KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Monday ordered the release of Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H) leaders Afaq Ahmad and Amir Khan on bail.
Afaq and Amir, who head two separate factions of the MQM-H, have been asked to submit surety bonds worth Rs300,000 each.

The court has also suspended the life imprisonment term awarded to them by the session court. The two had been awarded life sentences last year on charges of murder and kidnapping of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers in 1996.

Amir Khan had earlier been released from the Central Jail for four hours on parole so that he could attend his nephews funeral. His nephew, Muhammad Sabih Khan, 32, was murdered on Friday in Gulistan-e-Jauhar.

Afaq ahmed was recently nominated in the murder of MQM activist farooq baig.He wont be released from prison until that case is solved.
Aamir khan is either released or detained under the public maintenance order.There are no more cases pending against his name in the courts.
