Mere bachay, we know how in Pakistan politics works
We are not mature democratically that we WIN election just on NEW and FRESH faces. You need electables and fresh breed of People, both. Secondly, his newphew havent linked up with Gillani, he was with Musharraf and played his part quite well

[h=1]PTI bagged a turncoat, not a jiala![/h]LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) claims to have “taken the wicket” of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) by inducting PPP leader Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani’s nephew – Makhdoomzada Syed Asad Murtaza Gillani – in the party the other day. Little do the people making such claims know that the Gilani family had disowned Asad Murtaza the day he joined the PPPP forward bloc back in 2002.

Murtaza, who happens to be the son of Yousaf Raza Gilani’s sister, was elected an MNA for his first term as a PPPP candidate.

The family disowned Asad Murtaza when he joined the PPPP-Patriots, and Yousaf Raza Gilani had then made it clear that the actions of his nephew and those of other party members who had “chosen to align themselves with” the then regime “for their personal interests” was condemnable.

The former prime minister, while accepting responsibility for selecting Asad Murtaza for a party ticket from NA-152, had also resigned as the party’s vice chairman and as a central committee member. “My nephew has not only let me down but has also betrayed the trust of the voters and his party,” Gilani had then said in his four-page hand-written letter addressed to Benazir Bhutto, making it clear that the family no longer had any political ties with Asad Murtaza.

It may also be mentioned here that prior to joining the PTI, Asad Murtaza had been an established turncoat, who was a PML-N candidate from the NA-152 constituency back in 2008 and – after denied a ticket by the PML-N in 2013 general election – had later contested polls as an independent candidate.
