اقوام متحدہ کی انسانی حقوق کونسل کے ورکنگ گروپ برائے جبری حراست نے پاکستان کے سابق وزیر اعظم عمران خان کی قید کے حوالے سے گہری تشویش کا اظہار کیا ہے۔ان کی 17 صفحات پر مشتمل تفصیلی رپورٹ میں یہ نتیجہ اخذ کیا گیا ہے کہ عمران خان کی قید عالمی انسانی حقوق کے اعلامیہ (UDHR) اور بین الاقوامی عہد نامہ برائے شہری و سیاسی حقوق (ICCPR) کی خلاف ورزی ہے۔ یہ رپورٹ ان کی فوری رہائی اور بین الاقوامی قانون کے مطابق معاوضے کا مطالبہ کرتی ہے۔ورکنگ گروپ ان افراد کو بھی جوابدہ ٹھہرانے کا مطالبہ کرتا ہے جنہوں نے عمران خان کے بنیادی انسانی حقوق کی خلاف ورزی کی ہے۔اسکے ساتھ رپورٹ میں پی ٹی آئی کے سپورٹرز اور ممبران کی غیر قانونی گرفتاریوں اور جبری گمشدگیوں پر بھی گہری تشویش کا اظہار کیا گیا ہے اور متعلقہ اداروں کو ان کی فوری رہائی کے لئے اقدامات کرنے پر زور دیا ہے۔رپورٹ میں عمران خان کے میڈیا بلیک آؤٹ، تحریک انصاف کے رہنماؤں کو زبردستی پارٹی چھوڑنے پر مجبور کرنے اور پی ٹی آئی کے جلسوں اور ریلیوں پر فسطائیت کا بھی ذکر ہے۔

After reading the 17 page 107 point report, there is nothing really in there we already don't know or hasn't been discussed, from illegal detention to fake cases, violation of numerous rights, military courts, mass arrests and illegal detentions to as well as clamp down on media over reporting on Khan.
The conclusion is interesting though. That not only Khan be immediately released but compensated too
99. The Working Group considers that, taking into account all the circumstances of the case, the appropriate remedy would be to release Mr. Khan immediately and accord him an enforceable right to compensation and other reparations, in accordance with international law.
100. The Working Group urges the Government to ensure a full and independentinvestigation of the circumstances surrounding the arbitrary deprivation of liberty ofMr. Khan and to take appropriate measures against those responsible for the violation of his rights.
Then there are a few more points on follow up procedure that the Pakistani govt must do and report back to them in a six month period to ensure something like this doesn't happen again
