You seem racist!! is racism not against Islam?????
In his book, IK categorically mentioned that all the prophscies that Mian Bashir had told him or Jamima came true . Be it about the services, life or anything else.
When Imran Khan was about to build the hospital. Mian Bashir told him that this act of his of making the hospital will elevate him before Allah and that its his buggest achievenment in afterlife. When IK and his party was struggling after 7 years of its formation, Mian Bashir once told them that ' the time is not right and his party will take charge when Imran Khan would be ready."
And Mian Bashr's last prophecy before his death in 2005 was that there are many life threatning risks for Imran Khan if he comes too close to the power corridors.
Does anyone know more about it?
In his book Imran Khan introduces Mian Bashir as "the single most powerful spiritual influence" on him who completely changed his direction in life.
Imran met him at one of his friend's place in Lahore in 1988 the first time. He was a clean shaved frail looking ordinary person in his sixties who had retired as junior civil servant. He shocked him by asking that did Imran read repeatedly one specific verse from Quran and when Imran said no then Mian Bashir closed his eyes and then said yes he was mistaken, it was not Imran but Imran's mother who used to recite this as a prayer for her son. Astounded Imran had to confirm this to him as this was indeed a verse which his mother used to repeatedly recite for his protection. He also told some other intimate family things to him which nobody outside family would know. When Imran asked how he knew all this he replied by saying, "It is the will of Allah, at times He shows me something even without my asking for it".
From 1988 till the death of Mian Bashir in 2005 he became Imran's close associate. In the book Imran narrates many incidences when Mian Bashir guided him through his unique spiritual gifts. More importantly, Imran turned to spirituality and faith to a large extent because of this man. One of his attractions for Imran were that he never directed him to do any thing. He never insisted that Imran should practice Islamic rituals. Imran, who had been struggling with religion till then says that "the difference between the way I learned about Islam from him and the way I had been taught at school or by the maulvis who used to come and teach me the Quran at home was that he never insisted on any religious rituals". He didn't even prayed for him. "I would ask him to pray for me and he would insist that I pray for myself, or I would ask his advice and rather than giving it to me he would tell me to pray to God for direction. He never asked for a thing and would say that any religious person who charged people money was a quack".
Mian Bashir taught Imran that any belief system that failed to instill compassion was not a real religion or had failed to touch the person internally. When Imran Khan started his hospital project Mian Bashir would say to him that nothing would please Allah more than the hospital he was building for the poor.
Mian Bashir also introduced Imran to spirituality of Sufism which is based on humility. "The more knowledge you have the more you should realize how little you know. I find that people who are deeply knowledgeable, like Mian Bashir, deeply humble".
Imran says that never, in the twenty years that he knew Mian Bashir, were one of his prophecies ever wrong. "Like most people brought up in the West, my ex-wife Jemima was also quite skeptical about this talent. When she first met him he asked her to write down three things she wanted more than anything in her life. He left her completely awestruck when without even looking at the piece of paper he told her exactly what her three wishes were".
There are a couple of more mind boggling events that Imran Khan has narrated in his book whereby he got guidance from Mian Bashir when he was deeply stuck in a mire.
In the epilogue of the book Imran says that about seven years ago when his party was really not coming together and his close associates were loosing hope and there was a despair all around he says that one of his other friends called Mian Bashir: 'When will our party come into power?" Mian Bashir closed his eyes and meditated for about five minutes and looked at Imran and said when he was ready to take on the responsibility. Imran writes that when he said that, "it occurred to me that I was not ready. Fifteen years after forming the party, I feel that my party and I are not only ready, but mine is the only party that can get Pakistan out of its current desperate crisis. After fourteen years of the most difficult struggle in my life, my party is finally taking off, spreading like a wild fire across the country..."
Whatever ones believes are in life it is important to understand how people get transformed, what influences them so effectively that it changes their direction in life, especially if such people develop strong determination to be leaders and assume responsibility to change their societies for good, like Imran Khan seems to have.
now it looks like a fantasy novel(hmm)
I have already read it. I am asking more information about it.
