The property was surely owned by the offshore company and the offshore company was then owned by a trust, of which IK was just a beneficiary. So in my opinion, he did not violate any of Pakistani tax laws.

I just replied that he was not required to disclose the ownership of the apartment because he did not own it. It was owned by a offshore company. And even the offshore company was not owned by himself. This is how the offshore companies work. So not disclosing anything a out the apartment wasn’t against the law.
Similarly, the FBR did not ask Sharifs about not disclosing their offshores because they were not required to as they personally did not own the property or the offshores, a trust did which they controlled. They were only asked to elaborate the source of fund and not the missing disclosure of ownership. For Imran too they asked about the money trail for purchase of London property but not about lack of disclosure. It is how the law and the requirement of the law is. No one broke the law by not disclosing, niether Sharifs nor IK.

1- He kept that property for about nine years and he played abroad for 14 years.
2- Even if he was a resident in Pakistan, he wasn’t required to disclose the ownership of the property( read my answer in the above post).
3- Sharifs were residents in Pakistan all the time but owned properties in London through their offshores. And they were also not required to disclose those properties in their Pakistani tax returns. Same goes for Imran. You only disclose what you own personally. Niether IK nor Sharifs owned anything.

Yes I heard him saying this again in today's interview to Moeed Pirzada that he was not a pakistan resident in all those years where he played county.
