the fate of nation do not put effort in changing their fate first. My father worked for textile industry for years. During his term Nawaz Shareed did everything possible to destroy the textile industry of Karachi an example below.

Cotton and other textile related chemicals, when imported are brought to Karachi port. Then they have to pass through a custom and industrial regulation and taxation process. He changed the process, so that all the material brought to Karachi port is then taken to the Lahore dry port and that is where the custom and auditing is done and then cotton and other related chemicals and distributed in the whole country. Since the dry port was in Lahore, they factories in Pujab had to pay the usual minimal transportation charges but for the Mills in Sindh the transportation cost became double as everything had to be transported to the dry port and then back to Karachi. Due to that the cost of raw material was so high that many companies could not compete in the market for their finished goods. Hunderds of new factories were then moved to Punjab becuase lower cost of manufacturing.

So this is how he is going to change the fate of the country? Mr Chaudhry!!

Whatever, the ordinary peoples see and makes comments are non reflective of the professional approach.
I being a professional involved in urban Planning and Environmental and transportation issues, have professional views on these so-called Mega projects.
These projects were carried out without any study and developing alternatives solutions on cost benefits analysis.
The peoples appointed for these projects either were non qualified or corrupt, whose ultimate objectives were to get share in looting the national wealth.

Remember the money is public money and we should not allow any one, whosoever to loot for their personal benefits.

The last and important things that neither nazim nor any of our ruling elite tried to develop and strengthen the institutional but all are busy in their personal publicity. In the modern world, there are the well defined and strengthen institutions and the professional advices of the institutions are given the importance. Their mayors, councilors or even general managers never go to the sites and the peoples responsible for it fulfill their duties under the fair system of responsibilities and accountability. While in our case there is only a pick and choose system and there is fully involvements of the political leadership, including mayors, councilors etc. in the affairs of the development programming.

Hope, we will set-aside the political affiliation and try our best to strengthen the institutions to work independently and professionally without any interference from the political wings.

What you means to allow corruption on the pretext that something is going to be done.
Please come out from your foolish paradise. it is not their money, It is the public money and we must held each and everyone accountable no matter to whom they belongs.

Our attitutde must change and we will fear the ALLAH and develop the courage to stand against evils in orders to establish a just and fair system.
