"31 countries used or studied EVMs. Only 4 use it nationwide, 11 use EVMs in some parts. Pilots are on in 5 nations. Three nations have discontinued it while 11, which ran pilots, decided against electronic voting."

Thanks for the link. It actually says that EVM (not online) are very difficult to tamper with. Good to hear. And the examples it gives from Europe are more then 12 years old. I'm sure technology has improved since then.

Voter lists need to be automated. If voter lists are coming from one central database, you can ensure each individual is only loaded into a specific EVM once. So there is actually a pre-requisite to clean up the voter lists before hand (regardless of EVM being used or not).

Which is why I assume they want NADRA to maintain the voter lists - one ID card = 1 vote.
I'm not sure how ECP currently validates the voter lists against NADRA database.

Well if the country with the highest number of voters can use it successfully thats a good endorsement.

Western countries also have postal ballots, which you can submit weeks before election day. Each countries requirements are different. We should take the best practices as per our needs.

How many western countries use EVM nationwide?
Not many countries also have big dakus like Zardari, Altaf, Nawaz, Shabaz, fazalu, Malik Riaz. Pakistan needs reforms and strong accountability enforcement. Or these Big dakus and there uneducated blind donkey followers will destroy Institutions and Pakistan. they need to be stopped by Voting machines, police, NAB, courts.
