As a Muslim, I would like to say that just as the human body excretes filth, so does the human mentality emit hate, antipathy, jealously, and ignorance as shown by the evil-minded cartoonist who mendaciously depicted Prophet Mohammed who is revered and loved beyond words by 1.5 billion Muslims. What truly distinguishes him from the rest of mankind is his having been chosen by God as his messenger. In the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), God saw a man in whom the passion of human nature shone bright, and in whom there was no contradiction of thought, word, and deed. In the forty years before he attained prophethood, he had never once betrayed a trust. He was strictly honest in his dealings, true to his word, and deeply compassionate towards the human beings all around him. Most important of all, he had a profound desire for the truth, which went far and beyond all craving for profit. Even from a very early age, he was given the affectionate name of “As Sadiq al Amin,” the truthful and trustworthy and even those who opposed him never accused him of dishonesty or lying.

What truly distinguishes him from the rest of mankind is his having been chosen by God as his messenger. In the Prophet, God saw a man in whom the passion of human nature shine bright, and in whom there was no contradiction of thought, word, and deed. His most notable qualities were his honesty, mercy, kindness, generosity, and compassion. In Mohammed (SAWW), God found a pure soul, untarnished by self-interest, and totally uncompromising on the question of right and wrong. God saw in him a man selflessly devoted to his duties, and one who would never stoop to idolatrous belief. I considered it necessary to write briefly about Prophet Mohammed's (SAWW) life so that the non-Muslims readers should learn something about the person whose character is so viciously attacked. Not even the convenient excuse of freedom of the press is a reasonable a defence to justify this outrageous mockery. Such deliberate and unashamed intent and freedom of few dim hacks to mock Muslims is abhorrent to us all.

Allah is transcendent and beyond all physical perception of man and it is through the medium of a celestial messenger that Allah causes His Will and Command to be revealed to His human messenger for the sake of mankind. The messenger is only an intermediary for the reception and communication of the revelation; his role is neither of an author or compiler. Muslims believe that Prophet Mohammed (SAWW) is neither an angel nor any other kind of supernatural being, having been born into this world of a human mother, just like any of his fellow men. What truly distinguishes him from the rest of mankind is his having been chosen by God as his messenger. In the Prophet, God saw a man in whom the passion of human nature shine bright, and in whom there was no contradiction of thought, word, and deed.

The Quran continues to have a huge effect as being the most read book in the world. The Quran is the essence of Islam and its primary source of legislation and guidance. The main theme of the book is the relationship between a human and their Creator (Khaliq). Quran speaks of the Oneness and Supremacy of Allah, His mercy in sending Messengers with truth and the eventual fate of every soul to be held accountable for its deeds on the earth on the day of Judgement. We Muslims believe that it depends upon a reality, which is inscribed upon the heart of a man as Allah’s vicegerent as a creature created to reflect Allah’s qualities and affirm His absolute power and obey His commands and bow to Him always in humility. Islam lays very strong emphasis on the fact that man is composed simultaneously of two elements: his body and soul; and that he should not neglect one of these for the sole profit of the other.

The Quran is regarded as a literary masterpiece and respected by both Muslims and non-Muslims and its place in the classics of world literature is well established. In his translation of the Quran, Marmaduke Pickthall described it as “that inimitable symphony, the very sound of which moves man into tears and ecstasy”, and the German poet, Goethe had said: “However often we turn to it, it first sounds terse, it soon attracts, astounds, and in the end enforces our reverence. Its style is truly sublime, stern, grand, and magical
