SAMAA obtains CCTV footage of May 11 Landhi blast

KARACHI: SAMAA has obtained a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage of a bomb blast in Karachi’s Landhi town which killed three people on May 11 election day, SAMAA reported.

Over thirty people were injured in the explosion which ripped through a busy market place in Ladhi’s Dawood Chali last week.

The powerful blast apparently targeted ANP candidate Aman Ullah outside the party’s election office. However, the candidate remained safe in the attack.

Police said the bomb was planted in a rickshaw parked near ANP office. Infuriated protestors later ransacked several shops and resorted to aerial firing, disrupting election process in the area. -- SAMAA
