PTV's Renowned News caster Shaista Zaid calls it a day - LAST BULLETIN on PTV News (1969-2012)

I use to watch her news every day at 7pm.
Once my teacher asked me to read from a book, after i've read, my teacher said 'you read like a news reader'.
So, it must be her pronunciation which i learn.

She is a Legend I grew up listen her. These days news casters from any channel no way near her.

We will never forget her voice cos we litterly grew up with this. Everyday 6 or sometimes 7pm was her time. May Allah bless her with health and forgive her sins of this job being reading all the crap ptv has to offer everyday about all the praises for the political and military crooks who ever made it in power.

Once our English teacher was clarifying the two sounds of the word "The" as "Dhee" and "Dhaa". The teacher told when the following word starts with a vowel then it will sound as "dhee" otherwise "dhaa"......................The teacher quoted the famous last sentence of Shaista Zaid at the end of every news bulletin by her:

"This is the (dhee) end of the (dhaa) news"

I egularly listened her on PTV to improve my own english pronounciation and grammer...she was a great teacher too..Allah bless her..

she is truly amazing newscaster when i child i saw her i listened i learn her a lot ......she is perfect in his essences i love her voice she is brilliant not doubt abt that ...

We will miss Madam, though I didn't watch her for long but I learnt our initial English by listening her clear English. Your face and voice reminded us our innocent childhood.

i recall from my school days........ somebody told me she was wife of Shiekh Zaid bin Sulran An'naheyan......... i dont know if it was true or otherwise....... must be cuz of Zaid in her name.......
