What is shirk (شرک کیا ہے) ??

Dear your above post is yet another repetition of so many others. There is nothing new in it. What you wish to
convey is:
a) Once a person professes to be Muslim, then he cannot be a Mushrik;
b) All verses in Quran about shirk are related to "THAT TIME OF MUSHRAYKEEN AND KAFREEN", AND not
for those who became Muslims, or for the latter generations who claim to be muslims.
What I am explaining to you is that:
i) Irrespective of professing to be muslim, if a person does anything which come into the ambit
of Shirk, he is Mushrik. and Quran's verse is explaining that " Majority of People while believing in Allah
also commit Shirk" or "THEY DO NOT BELIEVE ALLAH EXCEPT THAT THEY ARE ALSO MUSHRIK",

ii) Just wonder, why in repeated places, our Prophet(PBUH) was exhorted that "do not be among the
Mushraykeen". He in two places or so categorically made clear that "I am not among the Mushraykeen".
He was a Prophet(PBUH), direct link of Vahee, so then what was the need to make sure?????

iii) While describing the stories of Prophets, Allah(SWT) says that "If they had also committed Shirk,
all their deeds would have been vanished""", So what you say, they were Prophets.

iii) Where it was needed, Allah clearly demarcated those verses of Shrik with word of "Illah". when
people used to take them as "Illah".

The difference which is fundamental between your and mine approach is that you are not
willing to accept that "a person while believing in Allah, can commit also shirk", whereas I hold this
view.

Dear brother, thank you for raising more questions. The verses you are talking about wherein the prophets are told to not to be of mushrikeen. They are simply about allah commoding his prophets and they obeying him ie allah tells them to be muslims and they say we are muslims. He tells them not to be of those who believe in other gods beside allah and they obey ie do not believe in other gods beside allah so where is the problem?

Let me try and explain this further. Suppose you tell me or I tell you, brother do not be of those who take idols as gods beside allah. What are we going to make of that other than what is said? The idea is to not change belief after accepting islam. This has nothing to do with calling on a prophet YAA RASOOLALLAH. THis is not worship of the prophet beside allah as another god beside allah and that is my point.

Yaa muhammad keh ke uthta hai woh apne kaam se
haye kia taskeen milti hai usse is naam se.

Allaama iqbaal

During slah the phrase AYYU HANNABIYYU will be shirk according to your definiton of shirk.

Also allah says my faithful followers are my partners=HIZBULLAH, JUNDULLAH, AOLIAA ALLAH, MINALLAH etc.

Those who believe in MINDOONILLAH they and what they worship are party of SHAITAAN.

Again the idea that shirk means all kind of partnership regarding allah is shirk of unforgiveable nature against definition of towheed is wrong.

Even allah uses same words for himself an dhis messenger or even muslims eg Allah calls himself RAOOF and RAHEEM and the same words are used for the prophet ie RAOOF and RAHEEM. So mere use of even the very same words for allah and his crearture is not shirk save word allah or god=ilaah. So again it comes back to the point that only taking anyone else as god is shirk and nothing else.

Word azeez is used by sons of prophet yaqoob for the ruler of egypt 12/78, are they mushrik?

Prophet yusuf claims to be HAFEEZ 12/55, has he become a mushrik?

Word rab is used both for god and parents in 17/23 as well as and in 12/50 prophet yusuf called azeez rab of his people.

Here is what the quran says about performing the act of sajda for other than allah. Prophet jopseph sees in dream sun, moon and stars bow down to him in sajda 12/4. He tells this to his father and he endorses the dream and stops him from telling it to his brothers 12/5. Then if we look into 12/100 this happens in reality.

So all this proves that I am interpreting the quran correctly ie acts do not mean shirk without shirkia belief or intention.

I hope this explains things a bit more for you with further clear evidences.

regards and all the best.

Surah 24 AN-NUR – The Beacon for Peace 102

In the name of Allah the gracious the merciful.

[1] This constitution is revealed by Us and recommended by Us for mankind because in it are revealed by Us clear goals for mankind so that you attain and maintain peace and prosperity.

[2] Any administration or community that lives outside Our this constitution and any administrator or individual that lives outside Our this constitution by its own make beliefs, bring each and every one of them round to it even if they are gathered around hundreds of separate ideologies and let nothing get in your way for removing harmful things from them in accordance to the constitution of Allah if you really are committed to working for peace for the good end result for humanity. Moreover let a department of administration of those who are committed to working for peace closely observe causes of their suffering.

[3] Any administrator or individual who decides to live outside Our constitution does not join it but instead joins the administration or community that also decides to live outside Our constitution or a community that lives by rule of other than that of Allah. Any administration or community that decides to live outside Our constitution does not join it but instead joins the administrator or administration/community that also decides to live outside Our constitution or a community that lives by rule of other than that of Allah, however to do such a things is not right for those who claim to be committed to working for peace.
.
[4] Those who under false pretence try to overthrow administrations or communities that work properly according to Our constitution and cannot produce even a few reliable witnesses to support their words and actions, separate them from community isolating them for good and do not accept their testimonies ever because they are rebels

[5] unless they repent thereafter and make good the loss they have caused, in that case Allah is surely graceful and merciful.

[6] As for individuals who accuse their own administrations or communities for not working according to divine constitution but have no witness except themselves, each one of them shall be made to swear four times under oath in the name of Allah that one’s accusation is true,

[7] and the fifth time one should be made to say that may Allah isolate one from His mercy and leave one open to suffering if one is lying.

[8] The consequences will be averted from the administration if the administration personnel also swears four times under oath in the name ofAllah that the charge by the accuser is false,

[9] and the fifth time one representing administration or community should be made to say that may Allah isolate one from His mercy and leave one open to suffering if the charge against it is true.

In case of a few separate complaints against administrations, there should be proper investigations of the matter because isolated accusations become credible evidence that something is really wrong in the administration or community as in Surah 65 al Tallaaq.

[10] If it were not for Allah’s revelation as mercy for you, you would have no method of handling these situations. Allah surely turns to people with His guidance full of wisdom.

[11] Those who would concoct false accusations against others are numerous among you. Do not regard this necessarily an utterly bad thing for you rather it could prove useful for you in other ways like it keeps you alert ready to deal with dangers. Whoever takes any part in such exercises earns his share of consequences accordingly and the one who takes upon oneself the leading role faces the bigger consequences.

[12] Why is it that when those administrators or individuals and the administrations or the communities that are committed to working for peace hear such accusations against each other do not think better for each other and say, such accusations are clearly a false thing without any proving evidence?

[13] Why the accusers do not produced four witnesses? If they cannot produce the required reliable witnesses then they are liars in the light of Allah’s constitution.

[14] Were it not for the revelation as mercy of Allah for you in this world and the Hereafter, you would have suffered severely the painful suffering due to your involvement in such kind of things

[15] when you pass on with your tongues and uttered with your mouths accusations about which you have no proof. You take such a serious thing so lightly while it is a very serious offence in the light of Allah’s constitution.

[16] When you hear false accusations against each other why do you not say, it is not fitting for us as workers for peace to take part in such things, God forbid, it is such a destructive thing to do?

[17] Allah admonishes you never to turn to such things if you are really committed to working for peace.

[18] Allah makes His revelations clear for you because Allah is All-Knowing and All-Wise.

[19] Those who love to broadcast such slanders among those who are committed to working for peace will end up in painful suffering in this life as well as in the Hereafter. Allah makes evident the consequences yet you do not bother to know.

[20] Were it not for the revelation as mercy of Allah for you, you could have destroyed yourselves through such things soAllah is indeed very Kind and Merciful for mankind.

[21] O you who claim to be committed to working for peace, follow not the goals of the one with destructive mindset and harmful attitude towards mankind because anyone who follows the goals of any such person should know that he will only influence one towards committing harmful acts against others that will bring destruction upon humanity from which Allah stops you. If there had not been the revelation as mercy of Allah for you then none of you would have ever been freed from harming and destroying others, for it is constitution of Allah for the good of mankind whereby Allah frees people from harming and destroying each other through following of His program, for Allah is All-Hearing and all knowing.

[22] So let not those among you who are graced with prosperity and greater means ever decide to withhold their help from those who depend on their help, be they indigent or those who left their homes for establishing the road map of Allah for sake of better relations and mutual cooperation for bringing about a better society, do you not wish that Allah dignifies you with prosperity through mutual cooperation? For Allah is gracious and merciful.

[23] Those who try to take advantage of properly functioning administrations through their blind-spots and loopholes are distancing themselves from revelation of Allah therefore His grace in this life and in the Hereafter, they are bound to end up in hell of their own making unless they repent and reform.

[24] Such people should know that there comes a time when people’s own tongues and their own hands andtheir own feet expose them through results of their own actions against Our constitution, for people act on their intentions and motive thus end up exposing themselves.

[25] The time is coming when Allah will make such people face the consequences they deserve then they will realise that Allah surely makes evident the truth about all affairs of human concern.

[26] Harmful and destructive administrations or communities result from harmful and destructive actions of administrators or individuals and harmful and destructive administrators or individuals are result of actions of harmful and destructive administrations or communities, and beneficial administrations or communities result as a consequence of the actions of beneficial administrators or individuals and beneficial administrators or individuals result from actions of beneficial administrations or communities, so it is clear that those who are free from intentions and motivations for harming and destroying others any allegations of corruption against them cannot prove true because their character and conduct is obvious to the community whether they benefitted others or harmed them. It is such like people for whom is dignified provision according to constitution of Allah.

[27] O you who claim to be committed to working for peace, do not enter departments of administrations - other than departments under jurisdiction or responsibility of your own - without seeking permission from the appropriate authorised personnel of the department of administration assuring the administration in there that you came to carry out your business in peace having no intention of acting corruptly or causing trouble, following this procedure is better for you sothat you could prosper.

[28] If you do not find the appropriate personnel to gain access then do not enter until you find the authorised person and gain permission and even if you do find the person yet if you are requested to return at another time then come back at another time you are told. This is more fitting for you and Allah makes evident by its result all that you do.

[29] There is no prohibition for you the administration to take under your control any derelict land or property that is not used by anybody to make good use of it for the good of the community and remember that Allah makes obvious all that you do in the public view and all that you do in private through result of your actions.

[30] Say to the administrators or individuals who are responsible for border security, to keep their observations appropriate to ensure the exits and entries under their responsibilities are well guarded. That is a good safety measure for them as a community against uninvited harmful elements. Surely Allah is well aware of their motives, plots and actions.

[31] Likewise say to the administrations or communities working with them for ensuring security including border security to keep their eyes open to ensure their border exists and entries as well as any other possible security breaches are well guarded and they should not expose to danger their confidential information that ensures their well being except what needs to be displayed of it to show alertness but they should keep under cover their confidential information and main assets and should not expose them to any other save their own authorised personnel like their own superior administrators or even their superior administrators or their subordinate administrators, or even their subordinate administrators, or their supporting administrators and their subordinate administrators, or their supporting administrations and their subordinate administrators or their communities or their subordinate administrations that work under them or their standby personnel that are not kept as backup in case of need or the personnel under training who are not yet ready to take on full responsibilities of their communities. Moreover they should not recruit foot guards such people who may give away the secret information that they are supposed to guard. So turn to Allah’s constitution all of you O you who claim to be committed to working for peace so that you may attain prosperity.

[32] Moreover get the individuals from among you both men and women who can do a lot of good to join the administration to serve the community. If they lack in anything program of Allah will help them improve themselves and be able to fulfil requirements. for administration of Allah should bring about plenty of resources, which Allah will make evident in due course.

[33] And let those who do not yet qualify for entering the contract for administration to serve community due to lack of age or knowledge keep themselves working hard till Allah enables them with qualifications out of His bounty. As for those of your servants in your administrations who wish to free themselves from administrative responsibilities they should hand in their resignations appropriately and you should accept their resignations if you deem it appropriate and also give them appropriate gift out of the community wealth which Allah has given under your management. Do not force any of the communities or administrative work forces under you into poverty that they are forced to do things against divine constitution which they rather not do, for your own worldly gains against the set rules, and if any individual or community forces them into conduct against constitution then surely after such a compulsion Allah will still gracefully show them the way to free themselves from such conduct, for Allah is merciful for mankind.

[34] Moreover We have already revealed to you clear goals and cited examples of those people who passed away before you to serve as a lesson for those who want to be consistent with Allah and humanity.

[35] The constitution of Allah is the guiding torch for all the people in the high places as well as the people sunk in to the earth. The example of His torch for peace is like that of a Niche in which there is a lamp that is enclosed in a crystal globe and the globe radiates brilliance like that of a guiding star visible for all to see from everywhere, which is fuelled by plenty of olive tree that isneither from the East nor from the West, it is all set ready to light up as soon as ignited as if to add light of knowledge to the knowledge of already knowledgeable person, thusAllah guides to His light of knowledge whoever wants to be guided. This is how Allah explains with examples Hismessage clearly for the people to make obvious to them that Allah knows about all thing.

[36] His constitution for peace should be installed in the houses for administrations which Allah recommends people to built for carrying out His set tasks in His name wherein people strive hard day and night,

[37] such people whom nothing should prevent from carrying out their daily tasks for their own families nor tasks for the benefit of the public according to the constitution of Allah, that is how they should establish divine order in order to achieve freedom for the community from all harms and destructions, keeping in forefront of their minds always the consequences that will ensue in time to come if they failed in carrying out their public and private duties faithfully.

[38] Allah will surely reward them according to the their good works for others and add for them even more out of His grace, for Allah gives plenty to whoever wants it through his hard work.

[39] As for the opposers of Our guidance, the results for their works are like a mirage in a sandy desert, which the thirsty traveller thinks to be water but when he gets near, he finds it to be nothing, that is how he finds Allah settling his account, for Allah rewards people according to their works that if you do nothing fruitful you end up with nothing fruitful.

[40] Or the example of a people living outside the light of Our constitution is that of a person in the darkness of the ocean overwhelmed with wave after wave over him like mountains- covering one like layers of utter darkness one above another so much so that if onestretches out one’s hand, one will hardly see it. Likewise the one whom Allah does not see coming to His light of guidance and use his mind to see it, will have no light.

[41] Do you not see that it is for manifestation of Allah’s sovereignty that whatever is in the heavens and in the earth strives? The very birds manifest His laws at work as they flap their wings in their flight. Each of them makes evident His order and His laws, that is how Allah makes obvious all that they do.

[42] To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth therefore it is ultimately up to Allah to set their goal.

[43] Do you not see that because it up to Allah set goals for all things even the clouds move slowly according to His program to fulfil it, which thus causes them to come together then piles up in masses and so you see the rain dropping from inside them? He likewise causes hails from the clouds that look like mountains in the sky, afflicting therewith whoever makes oneself deserving it and turning it away from whoever makes not oneself deserving it. The flash of its lightning almost takes away the sight.

[44] Allah alternates the night and the day by rotation of the earth around itself; there is indeed a lesson in it for those who have the insight.

[45] Allah has originated all life forms from water and of them some creepupon their bellies and others that walk on two legs and yet others that walk on four. Allah creates what He planned, surely Allah has setup laws to operate everything.

[46] Likewise laws in universe We have revealed clear goals for mankind as well whereby Allah guides to the way of peace that is firmly founded on terms for peace.

[47] Even though people say, we are committed to working for peace along with the messenger according to the constitution yet no sooner they utter these words that some of them turn their backs when it comes to following it through in deeds. That is how they show they are not committed to working for peace.

[48] When such people are summoned according to constitution of Allah by court of His Messenger that he may resolve any disputes between them according to divine constitution, behold! A party of them declines to come unless arrested and brought before the court.

[49] However if they are sure that legal right is on their side then they come to him voluntarily.

[50] Is there a legitimate concern in their minds or are they worried Allah and His Messenger will deny them justice? Nay! In fact they are the ones who are the transgressors.

[51] The response of those who are truly committed to working for peace when they are summoned according to Allah’s constitution by His messenger so that he may judge between them should be to say, we hear and we obey. Such are the ones who will attain and maintain prosperity.

[52] It is because only those who are consistent with program of Allah along with His messenger are mindful of Allah for the good of others, that is why they are bound to succeed and prosper.

[53] Some swear by Allah that if you command them, they will go forth leavingtheir homes. Say, you do not need to swear to assure me, your consistency to your commitment will count only by doing not your empty word under oaths, rest assured Allah will make evident for all to see all that you will do.

[54] Say, be consistent with program of Allah by being consistent with the messenger but even If you do not, the messenger is still under obligation to fulfil his duty, as you are under obligation to fulfil yours so if you do what his assignment is for you then you have followed the right course of actions. The mission of the messenger is only to deliver the message clearly.

[55] But it is Allah who has promised those of you who have committed to working for peace by way of removing the obstacles in the way of peace to pave the way for peace that He will surely make them inherent the land as a community for the good of humanity as He made their ancestors inherit the land before them through their hard work and that He will establish for them their progressive and prosperous way of peaceful life, the one which He has advised them to create for themselves, that is how He will change their present state of fear into peace and security. So let them therefore serve My constitution alone and take no other sovereign beside Me. Moreover if any individual or community opposes My constitution henceforth then it that person or community shall be treated as rebel and transgressor.

[56] So establish divine constitution to attain freedom from all harm as a community thus be consistent with the messenger so that you could be shown progress and prosperity.

[57] Never think that those who oppose Our constitution can totally derail Our program in the land, for their end is assured painful suffering unless they repent and reform, and that is a terrible state of existence to be in.

[58] O you who claim to be committed to working for peace, let the people who wish to serve you as your new administration as well as those who have not yet completed their term seek your consent before leaving and commencing their work on three occasions, before the start of new term, in middle of the term for whatever reasons and when the contract expires at the end of the term. These are the three times when you the community are most vulnerable so take extra care. At other times there should be no obstacle for you when you the public and they the administration go around seeing one another for business as usual. Thus Allah makes Hisguidelines clear for you, for Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

[59] And when your administrations reach their end of term let them still ask your permission as their predecessor did to continue or leave the office. Thus Allah makes His guidelines clear for you, for Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

[60] There is no obstacle in the way of such administrations that have no interest in renewing their contract for another term, if they lay aside their cloaks of responsibility without exposing the valuable confidential information, for it is better for them if they refrain from doing so and Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

[61] There should be left no obstacles in the way of a person lacking in knowledge nor in the way of a person lacking experience or in the way a person physically incapacitated preventing one from participation in your community or administration. Nor should there be any problem for you to participate in your directly related ancestral organisations or directly related main organisations or closely related groups or closely related parties, or your indirectly related ancestral groups, or your indirectly related ancestral parties, or your closely related remote groups, or your closely related remote parties, or your sincere friendly organisations, or any other administration or community or party which is open for you. There is no obstacle in your way whether you participate as individuals or as communities, groups, parties or organisations but that when you enter into any task with others, you should assure each other that you are working to ensure their peace and prosperity. Thus Allah makes His goals clear to you, so that you may grow in understanding and community.

[62] Surely the truly committed to working for peace are those who commit to working for peace for Allah along His messenger and who when they are gathered around him concerning any matter requiring collective action do not depart until they have been given his permission or unless they seek his permission - only those who ask your permission are the ones truly committed to working for peace for mission of Allah along His messenger - so when any of them asks your permission to leave and attend to theirs private business, you may give permission to those of them whom you deem appropriate but keep working on program of Allah seeking their progress and prosperity.

[63] Do not treat such summoning of the messenger in the same way as you consider the calling of each other among yourselves. Allah knows those of you who slip away hiding themselves behind others. Let those who disregard his such summonings beware that if they do not come to realise their importance for the society the society could end up in troubles.

[64] Be aware! Whatever is in the heavens and in the earth belongs to Allah. He makes evident by their results all your thoughts and actions. So the time is coming when those living outside constitution of Allah will be brought by each others to live by His constitution alone and that is how He will show them all that they would have done. That is how Allah will make evident that He knows everything.

Following are some SHIRKIA believes of Sufis, Could somebody comment, does these believe come under the definition of SHIRK?

I insisted, upon which the cloak was lifted. (Quote of father and son, Shah Abdur Raheem & Shah Waliullah, Anfasul Arifain pg 94)

Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani claimed: Allah has made me Eternal and has joined me with Him. He has given in my hand this world and the Hereafter and all Creation. (Jeelani, Malfoozat Fuyuz Yazdani, Fath-e-Rabb-ani, Majlis 51)

Prophet David and Prophet Muhammad pbuh both sinned because they saw the beauty of unclothed women. Then Uriahs wife and Zaids wife became Haram (forbidden) for their husbands. (Ali Hajweri, alias Daata Ganj Baksh, the Giver of Treasures, Kalamil Marghoob pg 349)

Junaid Baghdadi said that Prophet Solomon was the illegitimate son of David from Uriahs wife. Sheik Seereen wrote that Surah Ahzab of the Quran means to say that Muhammad (pbuh) was hiding the carnal love of Zainab (the wife of Zaid), in his heart. (Malfoozal Al-Asl pg 219)

A wife of the Prophet (pbuh) saw a male sparrow mounting the female sparrow. She challenged the Prophet. When the night set in, the Prophet mounted her in a most furious manner 90 times and said, See! There is no deficiency here.
(Shamsuddin Akhlaqi, Manaqib-il-Arifain pg 70-71). We

Ba-Yazeed Bustami, supposedly the head of all saints, is quoted in his Malfoozat, the book of narratives:

- I am Glorious, the Ultimate, the Pure. My Glory is beyond description. (Nauzibilla)
- My Kingdom is greater than the Kingdom of God. (Nauzibilla)
- Allah is in my pocket. (Nauzibilla)
- My flag flies higher than the flag of Muhammad (pbuh). (Nauzibilla)
- I dived into the sea of Knowledge while the Prophets watched by the shore.

Ref: Ali Hajweri, Daata Ganj Bakhsh, in his Kashfil Mahjoob, pg 255-256 supports Ba-Yazeed Bustami's claim that he was God in human form.

Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Ajmeri taught his disciples a different Kalema (Creed) There is no god but Allah and Chishti is His Messenger.
(Khwaja Fareed-ud-Din Ganj Shakar, Fawaed-us-Saalikeen pg 126-127)

Now, what message is Sheikh Afeef-ud-Din Talmisani trying to convey when he says:
The Quran is loaded with Shirk (idolatry, polytheism). True
Monotheism is that everything in the universe is God.
(Malfoozat Talmisani pg 205)

It was right for the Pharaoh to say, I am God. He, of course, was a part of the Essence of God. (Malfoozat Talmisani pg 205)

Ibraheem Adham reached the Kabah in 14 years because he prayed two nawafil (units of physical prayer) at every step. But the Kabah was not there! A voice came from the heavens, "It has gone to visit Rabia Basri. (Malfoozat Khwaja Uthman Harooni, Aneesul Arwah pg 17).

Ba-Yazid Bustami could take the soul of any person whenever he wanted. My uncle Abu Raza Muhammad, upon hearing this became very upset and said, Ba-Yazid could not return the soul and restore life. I can take a soul and return it as I want. Then my uncle took the soul of Rahmatullah Kafshdoze and brought him back to life. (Shah Waliullah, Anfasul Afrifain pg 95)

It is obligatory upon a mumin (believer) that he quits eating and drinking. He must get weak to the point where he becomes unable to pray. (Sahl bin
Abdullah Tastari, Malfoozat Arabi pg 289)

Hazrat Sharaani was the Sheikh of miracles. He resided in a meadow and used to visit the town riding a wolf. He walked on water. His urine was drinkable like pure milk. (Allama Tareshis excerpts, Misra Tasawwuf pg 194).

Jalaluddin Rumi never prayed. When the time for prayers came he used to vanish. At last, it was discovered that he used to pray in the Kabah -2000
miles away from Quniah, five times a day.
(Khwaja Nizamuddin Awlia, Raahat-il-Quloob).

My uncle saw me create and destroy the universe. (Shah Waliullah, Afasul Arifain pg 210)

Once there was a Sheikh who used to grab a dog every day and put him on the prayer rug and said, O dog, you are in the hands of God! Those dogs then started walking on water and healed people by giving them Taweez (amulets). (Qutubuddin Bakhtiar Kaki, Malfoozat)

The dead body of a dervish was lying in a jungle laughing. I asked him, You are dead. How can you laugh? The dead body replied, This is what happens in the love of Allah. (Khwaja Ghareeb Nawaz, Moinuddin Chishti Ajmeri, Malfoozat)

The Universe lies within Koh Qaaf (the Mount Caucasus). This mountain is 40 times bigger than the earth. A cow is holding it on its head.(Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, Dalilul Arifain).

The people of Multan refused to provide fire to Shah Shams Tabrez for roasting meat. He became enraged, brought the sun down and roasted the meat. As people became restless with heat, they came to the saint and asked his forgiveness and then he ordered the sun to go back. Since that day, the town became known for its hot summers. (Ali Quli Baghdadi, Karamaat Shah Tabrez pg 233)

Ibraheem Adham was the governor of Balakh. While hunting, a deer turned back and scolded him. Since that day, Adham quit his throne and became a

When the companions went with the Prophet for Ghazwaat (battles), some of their wives had sex with other men. (Mullah Jalaluddin Rumi, Feeh-Ma-

Invocation towards the Deceased - فوت شدگان سے استمداد

Salam!

As obvious from the title of our latest topic, I turn my attention towards the ever raging, much-debated, highly controversial issue of 'Invocation towards the Deceased - فوت شدگان سے استمداد'. Everyone, my brothers and sisters, is entitled to his or her opinion and to express it is one's fundamental right. But often times, expression of one causes grief to others. In that sense, I hope none of my following comments or expression of my personal faith will result in sorrow for anyone. Nevertheless, realistically speaking, views presented hereunder are likely to arouse many religious emotions due to the delicacy of the issue at hand. Because many of us, approach religious affairs with great sensitivity and quite often these emotions stray out of control inasmuch as personal feeling, not intellect starts making choices our minds ought determine. So my message to respected readers is avoid getting hyper-sentimental with regards to what has been propounded hereunder whether you concord or discord my views, this is my personal opinion and I am entitled to proclaim it as long as I don't find it erroneous.

For those who agree with what is here-mentioned I'd request of them a dear favor: each person among you should take up as a religious duty to arrange at least ten (10) printouts for distribution and propagation among those who still reside in shades of darkness (Shirk); for by Allaahu'l-`Azeez; it is not their fault alone they have not yet seen the light: we brothers and sisters haven't done enough to share this light we received from Allaah, the Light of the Heavens and earth. And I sternly call upon you to treat with extra kindness a person who's inflicted with syndrome of associationism (Shirk); for a patient is treated with care, gentleness, and love, ne'er riddance, belittlement, or hate.

But natural, there will be dissenting views and there is nothing wrong with dissent as long as it is mannered, accurate, purposeful, and prosperous. Mannered in the sense that we ought be far more civilized than we have been in recent past when indulging in religious discussion, for too often we lose self-control and none but Satan ends up the victor. Accurate in terms of authenticity; keep any forthcoming responses principled and worthy (of response) and by not copying from other articles or web-sites dealing with the same or similar issues; for in such case, one is really being dishonest, in fact degrades his or her personal opinion and intellectual integrity, in-directly letting other minds control their views that ought be self-formed. Purposeful with respect to aim: who really are we trying to please with our discussions? Who's pleasure to we actually seek and who's religion (way) do we wish to adhere? Is our goal to satisfy Allaahu'l-`Azeez or self-ego? It's always better to define one's goals before embarking a journey. Prosperous in seeking rectification (islah) of fellow Muslims; too often we look to rectify mistake in others whilst forgetting our own shortcomings. In fact, aiming to guide others without having (first) disciplined our own selves is a feeble attempt to hide self-doubt; such attempts are never prosperous.

Kindly state your counter-argument (if there be any) in brief and avoid pasting entire threads except Qur'anic ayaat and ahadith so to make it easier for me to respond, otherwise I may not. Remember, my presentation will insha'Allaah be brief and simple, your's need be simpler and more intelligible to become acceptable, for an argument's simplicity is self-evidence for it's authenticity.

Hope this read will prove beneficial to you, ameen!

Salam!

Re: SUFI' SHIRKIA BELIEVES ----- Quotes from the Sufi books

Dear your above post is yet another repetition of so many others. There is nothing new in it. What you wish to
convey is:
a) Once a person professes to be Muslim, then he cannot be a Mushrik;
b) All verses in Quran about shirk are related to "THAT TIME OF MUSHRAYKEEN AND KAFREEN", AND not
for those who became Muslims, or for the latter generations who claim to be muslims.

25 MAKAH AL-FURQAN – THE CRITERION 42

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

[1] Full of grace is he Who has revealed to his messenger the criterion that sets apart the way of life that is right, so that he warns all the nations in the world;

[2]He is the One to Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and he is free frombegetting a son and having any partner in His kingdom; He has created everything and
ordered them in due proportions.

[3] Yet they have taken besides Him other gods which can create nothing but are themselves created, which can neither harm nor help even themselves, and which have no power over life or death, or over raising the dead to life.

[4] And those who deny and oppose our guidance say: The Quran is but a forgery which he has devised and some otherpeople have helped him do so. But the fact is harmful is what they do to each other and falsehood is what they utter!

[5] And they say: these are the stories of the ancients which he has copied down fromwhat is read to him day and night.

[6] Say: This Quranis revealed by Him Who knows the secrets of the heavens and the earth; surely He is full of grace and Mercy.

[7] And they say: What sort of Messenger is he who partakes in daily tasks like an ordinary man and walks through the streets like a common man? Why has no king been sent with this message to warn so that it is more effective? The fact is kings have been doing the opposite of what the message is all about just like these chiefs of their people.

[8] Why has he not been given a treasure or at least a garden from which he could eat? And these wicked people further say: You are only following a man who is insane.

[9] See what sort of nonsense objections they raise against you and the message! All this because they are lost in their self centred ambitions and desires and do not want to know the way out of their this state of affairs.

[10] Full of goodness is He who if it suited his purpose could give you much better things than what theypropose for you: not one but many gardens beneath which rivers flow; and make foryou palaces too.

[11] But in fact they deny the Hour - and for the one who denies the coming of the Hour, We have prepared a torturous agony.

[12] When it shall come into their sight, from a long distance, they will hear its raging and roaring.

[13] And when, chained together, they are flung into some narrow space, they will fervently plead for death.

[14] But they will be told: Do not plead for one death today, but plead for many deaths.

[15] Ask them: Which is better, this hell or the eternal paradise which the righteous are being promised, which will be the reward of their good deeds and also their final destination;

[16] wherein they will live forever and get everything that they wish for: and this is the promise worth praying for.

[17] On that Day, He will gather all these people together along with the deities whom they worshipped besides Allah, and ask: Were it you who misled these servants of Mine, or did they choose to go astray themselves?

[18] Those deities will answer: Glory be to You! It was not befitting for us that we could take any guardian besides You, but You let them and their forefathers enjoy the comforts of worldly life until they forgot the guidance, and thereby became worthless people.

[19] Thus your gods will deny all that you profess today. Then you shall neither be able to avert your punishment nor shall you get any help from anywhere; and everyone among you who is guilty of wrongdoing, We shall make him taste the mighty punishment.

[20] We have sent no Messenger before you, who did not partake in daily activities or walk through the streets. In fact, We test you by means of one another. Now, will you show patience, for your Lord is Ever Observant.

[21] Those who do not expect to meet Us say: Why are not the chiefs sent to us with this like messages or why does our lord not show us directly as to what he wants of us rather than sending us these common folks? Certainly they think very big of themselves, and they have revolted against our guidance in a big way.

[22] The time is coming when they will see our commanders in battle, it will not be a time of rejoicing for these criminals; rather they will cry: May there be a stone barrier between us and them.

[23] And We shall turn to their these deeds which they are doing against our guidance, and render them ineffective like blown dust.

[24] In contrast, the heirs of paradise shall be in better circumstances and in good situation.

[25] The time when the divine plan will become clear and confusion will disappear as our faithful soldiers burst before them for battles ranks after ranks,

[26] the Kingdom at that time will belong only to the soldiers of Compassionate (Allah), and it will be hard time for those who oppose our guidance.

[27] The time when the opposer of our guidance will bite his hands saying: Oh! Would that I had only taken the pathway alongside the Messenger!

[28] Oh! Would that I had never chosen so-and-so for my companion.

[29] He was the one who led me astray from the admonition even after it had reached me. The wicked leadership is ever treacherous to a common man.

[30] The Messenger will say: O my Lord! Surely my people took this Qur’an for foolish nonsense.

[31] That is how We made for every Messenger an enemy from among the criminals who oppose of our guidance, but your Lord is sufficient for you (O Muhammad) as a Guide and Helper.

[32] The opposers ask: Why is not the Qur’an revealed to him all in a single revelation? This method of slow, well arranged, piecemeal revelations is adopted to strengthen your heart.

[33] The other reason for this method is that any time they come to you with an argument against it, We reveal to you what is right and properly explain it.

[34] Those who will be dragged headlong into painful suffering shall have an evil state to be in, for they had lost the Way by taking an utterly wrong stand.

[35] We gave Moses the Book and appointed his brother Aaron as a deputy withhim,

[36] and said to them: Both of you should go to the people who have denied Our Revelations. But those people rejected Our Messengers, as a result We destroyed
them with utter destruction.

[37] Likewise, the people of Noah We drowned them in their troubles when they rejected the Messengers and made them an example for mankind; and We have prepared a painful punishment for such wrongdoers.

[38] The nations of ‘Ad and Thamud were also destroyed, and so were the dwellers of Ar-Rass, and many generations between them.

[39] We admonished each of them by citing examples of those who were destroyed before them, even then they rejected Our revelations, soWe exterminated each one of them.

[40] These unbelievers must have passed by that town which was destroyed by a fatal rain; had they not seen its ruins? But the fact of the matter is they do not believe in the life hereafter.

[41] Whenever they see you, they scoff at you, saying: Is this the man whom Allah has sent as a Messenger?

[42] Had we not stood firm, he (Muhammad) would have turned us away from our gods.
Very soon, when they face the suffering, they will realize who actually went off the Right Path.

[43] Have you ever seen the one who has taken his own desires as his god? Would you take the responsibility of guiding him?

[44] Or do you think that most of them listen or try to understand? They are nothing but animals with brains they do not use- nay, they are even further off the track!

[45] Have you not seen how your Lord gradually increases your influence? If it is His will He will make it keep on increasing constantly. Moreover we draw your attention to the sun as a demonstration of it;

[46] Likewise we set the pace for increase in your influence by way of easy gradations.

[47] And He is the One Who has made the night a mantle for you to sleep and rest, and made the day to rise up again to get on with daily life.

[48] He is the One Who sends the winds as heralds announcing His Mercy and sends down pure water from the heaven,

[49] so that with it We may give life to a dead land, and quench the thirst of countless animals and men that We have created.

[50] We distribute this water among them so that they may glorify Us, yet most people refuse to do anything except show ingratitude.

[51] Had it been Our Will, We could have sent a Warner to every town,

[52] therefore, do not yield to the opposers of our guidance, and fight against them with this Qur'an, a mighty campaign.

[53] He is the One Who has let free the two seas of water, one sweet and fresh and the other salty and bitter, and he set a barrier between them, an insurmountable barrier.

[54] He is the One Who has created man from water, then made for him blood relationships and that of marriage relationships, your Lord is indeed All-Powerful.

[55] Yet they worship those deities besides Allah which can neither benefit nor harm them, over and above this, the opposer of our guidance has become a helper of every rebel against his own Lord.

[56] But O Muhammad! We have sent you only to proclaim good news and to give warning.

[57] Say: I ask of you no recompense for this work except that he who wants, may take the Right Way to abide by to please his Lord.

[58] So put your trust in the Ever-Living (Allah) Who never dies: celebrate His glory, for He Alone is sufficient to be aware of the sins of His creatures.

[59] The One Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six time periods, and is firmly established on the Throne of authority; the Compassionate (Allah): as to His Glory, ask the one who knows.

[60] When it is said to them, humble yourselves before the Most Compassionate, they ask: Who is that Most Compassionate? Are we to submit just because you order us to? It merely increases their disdain.

[61] Blessed is the One Who has decked the sky with constellations and placed in it the sun like alamp and a shining moon.

[62] He is the One Who has caused the night and the day to succeed each other, for him who desires to learn a lesson or desires to render thanks.

[63] True servants of the Compassionate (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and when the ignorant people address them, they say: Peace;

[64] who pass the night prostrating before their Lord and standing in prayers;

[65] whosay: Our Lord! Ward off the punishment of hell from us, for its punishment is
atrocious

[66] - certainly it is an evil abode and an evil resting place;

[67] who, when they use what we have given them use it for the benefit of others and they do not use it to harm others and they do it in a balanced way without putting themselves into serious trouble.

[68] who do not invoke any other god besides Allah, nor kill any soul which Allah has made sacred, except for a just cause, nor commit fornication - he that does take other gods beside Allah and never reforms shall be punished for his sin,

[69] and his punishment shall be doubled on the Day of Resurrection and in disgrace he shall abide forever,

I think your starting to learn. The request in Ayat 3:8 is by men of understanding or Ulu as told in Ayat 3:7. The Ulu accept full Quran and dont make fake interprtation of allegorical verses. This Surah begins with verse Alif laam meem [3:1] which is an allegorical verse. Some people try to give their own interprtation but Allah knows the right interprtation as told in Ayat 3:7.

He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book: In it are verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book: others are allegorical. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is allegorical, seeking discord, and searching for its hidden meanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord:" and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding [3:7]

The dua in 3:8 is by Ulu when they become Ulu. On this stage they r confirming that they been guided and dont want to be mislead again. They have attained higher stage and become closer to Allah.

I think you r taking intercession wrongly because it is not every time that even a common man seek intercession. It is not like farz namaz. Nobody is telling that not to ask Allah directly. One prays five times a day and does dua directly isnt it.

U seem to be totally confused. Do not understand what question, just like a recorded tape, you start playing.
intoxicated in the concept of "intercession", your needle will stuck there whatever the topic will be. You do not
even know to use the word, what you mean by "Ulu"?
"Praying with Wasillah of anyone is Shirk", that was what I tried to put in into you.

Re: SUFI' SHIRKIA BELIEVES ----- Quotes from the Sufi books

Following are some SHIRKIA believes of Sufis, Could somebody comment, does these believe come under the definition of SHIRK?

There is nothing to answer in this post. The problem with you people is that you quote out of context things and then tell that it shirk and kufar. Some of the people like Ibn Arabi were from a diferent group of Sufis which mean was not a proper sufi. Mansur Hallaj had broken the rules and so he was punished by the Abbasi Khalifa at the advice and decision of another sufi Junaid Baghdadi itself. Mullah Abul Kalam Azad was not a Sufi but a ahle hadeeth and so on. Ahmed Raza Barilvi was head of barailvis so they can better answer. Ashraf Thanvi was deobandi so deobandis can better answer.

Some of the sentence are out of context and they have a different meaning than that on the outer surface. To understand the meanings you have to be in their company. I will tell you example of Jabir bin Hayyan who was a famous Muslim scientist and also sufi and he wrote in his books the formulas of chemistry in a different way. For burning metals to get proper result more he wrote that one should pray more to please Allah. This is the style of sufis and to understand them one has to read all their books or study under them.

If still any body tells any thing wrong then one must accept because sufis were not infallible. Not like najdi followers who tell that their Molvis r always right and others r wrong. Also peoples opinion keep changing as they grow and like Jinnah first he wanted same country but then 20 years later he wanted Pakistan. So if Jinnah wrote book 20 years ago then he tell he want to live in India but actually before dyeing he was head of Pakistan.

The sufis were regarded very high during their times and no one told any complains during that time because if any body didnt understand any thing they would ask and clarify. Only najdis have problem with sufis and this was only because they wanted to remove Ottoman Khilafat and every one know that Ottoman Khilafat was pro sufi. This way they trick the rest of Arab bedouins to rose and remove the governors of Makkah and Medina and Arabian peninsula. They used Islam for their greed and fooled simple and illiterate people. Just like today people fool poor people and make them suicide bombers in the name of Islam and tell them about 72 virgins waiting for them after bombing.

So I tell that this post is useless and not a new propoganda against sufis done only by najdis to mislead Muslims.

I know now people will start quoting out of context and tell one thing or another. If there is no wasila in one Quranic dua then it mean that wasila wrong. There is also no mention of word car so you stop using car. What illogic thing you tell. But still I quote from Quran. You read again.

In waseela Ayats the translation clearly shows that it is not forbidden.

O you who have believed, fear Allah and seek the means of approach [waseela] to Him and strive in His cause that you may succeed [5:35]

Where is it forbidden tell me in the above Ayat

Those whom they invoke seek means of approach [waseela] to their Lord, [striving as to] which of them would be nearest, and they hope for His mercy and fear His punishment. Indeed, the punishment of your Lord is ever feared [17:57]

Dont tell your own interprtations based on your limited knowledge. My arguments is supported further from Sahih Hadees which no najdi is even objecting. Tell me one Ayat which tells waseela is forbidden and dont tell me your man made interprtations. Be a proper Quranite if you want to discuss like Quranite.

Any man know meaning of intercession

Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great [2:255]

Notice the word "except" in the above mentioned verse. This verse does not condemn the presence of an intercessor; they just put a condition for the fact of intercession.

That Day, no intercession will benefit except one to whom the Most Merciful has given permission and has accepted his word [20:109]

And intercession does not benefit with Him except for one whom He permits. [And those wait] until, when terror is removed from their hearts, they will say [to one another], "What has your Lord said?" They will say, "The truth." And He is the Most High, the Grand [34:23]

And how many angels there are in the heavens whose intercession will not avail at all except after Allah has permitted to whom He wills and approves [53:26]

He knows what is before them, and what is behind them, and they cannot intercede except for him with whom He is pleased. And they stand in awe for fear of Him [21:28]

And those whom they invoke instead of Him have no power of intercession; except those who bear witness to the truth and they know [43:86]

And We did not send any messenger except to be obeyed by permission of Allah. And if, when they wronged themselves, they had come to you, [O Muhammad], and asked forgiveness of Allah and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah Accepting of repentance and Merciful [4:64]

I think it is now time, to take on your cowardice and pasting only verse without any context. I tolerated you
till my last limit, but you did not resist of pasting this verse again and again: Let us see the verse in context:

وَرَبُّكَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۗ وَلَقَدْ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَ النَّبِيِّينَ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ۖ وَآتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ زَبُورًا {55**

[Pickthal 17:55] And thy Lord is Best Aware of all who are in the heavens and the earth. And we preferred some of the prophets above others, and unto David We gave the Psalms.
[Yusufali 17:55] And it is your Lord that knoweth best all beings that are in the heavens and on earth: We did bestow on some prophets more (and other) gifts than on others: and We gave to David (the gift of) the Psalms.
[Shakir 17:56] Say: Call on those whom you assert besides Him, so they shall not control the removal of distress from you nor (its) transference.
[Pickthal 17:56] Say: Cry unto those (saints and angels) whom ye assume (to be gods) beside Him, yet they have no power to rid you of misfortune nor to change.
[Yusufali 17:56] Say: "Call on those - besides Him - whom ye fancy: they have neither the power to remove your troubles from you nor to change them."
[Shakir 17:57] Those whom they call upon, themselves seek the means of access to their Lord-- whoever of them is nearest-- and they hope for His mercy and fear His chastisement; surely the chastisement of your Lord is a thing to be cautious of.
[Pickthal 17:57] Those unto whom they cry seek the way of approach to their Lord, which of them shall be the nearest; they hope for His mercy and they fear His doom. Lo! the doom of thy Lord is to be shunned.
[Yusufali 17:57] Those whom they call upon do desire (for themselves) means of access to their Lord, - even those who are nearest: they hope for His Mercy and fear His Wrath: for the Wrath of thy Lord is something to take heed of.

You should and must understand who are the people involved in this verse. These verses refute all those people, like you claim
that "God Fearing (Pious people) are Waseelaa". This verse is clearly talking about those pious people to whom other people
like you wish to make Wasillah: They(pious people) have been declared helpless, they have no power to remove your
or solve your problems. Rather they are themselves dependent upon, (Which you call as Wasillah), and which is
a way of approach, that how they can gain Qurb of Allah. And now you without any sense, should and must
search from Quran how the Qurb of Allah can be achieved, definitely it is not through invoking the Pious people
as you are saying. If still you cannot understand, then you are intoxicated in So-called Wasillah.

Try to understand in the same Verse, the Wasillah is defined that "strive in His cause", only "good deeds" are
Waseela, not the Persons as you are implying. Check in Quran how "Qurbay Illahi" is achieved, definitely it is
not through Wasilla of your made-up.

a) Good deeds; like spending of wealth in the cause of Allah;
b) Strive for cause of Allah;
What is your defintion, please prove that these are people, Good people, peer, fakir, aulia, walee, kutab, prove it now from Quran.
