What Qur'aan says about SHIRK

So it is very clear what shirk means therefore calling muslims mushrik because of their certain wrong actions is wrong. They could be senseless or at most haraam neither kufar nor even shirk.
In 12:106, Allah says that majority of those who consider themselves believers are in fact, MUSHRIKEEN.
012:106 And most of them believe not in Allah without doing SHIRK!

And most of them believe not in Allah without associating (other as partners) with Him!(Qur’aan 12:106)
The following forms of Shirk have been given in the Quran

1. Taking human beings from among ourselves as Lords or Patrons besides Allah

3:64 Say, “O People of the Book! Let us come to a mutual agreement, that we shall worship and obey none but God. That neither shall we ascribe divinity to anyone beside Him, nor shall we take human beings from among ourselves as our lords beside God.” And if they turn away, then say, “Bear witness that it is we who have surrendered ourselves unto Him.”

2. Taking angels or Prophets as Lords or Patrons besides Allah
3:80 Nor would he instruct you to take the angels and the Prophets for lords and patrons. Would he command you to disbelieve after you have surrendered to Allah?

3. Taking Ahbaar and Rahbaan (religious authorities) as Lords and Patrons besides Allah

9:31 They take their rabbis, priests and monks or ascetics to be their Lords* besides Allah. And they take as their Lord, the Messiah son of Mary. Yet they were commanded to worship but One God. There is no god but He. Praise and Glory to Him, He is far too Glorious for what they ascribe to Him. (*Talmud shows the Jewish superstition of ascribing divinity to Ezra, rabbis, saints, doctors of law and learned men. And the doctrine of Papal infallibility, divinity of saints and praying to them are common in the Roman Catholic Church).

9:34 O You who have chosen to be graced with belief! A great many religious leaders, rabbis, priests, monks, mullahs, yogis, and mystics devour the wealth of mankind in falsehood, and debar them from the Path of Allah. All those who hoard up gold and silver and spend it not in the Cause of Allah, to them give tidings (O Prophet) of a painful doom.

12:39 “O My prison mates! Are several Lords differing among themselves better, or Allah, the One, the Insuperable?”

4. Worshipping, obeying and adoring [IBADAT of] anything besides Allah

4:36 Obey, adore and worship Allah and associate no partner with Him…

18:110 Say (O Prophet), "I am but a mortal man like all of you. It is revealed to me that your God is the One and Only God. Hence, whoever looks forward to meeting His Sustainer, let him do works that help others, and let him admit no one as partner in the service [Ibadat] of his Sustainer. ”

24:55 Allah has promised that those of you peoples who will believe in the Divine Laws and strengthen human resources, He will surely make them rulers in the earth - Just as He granted rule to the previous nations (28:6), (33:27). He will surely establish for them the System of life that He has approved for them, and will replace their fear with peace and security. All this because they serve Me alone. They ascribe no partner to Me. But all who, after this, deny these Laws will drift out (of the community of living nations. The ‘belief’ in this verse does not pertain to any dogmas and tenets, but to the realization that the entire Universe is operating under the unchangeable Physical Laws of One Supreme Authority, thus providing the basis for all Science and Technology).

5. Taking Masters [Wali] other than Allah

6:14 Say, “Shall I take for my master [Wali] other than Allah Who is the Initiator of the heavens and the earth? And He provides all without return. Feeds but is not fed.” Say, “ I have been commanded to be the foremost among those who surrender to Him and ascribe not divinity besides Him.”

6. Taking ILAH other than Allah

6:19 Say (O Messenger), "What could be the greatest witness?” Say, “Allah is Witness between me and you. This Qur’an has been revealed to me so that I may warn you as well as whomever it reaches. Do you bear witness that there are other deities besides Allah?” Say, “I bear no such witness.” Say, “He is the One God [ILAH]. I disown what you associate with Him.”

7. Taking Jinns as partners of Allah

6:100 Yet, there are people who think falsely that there are invisible creatures, Jinns, with occult powers that share the Divine Attributes. But He has created them, and people assign sons and daughters to Him out of sheer ignorance. Glorified, Exalted is He, infinitely Above what they ascribe to Him.

8. Obeying devil-inspired people

6:121 Eat not anything (not just meat) unless the Name of Allah has been pronounced first, for that will mean drifting away from Commands. The rebellious or devils [among people] inspire their companions to dispute with you. If you people obey them, you will be associating others with Allah.

9. Calling upon others [graves, mystics, saints, idols, etc.] besides Allah for help

7:189 (The Message encompasses life in its totality.) Recall that Allah created life from a single life cell, then made male and female cells, and then shaped you into human beings, males and females. He designed it such that man might incline with love towards the woman. When he gets intimate with her, she carries a light load that she can hardly notice. As she grows heavy with the child, they both implore Allah, their Lord, “If you indeed grant us a healthy baby, we shall certainly be among the grateful.”

7:190 But as soon as He grants them a sound baby, they begin to ascribe to other powers beside Him a share in bringing about what He has granted them. Exalted is He, High Above all that they associate with Him.

7:191 Do they ascribe to Him as partners things that can create nothing, but are themselves created?

7:192 And they cannot help them, nor can they help themselves.

7:193 When you invite them to the Guidance, they follow you not. It is the same for you whether you invite them or remain silent.

7:194 Those whom you call upon besides Allah, [such as mystics and saints], are people like you. Go ahead and call upon them, let them respond by helping you if you are true in your belief.

7:195 Do the idols have feet to walk, hands to hold, eyes to see and ears to hear? (Likewise, these human demigods have no foundation of Truth to stand on, nor the power to avert Requital, nor the faculties of confronting Reason). Tell the opponents of the Message, "Call upon your idols and your so-called partners of Allah, contrive what you can, and give me no respite.

7:196 My Protecting Friend [Wali] is Allah Who has revealed this Book, and He befriends the righteous.”

7:197 Whomever you call instead of Him, have no power to help you, nor can they help themselves.

7:198 Such people are lost in their reverence of false deities. When you invite them to Guidance, they hear without listening and you see them looking at you, but they see not.

28:87 And let them not divert you from Allah's Revelations after they have been sent down unto you. But, invite people to your Lord and be not among Mushrikeen.

28:88 (Keeping pristine the Divinely ordained System of Life) call not upon [human ‘authorities’ and man-made systems as] gods side by side with Allah. There is no god but He. Everything is mortal except His Eternal Self. To Him belong all Governance and all Judgment, and unto Him you shall be returned.

34:22 Say, “Call upon those whom you imagine beside Allah! They have not an atom’s weight of power either in the heavens or in the earth, nor have they any share in either, nor does He need any of them as a helper.”

10. To ascribe Allah’s partners in His Kingship or dominion [maalikiyyat]

17:111 And say, "All Praise is due to Allah Who begets not an offspring, and has no partner in His Dominion, and has absolutely no weakness, hence no need of any aid." And so, extol His limitless Greatness.
25:2 (The Sender of this Criterion is) He to Whom belongs the Kingship of the heavens and the earth. He has chosen no son, nor does He have a partner in His Kingship. He it is Who creates all things in precise design and gives them the potential to become what they are meant to be.

11. To ascribe Allah’s partners in His Command or Rule [Hukm]

18:26 Say, “Allah knows best how long they remained there.” His alone is the knowledge of the hidden reality of the heavens and the earth. How well does He see and hear! They have no guardian apart from Him and He shares His Command or Rule with none whosoever

12. To ascribe Allah’s partners in His Lordship [Raboobiyyat]

18:38 “As for me, God is my Lord and I will never associate any other god besides my Lord.”

18:42 And thus it happened. One day, the arrogant man’s fruitful gardens were indeed wiped out. And there he was, twisting and turning his hands in sorrow. He lost his property which was now tumbled to pieces in complete ruin. And he could only say, "Oh, I wish I never worshiped anyone (even my property) instead of my Lord!”

72:2 “It shows the way to Enlightenment, so we have come to believe in it. And we shall never again ascribe a partner unto our Lord.”

72:20 Say, "I call unto my Lord alone and associate no one with Him (I heed no one against His Laws)."

13. To be divided into sects

30:31 Turn unto Him alone then, and be mindful of Him, and establish the Divine System and be not of the MUSHRIKEEN who ascribe authorities along with Him. (2:213).

30:32 The MUSHRIKEEN who split up their religion, and become sects - each sect delighting in whatever beliefs they have. ((3:104), (6:160), (23:53), (42:13). Sectarianism is invariably based upon taking humans as ‘authorities’).

14. Failing to establish the Just Economic System of Zakat

41:6 (O Prophet) say to them, "I am only a human being like you. It has been revealed to me that your God is One God. Therefore, march along the Straight Road to Him and seek the protection of His forgiveness. And (know that) there is nothing in store but loss for them who associate ‘partners’ with Him." (‘Wayl’ = Woe = Ultimate loss).

41:7 Those who (because of submitting to man-made systems) fail to set up the Just Economic Order of Zakat and thus practically deny (the accountability in) the life to come. (And the long-term prosperity and viability of their societies).

For Allah sake this is not Islam

In case of religious activities Muslim Should restrict to the Quraan and Authentic Hadeeth. Avoid SHIRK because there is no forgiveness from Allah for this sin. Avoid any innovation into religion because it would distract Muslims from the "Straight Path".

THIS IS WHAT HAPPEN WHEN MUSLIM DO NOT TAKE SHIRK AND BIDDAT SERIOUSLY:

If any non-Muslim watches these distracted people of certain sects would they even think of coming closer to Islam?

Result of not Sticking to Qur'aan and Sunnah

Another headline news in western news paper. What message we are giving to non-Muslim world by leaving Quraan and Sunnah. Does any of these ritual were approved by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)? No, not at all . But how would you explain to the non-Muslim world that these activities are done by minor Muslim sects. But again the question is, why would a non-Muslim bother to go into the detail of Muslim sects?

WARNING: Graphic images. Shi'ite muslims commemorated Ashura by beating themselves with steel-tipped flails or slashing themselves to mark the anniversary of the Prophet Mohammed's grandson Imam Hussein's death.

@Pakistani1947,
Thanks, In fact I also arranged all these verses and depending upon them, I framed the definition of Shirk
contained in my previous post. I am really surprised by Mughal1 post, and cannot understand his logic
of defining Shirk. For him the Shirk is only:

a) If the worshipers take their deity as with the qualities of Surah Ikhlas and are well conscious of this fact
in their hearts and minds. Which means that until and unless these conditions are not met whatever people
do or doing is not Shirk but an unlawful act;. He further contends that this has been explained in Surah
Kafroon.

b) He is altogether oblivious or wishes to remain so intentionally about all other verses which you have mentioned.
The question is then what was the need to frame all these verses to define "Donnallah", only two verses
one Surah Ikhlas and other Surah Kafroon would have been enough.

c) People like him are very sensitive about defining the Shirk, because once it is, as is in your quoted
verses, then the ramifications are immense, many heads will roll,

d) In Surah Tuba, it is stated that it is not for Mushraykeen to Tend the Masajids..........Now a person
who is the worshiper of Statue (Disbelievers) as we say, has no need to go to mosques. He does
not care if it is Masjid or not, so logically the Verse is about Mushraykeen who are believers-cum-Mushrik.

e) I intentionally asked him to quote the verses where those who worshiped Essa(as) are called Kafreen
to prove that it was in human nature to worship the Prophets and Prophets are included in the long
list of "Mindoonallah"
Thanks again for pasting the relevant verses. so no need for me to paste them again.

@Mughal1 ,
The clear-cut verses have been pasted from Quran which make the list quite long of those
who are included in "Mindoonallah". These are not mine made but from Quran, whereas your
definition depends upon "conjectuer", so our positions are far apart to be formed into
a consenus. As Quran says lakum deenukum wa lieya deen".
Handel: it is just a word. Nothing special. I am not that old or that what you have
encroached upon.
Wahabism: I am not their representative neither of Talibaan. and these all things were irrelevant in the post.
All the best.

Thank very much dear pakistani bhai for the verses you have quoted from the quran.

As for 12/106, here is my point for you to ponder. Please tell me who is being told this information and to whom is this addressed and who is the information about and what it says?

Allah is talking to his messenger ie allah is first person the speaker. The prophet is the 2nd person ie the addressed and the information is about 3rd party and that party is such people who claim to believe in allah but also in other gods as well.

Watch the verse in context ie how the subject starts and ends. It is very clear that target of the message are polytheists of makkah not the muslims of makkah.

012_105.gif
105. Wakaayyin min ayatin fee alssamawati waal-ardi yamurroona AAalayha wahum AAanha muAAridoona
105. And how many Signs
In the heavens and the earth
Do they pass by? Yet they
Turn (their faces) away from them!
012_106.gif
106. Wama yu/minu aktharuhum biAllahi illa wahum mushrikoona
106. And most of them
Believe not in God
Without associating (others
As partners) with Him!

107. Afaaminoo an ta/tiyahum ghashiyatun min AAathabi Allahi aw ta/tiyahumu alssaAAatu baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona
107. Do they then feel secure
From the coming against them
Of the covering veil
Of the wrath of God,
Or of the coming against them
Of the (final) Hour
All of a sudden
While they perceive not?

108. Qul hathihi sabeelee adAAoo ila Allahi AAala baseeratin ana wamani ittabaAAanee wasubhana Allahi wama ana mina almushrikeena

I do invite unto God,
On evidence clear as

I and whoever follows me.
Glory to God! and never
Will I join gods with God!"

109. Wama arsalna min qablika illa rijalan noohee ilayhim min ahli alqura afalam yaseeroo fee al-ardi fayanthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablihim waladaru al-akhirati khayrun lillatheena ittaqaw afala taAAqiloona
109. Nor did We send before thee
(As apostles) any but men,
Whom We did inspire,—
(Men) living in human habitations.
Do they not travel
Through the earth, and see
What was the end
Of those before them?
But the home of the Hereafter
Is best, for those who do right.
Will ye not then understand?

Can I ask if you are confused about definiton of towheed and shirk? I can explain to help remove the confusion.

Please read my posts in this and other threads and you wil come to realise that my definition of towheed and shirk is solid because it is not mine but of huge majority of muslims. You defintion is confusing because it was invented centuiries later.

I am interested in the solution of this problem for good because it is causing unnecessary division betwwn muslims. I very strongly disagree with this nonsensical definition but at the same time agree with you that some stupid things are done by some people in the name of islam. These things are as problematic for you as for me and many other muslims regardless of any sectarian divide. The solution is not to call each and everything shirk and biddat but to get the bull by the horn. That is when you see haraam kari call it haraam kari not shirk and kufar unless one openly claims divinity for anyone other than allah or one openly rejects a fundamental belief of islam.

This way we can all work together and also can take people to task with unity between us.

I am very much against wahabi definition of shirk because it is against the quran and sunnah and common sense. This is why when these people started out and caused so much blood shed they were condemned by whole of ulema in the ummah.

Towheed and shirk definition is fundamental islam and is difference between monotheism and polytheism this is why none is allowed to temper with it or such person will always be condemned for his stupidity by almost whole of the ummah.

This is reading of the quran by ignorant and stupid people who ignore all rules and regulations and commonly accepted ways of understanding things.

The quran was sent by allah to turn polytheists in to monotheists and not the other way round. This is why the targetted people for verses regarding polytheism are mosly polytheists not muslims who hav eaccepted the idea of one god.

If you keep telling me that you believe in one god then how can I claim that you are a mushrik just becauae you do some thing similar to mushriks? I ust accpt you muslim and look for another explanation for your actions similar to polytheists. Because polytheists eat apples and I catch you eating apples does not give me the right to condemn you as polytheist. The only thing that gives me right to condemn you as a polytheist is if you tell me, I am now beliving in polytheism ie more than one god.

Whereever the quran says other than allah, it automatically means like allah ie a god and not just anything. THis is why whether you call on dead or alive makes no difference on its own but only what you believe and your intention or motivation or purpose. These things no one can know unless the person himself so expresses them in clear terms eg in words. Let say I am eating an apple, can you be sure why I am eating it? Of course not. You can only guess the possibilities not the exact reason unless I tell you by words are strong clues that leave no doubt in your head.

By condemning anyone for similarity in the actions one is actually trying to be like god if you like because only god knows true intenstion and motivations of people behind their actions.

As I already explained in my posts, the quran depends on language and its rules for its understanding and the people for whome the message was sent originally and the common ground that the quran uses for its argument against those people. If you leave these behind and try to understand the quran independent of these then merely by reading verses you could end up in the opposite direction than that which was intended by allah. The prophet was not like a postman who gives you the letter and leaves. The prophet had to fight it out in varius ways to get conviction of polytheists for monotheism. It was not at all easy for him to get what he wanted of the people. Likewise we too must learn the quran using same ideas and rules as rightly guided people before us.

Mere similarity of words and actions never meant shirk in the sense of divide between polytheism and monotheism ie multi gods and one god. This is why calling anyone rab, raheem , kareem, samee, baseer, wali, etc etc is not shirk=polytheism. Because none is though of like allah. Allah is not created, his power is not gift to him by anyone, he was never born, he will never die. No one lets him know things. A prophet even if he given the gift of prophacy it is a gift from god. The prophet is not god himself that he could know anything independent of allah. No muslim worth the name could even think that any of the godly are independent of god. How can they be godly if they are believed to independent of god? So it is matter of principles for understanding the concepts very clearly.

1)Shirk is only joining gods with allah.
2)Kufar is only rejecting any fandamental belief of islam.
3)Any other wrong doing is mere a sin and some sins are major others minor.

Let me also make another very important point. That point is that allah and his worshippers are partners in there objective when it comes to islam. This is what party of allah is all about. HIZBULLAH means party of allah ie the partners. This is in contrast with HIZBUSHAITAN. So these verses that tell us about party of allah tell us very clearly who allah's partners are and why allah chose them to be his partners. Some times we read quran but do not pay attention to each and every word. Muslims are called JUNDULLAH, AULIAA etc etc. very clear proof that goly are from from allah and they are on side of allah and are his party=partners. This proves beyond any shadow of doubt that wahabi interpretations of the quran are wrong. Because they call MINALLAH people MINDOONILLAH=rivals of allah.

058_019.gif

058_022.gif

This is proper islam and can be proved beyond a shadow of doubt using all necessary means as explained here and there in my posts.

None can prove anything against these concepts of islam as islam. If anyone thinks one can I will welcome anyone to prove me wrong on these points.

I hope I have helped clarify islamic stance on monotheism and polytheism very clearly.

regards and all the best.

No. Not all. The Third Party is in verse No.103.
Aksarunnas (majority of People).
This is the biggest and core problem with the people, when they tie without any
justification the verses with "polytheists of Makkah", whereas it is the
majority of the people, till the end of this universe.

A Mushrik person will be recognized by HIS DEEDS/ACTIONS, if these actions fall within the parameters set in Quran. And this
principle applies to all other categories also, like Momneen, Fasqeen, Kafreen, Munafaqeen etc etc. etc. etc.

[Pickthal 39:38] And verily, if thou shouldst ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth? they will say: Allah. Say: Bethink you then of those ye worship beside Allah, if Allah willed some hurt for me, could they remove from me His hurt; or if He willed some mercy for me, could they restrain His mercy? Say: Allah is my all. In Him do (all) the trusting put their trust.
[Yusufali 39:38] If indeed thou ask them who it is that created the heavens and the earth, they would be sure to say, "Allah". Say: "See ye then? the things that ye invoke besides Allah,- can they, if Allah wills some Penalty for me, remove His Penalty?- Or if He wills some Grace for me, can they keep back his Grace?" Say: "Sufficient is Allah for me! In Him trust those who put their trust."

This is another example, that People do believe in Allah, but at the same time they invoke others to commit Shirk.

Dear brother, you are mixing two things if I may say so. The verses being there for all times is not in dispute at all because the quran is for all times. What is in dispute is the situations and circumstances in which they apply. For example, if any verse talks about things that can only apply to married people then that is there application ie the verse applies to married people. This is why I explained the grammatical rule that when the target is clearly defined by allah for shirk related verses then each and every verse does not need to repeat the whiole thing over and over again to show this verse appies this people are that people. Likewise if verses talk about shirk then they apply to those who do shirk ie polytheists not muslims because they are not polythiests.

Let me try and explain it by another example, let say a verse talks about people of jannah, now it needs not to say that they are the godly people, because who else could it be when the people of jannah have been clearly told about elsewhere. So it is very clear the way the quran speaks and there is no confusion in there whatsoever. I am quite surprised that you of all people in here are having difficulty in grasping this point. You seem quite knowledgeable about the quran. I myself am having difiiculty in seeing you finding it difficult to grasp the concept.

Regardless I pray that allah help us both with understanding of his word properly lest we mislead others out of ignorance.

regards and all the best.

[12] To John we said, Hold firmly to the scripture. We granted him wisdom, while he was yet a boy,

[13] Thereby we granted him kindness and freedom from doing wrong to others, and he grew up a man mindful of us;

[14] dutiful to his parents - he was neither arrogant nor disobedient.

[15] Peace is on him the day he was born, the day of his death and the Day he will be raised to life again!

[16] O Muhammad, relate to them the story of Mary in the Book (The Qur'an) when she
withdrew from her family to a place in the East under guardianship of Zakariya.

[17] She chose to be secluded from them and then We sent to her Our revelation and the deliverer of our message appeared before her as a good man.

[18] She said: I seek refuge in the merciful God from you, if youreally are a person who does no harm to others.

[19] He said: I am merely a messenger from your Lord to tell you about the gift of a son who will be free of all wrong doings.

[20] She said: How shall I bear a son, for no man has ever touched me nor am I unchaste?

[21] The messenger replied: So shall it be when the time comes - for Your Lord says: It is easy for Me. We wish to make him a lesson for mankind and a blessing from Us - and this matter has already been foretold.

[22] At length she conceived the child after marriage of her choice and she moved with her husband to a remote place.

[23] And at length, the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm-tree. She cried: Ah! Would that I had died before this, and been long forgotten!

[24] An voice from beneath the palm tree consoled her, saying: Do not grieve! Your Lord has provided a brook at yourfeet.

[25] If you shake the trunk of this palm-tree, it will drop fresh ripe dates in your lap.

[26] So eat, drink and refresh yourself. If you see anyone, tell him: I have vowed
a fast for the merciful God, so I will not speak to anyone today.

[27] After some time, carrying the baby, she came back to her people. They said: O Mary! You havedone something strange! You have married a man of your choice not acceptable to us.

[28] O sister (a woman from the noble family) of Aaron! Your father was not a bad man nor your mother an unchaste woman.

[29] In response she pointed towards the child. They said: How can we talk to aboy who is as if it were still in the cradle and baby for them?

[30] Thereupon the boy spoke out: I am indeed a man of Allah. He has given me the Book and made me a Prophet.

[31] His grace is with me wherever I go. He has commanded me to establish prayer and to remain free of harming anyone for as long as I shall live.

[32] He has ordered me to honour my mother and has not made me domineering, hard to deal with. His father may be dead and this could be the reason why Mary came back to her people.

[33] Peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I shall die and the Day I shall be raised to life again.

[34] Such was Jesus the son of Mary, and this is the True statement about him concerning which they are in doubt.

[35] It is not befitting for Allah that He Himself should beget a son! He is far above this; for when He decrees a matter He need only say: Be to initiate the process and it is.

[36] Jesus said, Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: therefore serve Him. This is the
Right Way.

[37] In-spite of this, the sects from among Jews and Christians are divided. So woe to those who put not their faith in this truth when they face the Great Day.

[38] They will be able to see and hear very clearly on that Day when they will appear before Us! But today these wrong doersare in manifest error.

[39] O Muhammad, forewarn them about the Day of intense regret when this matter will be decided, for they are paying no heed and do not believe what is right about Jesus.

[40] Ultimately, all things will perish and it is We, Who will inherit the earth and all that is on it, and to Us shall they return.

[41] Relate to them the story of Abraham from the Quran, he was a truthfulProphet.

[42] Remember when he said to his father: O my father! Why do you believe in something as god that can neither hear nor see, or profit you in any way?

[43] O my father! I have been given some knowledge which has not come to you, sofollow me: I’ll guide you to the Right Way.

[44] O my father! Do not put your faith in the leadership of the wicked: for wicked elite is disobedient to the Compassionate one.

[45] O my father! I fear that a punishment forecasted by the Beneficent may afflict you, and you may become a friend of the wicked.

[46] His father replied: How dare you renounce my gods O Abraham? If you do not stop this folly, I will indeed stone you to death: so be gone from my house this very moment!

[47] Abraham said: Peace be upon you: I will pray to my Lord for your guidance, surely He is ever Kind to me.

[48] I am leaving you and those whom you invoke besides Allah: I will call upon my Lord and I am sure my prayers to my Lord will not be ignored.

[49] So when he left them and the deities whom they worshipped besides Allah, We granted him descendants like Isaac and Jacob, and We made each of them a Prophet.

[50] We bestowed on them Our Mercy and We granted them the honour of being mentioned highly respectfully.

[51]Relate to them the story of Moses in the Book; surely he was a chosen man and wasa Messenger, a Prophet.

[52] We called him from the right side of Mount Tur and honoured him to come closer for exclusive conversation.

[53] We made his brother Aaron a Prophet with Our blessing and assigned him as his assistant.

[54] Also relate to them the story of Ishmael in the Book; he was a man of his word and was a Messenger, a Prophet.

[55] He commanded his people to establish prayer and attain freedom from harming others, and was the one with whom his Lord was well pleased.

[56] Also relate to them the story of Idris in the Book; he was a Truthful man, a Prophet,

[57] whom We raised in ranks to a lofty place.

[58] These are some of the Prophets on whom Allah bestowed His favours from among the
descendants of Adam and of those whom We carried along on the journey to a place with Noah, and of the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and of those whom We guided and chose. Whenever the Revelations of the Compassionate Allah were recited to them, they
fell prostrating and moved to tears.

[59] But the generations who succeeded them abandoned the prayer and started following their lusts; so they will soon face the consequences of their deviation.

[60] However, those who turn to divine guidance and put their faith in and do good to others, will be admitted to Paradise and will not be wronged in the least.

[61] They will be granted the Gardens of Eden which the Merciful has promised to His servants, even though they have not seen them, and His promise shall be fulfilled.

[62] There they will hear no nonsense, but only the words of peace; and they will be provided their sustenance day and night.

[63] Such is the Paradise which We shall give as an inheritance to those of Our Servants who lead a life according to our guidance.

[64] And the prophets say to their people, We come not with heavenly authority except with guidance of your lord; to Him belongs whatever is before us andwhatever is behind us and all that lies in between. Your Lord is never forgetful.

[65] He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of all that lies in between, so
worship Him, be steadfast in His worship. Do you know any other being with the
qualities like Him?

[66]Man says: What! Once I am dead, shall I be raised to life again?

[67] Does not manremember that We created him before out of nothing?

[68] By your Lord, We will call them to account in the company of all their wicked leaders and set them on their knees around the Fire of Hell;

[69] then from every sect We will certainly drag out its stoutest rebels against the Compassionate (Allah).

[70] Certainly We know best who deserves most to be burned therein.

[71] There is not a single one of you, who shall not pass over it, this absolute decree of your Lord is unavoidable;

[72] then We will deliver those who were pious and leave the wrongdoers therein humbled on their knees.

[73] When Our Clear Revelations are recited to them the chiefs of opposers of our guidance say to the believer:Which one, of the two of us, have fine dwelling and better companions?

[74] Don’t they see, how many generations have We destroyed before them, whose chiefs were fargreater in riches and in splendour?

[75] Tell them: Anyone who has gone astray, the Compassionate (Allah) prolongs his respite and extends an opportunity until they see about which they were warned; - be it a worldly revolt or the Hour of Doom - then they will realize whose is the worst dwelling and whose are the weak companions?

[76] In fact, Allah increases in guidance those who seek guidance; everlasting are only the good deeds, which are the best in the sight of your Lord to earn you a better reward and yield you the best fruit?

[77] Have you noticed the words of that person who rejects Our Revelations yet boasts: I shall always be given wealth and children?

[78] Has he gained knowledge of the Unseen or has he been awarded a contract by the Compassionate (Allah)?

[79] By no means! We write down what he says and We will make his punishment long and terrible.

[80] We will inherit all that he boasts of, and he will come back to Us all alone leaving all these things behind.

[81] They have taken other deities for worship besides Allah, so that they should be a source of strength to them.

[82] By no means! Those very deities will renounce their worship and turn against them.

[83]Don’t you see that We have made for those who oppose our guidance the wicked leaders who incite themagainst the Truth?

[84] Therefore be not in haste against them, their days are numbered.

[85] The Day will surely come when We will gather the righteous like honoured guests before the Compassionate (Allah),

[86] and drive the criminals to Hell like thirsty cattle are driven to water.

[87] None shall have the power to intercede except the one who may receive the sanction of the Compassionate (Allah).

[88]Those who say: The Compassionate (God) has begotten a son,

[89] certainlypreach such a monstrous falsehood,

[90] that the very Heavens might fall apart, the earth might cleave asunder and the mountains might crumble to pieces

[91] - at their ascribing a son to the Compassionate (God),

[92] It is not befitting to the Compassionate (God) that He should beget a son.

[93] There is none in the heavens and in the earth but must come to the Compassionate (Allah) in full submission.

[94] He has a comprehensive knowledge and has kept strict count of all Hiscreatures,

[95] and every one of them will come to Him individually on the Day of Resurrection.

[96] Surely the Beneficent will bring about love between those who believe and do good for each other.

[97] We have made this Qur’an easy in your own language so that you may give good news to the righteous and warn the headstrong contentious folk.

[98] How many generations have We destroyed before them! Can you see any of them, or hear even a sound of them?

Re: What Qur'aan says about SHIRK

A Mushrik person will be recognized by HIS DEEDS/ACTIONS, if these actions fall within the parameters set in Quran. And this
principle applies to all other categories also, like Momneen, Fasqeen, Kafreen, Munafaqeen etc etc. etc. etc.

No dear brother not at all. This is like turning islam on its head and making it what it is not. There are so mnay things and actions we share with all people regardless of their beliefs. For example, mushriks had beards and the muslims had beards in makkah. Muslims did a lot of the same things as mushrikeen of makkah. Because all people in a place have very similar lives other than their beliefs and their intentions or motivations etc.

This way of looking at islam is full of holes right from the word go. I therefore respectfully have to say that you are very badly mistaken about islam. I pray that allah may remove your confusion in this matter.

regards and all the best.

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

[2] We have not sent this Qur’an to make your life difficult,

[3] but as a lesson for those who think about solving the difficulties people face in life.

[4] It is sent by Him Who created the earth and the lofty Heavens.

[5] the merciful oneWho has sovereignty over the kingdom,

[6] to Him belongs whatever is in the Heavens and in the earth, and all that lies between them, and all that is beneath the soil.

[7] The One to Whom you need not speak aloud; for He knows what is said in secret and what is yet more hidden.

[8] He is Allah! There is no god but Him! To Him belong the most beautiful Names.

[9] Have you heard the story of Moses?

[10] When he saw a fire, he said to his family: Wait! I saw a fire. I may be able to bring some fire or find someone beside the fire to guide us.

[11] But when he came there, he heard a call: O Moses!

[12] I am your Lord! Take off your shoes, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa.

[13] I have chosen you as my messenger for your people, so listen to the message I am about to reveal to you.

[14] It is Me, Allah; there is no god except Me, so believe in Me and establish prayer in My remembrance.

[15] The final Hour is sure to come, I choose to keep it hidden, so that every soul may be rewarded according to its efforts.

[16] Therefore, let not any, who does not believe in this fact and follow his own desires, turn your away, lest you should perish.

[17] O Moses tell me, what is your responsibility?

[18] Moses replied: It is my main responsibility for I depend on it for my livelihood and with it I am happy that I feed my flocks and I have also other responsibilities along with it.

[19] Allah said, give this responsibility of yours rest, O Moses.

[20] So at length he gave up looking after his goats, he saw the flock moving like a snake
active in motion feeding away the while Moses was having conversation with his lord.

[21] Allah said: take control of it and worry not about your livelihood, We shall let you gather your flock back in its original shape.

[22] Now bring together all your responsibilities under your authority, all this will fit together nicely without putting yourself under anymore difficulty, so this is another lesson for you.

[23] We brought you here, so that we show you some of Our Great lessons.

[24] Now go to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds.

[25]Moses prayed: O Lord! Open my heart,

[26] ease my task

[27] and remove theimpediment from my speech

[28] so that people may understand what I say

[29] andgrant me a minister from my family;

[30] Aaron my brother.

[31] Grant me strengththrough him

[32] and let him share my task,

[33] so that we may glorify Youfrequently

[34] and call you to mind often;

[35] for You are the One Who has always beenwatching over us.

[36] Allah responded: Your request is granted, O Moses.

[37] We had indeed bestowed a favour on you before,

[38] when We inspired Our plan to your mother saying:

[39] Put your child into the chest and throw the chest into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank and he will be picked up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him. I made you an object of love and so arranged things that you may be brought up under My supervision.

[40] Recall when your sister went to them and said: May I tell you of the one who can take care of this child? Thus did We return you back to your mother to comfort her eyes and that she might not grieve. Again when you killed a man, We saved you from great distress and We tested you through various trials. You stayed a number of years with the people of
Median. Now you have come here per Our pre-ordainment, O Moses.

[41] I have moulded you for My service.

[42] You and your brother should go with My Signs and do not neglect to mention Me.

[43] Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds.

[44] Speak to him in gentle words; perhaps he may take heed of the reminder or fear the consequences of his actions.

[45] Moses and Aaron said: Our Lord! We fear that he may behave towards us unjustly or may cross all bounds.

[46] Allah said: Do not be afraid, I shall be with you both. I hear everything and see
everything.

[47] So go to him and say, we both are Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us and oppress them no more. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord; may peace be upon him who follows the guidance.

[48] Indeed it has been revealed to us that the revolt will fall on those who deny thisfact and turn away.

[49] When Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and delivered this message, he said: who is your Lord O Moses?

[50] Moses replied: Our Lord is He Who has given a distinctive form to all creatures and then rightly guided them.

[51] Pharaoh asked: What do you say about the condition of previous generations?

[52] Moses replied: That knowledge is with my Lord, duly recorded in a Book. He neither makesa mistake nor does He forget.

[53] He is the One Who has made the earth a cradle for you, traced the roads on it for you to walk on; and sends down water from the heaven. Surely with water from the heaven We produce pairs of various kinds of vegetation

[54] - you eat from these yourselves and pasture your cattle. Surely there are lessons in it for those who use their brains.

[55] We have created you from the earth, into it We shall return you and from it We shall
bring you back to life once again.

[56] We showed Pharaoh all kinds of Our lessons, but he denied them and gave no heed.

[57] Instead he said: have you come to drive us out of our land with your secret political plot O Moses?

[58] Well, we will confront you with a matching plan of our own! Let us fix a day when both of us should meet, neither we nor you shall fail to keep it, in a place where both shall have even chances.

[59] Moses replied: Let it be the Day of Festival and let the people be assembled before noon.

[60] Pharaoh then withdrew, concerted his plan and came back.

[61] Moses addressedthem saying: Woe to you for this challenge! Do not forge a lie against Allah bycalling it trickery, lest He destroy you by a revolt; for whosoever forges a lie willindeed be disappointed.

[62] Hearing this, they debated their case amongthemselves, whispering to one another.

[63] Finally they said: These two (Moses and Aaron) are certainly expert plotters who intend to drive you out from your landwith their conspiracy and to do away with your best traditions.

[64] Therefore, muster up all skills and face them with a united front. Finally when the day of confrontation came, Pharaoh said: Whoever comes out victorious this day shall prevail.

[65]The experts said: O Moses! Will you demonstrate first or shall we?

[66] Moses replied: Go ahead, you demonstrate your marshal art skills first. Suddenly it appeared to Moses as if their ropes and sticks were moving about because of their skills,

[67] and Moses conceived concernwithin himself.

[68] We said: Do not be afraid! You will surely come out on top.

[69] Demonstrate that which is within your power. It will make it bite the dust all that they have produced. What they have produced is nothing but simple marshal art tricks for show, and simple fighting tricks by artist no matter how skilful he may be can neversucceed against the skill of battle hardened person.

[70] so the experts were brought low and they submitted saying: We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses.

[71] Pharaoh said: How dare you to believe in Him without my permission? This man must be your master, who taught you the skills you showed. Well, I will cut off your hands and feet on alternate sidesand crucify you on trunks of palm-trees; then you will know which one of us can givea more terrible and more lasting punishment.

[72] The experts replied: We can never prefer you, rather we prefer the clear lessons which we have witnessed and Him Who has created us. Therefore do whatever you will; you can only punish us in the life of this world.

[73] As for us, we have believed in our Lord so that He may exempt us from consequences of our actions and for the demonstration of our skills that you forced upon us against our lord. Better is the everlasting reward that rests with Allah.

[74] Surely he who comes to his Lord as a transgressor against his guidance shall be consigned to Hell, wherein he shall neither die nor live.

[75] While he who will come to Him as a follower of his guidance who has done good for others shall have the highest ranks with him and will be in

[76] - Gardens of Eden, beneath which rivers flow, to live therein forever; such is the reward of those who purify themselves from doing evil to others.

[77] We sent Our revelation to Moses, saying: Set on a journey with my people and find for them a path to camp in a suitable place by the sea without worry and fear for reaching the appointed place.

[78] At length Pharaoh tried to follow them with his hosts but the waters from the sea completely overcome them and covered them up so he failed to pursue his objective.

[79] Thus Pharaoh led his people the wrong way in to the sea instead of guiding them aright like Moses.

[80] O Children of Israel! We surely delivered you from your enemy and We fixed a time to grant you The Torah on the right side of Mount Tur and We brought forth for you food and drink

[81] - saying: Eat of the good things We have provided for your sustenance and do not transgress, lest you should incur My wrath as is my rule of cause and effect, and whoever incurs My wrath, is surely bound to perish,

[82] but the one who reforms putting his faith in our guidance and does what good for others and continues following the Right Way shall be relieved of his past wrong doings.

[83] When Moses came to mount Tur, Allah said: But, why have you come with such ahaste ahead of your people, O Moses?

[84] He replied: They are close behind me, I hastened to You O Lord so that You may be pleased.

[85] Allah said: Well, listen! We saw your people fall into dispute after you and Samaritan has led them astray.

[86] So Moses returned to his people in a state of outrage and sorrow. He said: O my people! Did your Lord not make a gracious promise to you? Was my absence too long for you? Or was it that you wanted to draw wrath of your Lord upon yourselves that you broke your promise with me?

[87] They replied: We broke the promise through no fault of ours rather we were made to carry the burden of the peoples' ornaments so we threw them into the fire, thus Samaritan suggested.

[88] and he brought out a calf shaped body thereof which produced the mooing sound. Then some of them cried out to others: This is your god and the god of Moses, but Moses forgot to mention it to you.

[89] What! Could they not see that it did not respond to them and that it could neither harm them nor help them?

[90] Aaron had already told them: O my people! This is but a mischief against you; for your
Lord is the merciful one: so follow me and do as I command you.

[91] But they replied: We will not abandon its worship until Moses’ return.

[92] Then Moses addressed Aaron: O Aaron! What prevented you when yousaw them going astray

[93] from following me? Why did you disobey me?

[94] Haroon replied: O son of my mother! Do not seize me by my beard nor pull the hair of my head, in fact I was afraid lest you might say: You have caused a division, through civil war, among the Children of Israel and did not respect what I said, to keep peace’.

[95] Then Moses addressed Samaritan: Now what you have to say about this, O Samaritan?

[96] He replied: I thought of something that they did not think of to gain influence on these people like Moses, so I got hold of the idea of acting like a divine messenger so I used it to gain influence like you: thus did my soul prompt me.

[97] Moses said to him: get away from here! now throughout your life, you will say to other people: come not near me; and you will not escape your appointed doom. Behold, this god to whom you had become a devoted worshipper: we will burn it and scatter its ashes into the sea.

[98] Then he addressed his people: O my people! Your only God is Allah, other than Whom there is no god. His knowledge encompasses everything.

[99]Thus do We relate to you, O Muhammad, some information of the past events; and
indeed We have sent you this Qur’an as a guidance from Ourself.

[100] Those who reject it, shall bear a heavy burden on the Day of Resurrection.

[101] For ever shall they bear it, and it will be indeed a very evil burden to bear on the Day of
Resurrection.

[102] The Day, when the new creation will be brought into being and We shall assemble all the sinners, their eyes will turn blue with terror.

[103] They shall murmur among themselves: You hardly lived ten days on earth.

[104] We know full well what they will say; the most careful estimator among them will say: No, you stayed no longer than a day.

[105] They ask you as to what will happen to the mountains. Tell them: My Lord will crush them and scatter them like a fine dust.

[106] He will turn the earth into a plain levelled ground,

[107] wherein you will not see neither any curve nor crease.

[108] - On that Day the people will follow the call of the Caller, no one will dare show any
crookedness; their voices hushed before the Beneficent (Allah), and you shall hear nothing but the sound of the marching feet.

[109] On that Day, no intercession will avail except the one to whom the Beneficent (Allah) shall grant permission based on his guidance and would like to give him a hearing.

[110] He knows what is before them and what is behind them while they do not encompass any knowledge about Him.

[111] Their faces shall be humbled before the Ever-Living, the Ever-existent (Allah). The one who is carrying the burden of iniquity will be doomed:

[112] but the one who is a believer and does good deeds shall fear no tyranny or injustice.

[113] Thus have we sent down this Qur’an in Arabic and clearly proclaimed in it some of
the warnings so that they may take heed or that it may serve as a reminder to them.

[114] High and exalted be Allah, the True King! Do not hasten to recite the Qur’an before its revelation is completely conveyed to you, and then say: O Lord! Increase my knowledge.

[115] We had taken a covenant from Adam before, but he forgot. We did not find in him firm determination.

[116] When We said to the chiefs, submit to Adam as your Khalifah, they all submitted except Iblees, who refused.

[117] Then We said: O Adam! This is your enemy of yours and of your wife. Do not let him get you both out of your paradise like place of residence for a khalifah and get you into difficult life.

[118] Here in official residence for khalifah you shall go neither hungry nor naked;

[119] you shall neither suffer from thirst nor from the scorching heat.

[120]- But wicked enemy of theirs seduced him saying: O Adam! Should I show you the code of life that leads to Immortalityand an everlasting kingdom?

[121] so they both partook therein against the guidance of Allah. As a result their shameful act became obvious to them and they began to cover themselves with the leaves of the garden to hide themselves. Thus did Adam disobey His Lord and go of the track.

[122] Later Adam turned to his Lord who chose him, accepted his reformation and gave him further guidance,

[123] saying: leave the office all of you together; some of you are enemies of others, however when there comes to you guidance from Me then whosoever will follow My guidance will neither go astray nor get into trouble;

[124] but the one who will turn away from My reminder shall live a meagre life and We shall raise him back to life as a blind person on the Day of Resurrection.

[125] He will say: O Lord! Why have you raised me up blind here, while I was clear-sighted before?

[126] Allah will say: Just as Our revelation came to you and you played blind; so are you blind today.

[127] Thus do We reward the one who is a transgressor and does not believe in the revelations of his Lord. The punishment of the Hereafter is more terrible and more lasting.

[128] Have these people not learned a lesson, that We have destroyed before them many
generations in whose ruins they walk through? Certainly in these ruins there are lessons for people of understanding.

[129] Had it not been already decreed by your Lord and a term for respite been appointed,
they would have been punished.

[130] Therefore be patient with what they say. Glorify your Lord with His praise before sunrise and before sunset, glorify Him during the hours of the night as well as at the ends of the day, so that you may find satisfaction.

[131] Do not look at the worldly benefits We have allowed them to gather for themselves at the expense of others as something good for them, because with these We let them inflict harm on each other who oppose our guidance, so the lawful provision of your Lord is better and lasting.

[132] Enjoin prayer on your people and be diligent in its observance. We demand nothing of you for our sustenance; instead We provide you sustenance. Blessed shall be the end of the Righteous.

[133] They say: Why does he not bring us a Sign from His Lord that we ask for? Has not a clear Sign (The Qur’an) come to them containing all the teachings of the former Scriptures?

[134] Had We let them perish before its revelation, they would have said: Our Lord! If only You had sent us a Messenger, we would certainly have followed Your revelations before being humiliated and disgraced by our own beliefs and actions.

[135] Say: All are waiting: so wait if you will. Very soon you shall find out, who is following the Right Way and who has been rightly guided.

Re: What Qur'aan says about SHIRK

But dear brother these others are not prophets and other godly people because alla himself calls them his JUND, his HIZB, his AULIAA etc etc. Allah says godly people are his party, this means allah is also party member of believers. What is party member? A partner. The question is, what does partner mean here? The sharing of cause not kind of being. Allah and his partners share the cause ie islam is a common cause for allah and his worshippers.

So even allah does not condemn shirk in all its meanings. Rather allah is saying very clearly that we are a party who share the same cause. Allah does not mind muslims being his partners in his cause, why do you?

Also shirk means believing in more than one god that is why allah is saying they do not believe in allah alone as god and not because muslim are calling on prophets and saints as prophets and saints and seeking assistance. There is nothing wrong like shirk if I call on some one for help believing that that person is not god nor god like but may be he can help in his own capacity. Because only a god can help in godly capocity others can only help as much as is within their power that allah has given them.

regards and all the best.

21 MAKAH AL-ANBIYA’ – THE PROPHETS 73

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

[1] The accountability of mankind is getting ever closer yet they remain unaware of it by ignoring our guidance.

[2] There comes to them not a warning from their lord but they listen to it for the purpose of ridiculing it and remain engaged in their harmful activities against guidance and humanity about which they are warned.

[3] Their minds are preoccupied with worldly affairs in ways that lead to their own mutual destruction; the chiefs of opposers of our guidance say to each other in private: Is this man who claims to be the messenger of Allah not a human being like yourselves? Would you then follow superstition with your eyes open?

[4] Tell them: My Lord has knowledge of every word which is spoken in the heavens and the earth, and He hears all and knows all.

[5] Rather they say, this Qur’an is jumble of confusing thoughts that He has made it all up or that He is a poet! Let him bring to us a sign we ask for like the Messengers of the past as we assume they did.

[6] The fact is we never sent any sign they asked for we simply revealed the guidance for people to abide by, not a single nation before them, which We destroyed, ever believed and lived by our guidance so will they believe in our guidance and live by it?

[7] The Messengers which We sent before you, O Muhammad, were also human to whom We sent revelation. Say, if you do not know this then ask the people who had been sent similar reminder before this. We never sent any sign to them like the one they are asking for rather they are making such demands out of ignorance.

[8] We did not give the messengers bodies, other than the ones humans have, which could survive without food nor were they immortal.

[9] But We did fulfil Our promise to them: We saved them and those whom We pleased, and let destroy through each other those who lived as they liked disregarding our guidance or even fighting against it.

[10] Now, O People, We have sent you The Qur’an which deals with matters concerning
yourselves; why don’t you learn to understand it?

[11] How many nations We have destroyed because of their iniquities and replaced them
by other nations!

[12] When they felt that Our punishment was coming, they took to their heels and fled.

[13] They were told: Do not run away. Return to your luxuries of life and to your homes, so that you may be asked questions.

[14] They replied: Woe to us! Indeed we were doing things against guidance and humanity.

[15] They kept on repeating that statement till we mowed them down, leaving no spark of life in them.

[16] Beware, Our creation of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them is not without purpose.

[17] Had We meant to make it a mere pass time play ground, We would have done it by Ourself, without giving you discretion to do right and wrong.

[18] Nay! We give falsehood a violent blow with the Truth to knock it out and
behold! Falsehood vanishes away. Woe be to you, for all the false gods you have
invented.

[19] To Him belongs all that exists in the heavens and in the earth; and people who are in His presence are not too proud to serve Him, nor do they get fed up with his service.

[20] They glorify Him night and day as directed; without fail.

[21] Have the earthly deities, that they have taken for worship, the power to raise the dead?

[22] If there were other gods in the heavens or in the earth besides Allah, both the heavens
and earth would have been in a state of disorder. Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the Throne, absolutely free is He from the falsehood that they attribute to Him.

[23] He is accountable to none about what He does, but they are accountable to Him.

[24] Even then, have they taken other deities for worship besides Him? Ask them: Show us
your proof: here is this reminder (Al-Qur’an) for the people of my time and it also contains the reminder of those before me. But most of them are not aware facts or how to make sense of them and that is why they have turned away from our guidance because they are not bothered to learn.

[25]The fact is that to every Messenger whom We sent before you, We revealed thesame Message: There is no god but Me, so put your faith in Me Alone as your God.

[26] In spite of receiving that message, they still say: The Beneficent (Allah) has offspring! Glorybe to Him! they are but humans His honoured servants and prophets.

[27] They do not precede Him in speaking and they act according to His commandment.

[28] He knows what is before them and what is behind them and they do not intercede except for the one whom He approves, and in his awe they tremble.

[29] If any of them were to say: I am also a deity besides Him, We would send him straight to hell as we usually reward the ones who do things against our advice.

[30] Have not those who deny and oppose our guidance ever considered that all the far away galaxies and whatever they have in them and the milky way and this solar system and the earth on which they live were once a single mass, then We brought them about in six steps as you see them as separate things? And We have created every living thing on the earth from the water. Will they still not believe?

[31] And We brought about mountains and valleys on earth lest it remained submerged under water with them and We left between them open passages so that they may find their way and direction when they go about their daily business on the land, sea, air or space.

[32] And We have made in the heaven a safe canopy: yet they are heedless to these lessons.

[33] He is the One Who has brought about, the phenomenon of the night and the day as well as brought about the sun and the moon: all rotating on their own axis as well as travelling along swiftly in an orbit of their own fulfilling their own individual purposes.

[34] O Muhammad, We have not granted immortality to any human before you: so if you
are to die, will these opposers of our guidance live forever?

[35] Every person is bound to experience death. We are just letting you demonstrate your beliefs and actions with reference to our guidance by means of beneficial and harmful situations and circumstances and finally you shall return to Us for final accountability and reward.

[36] When the opposers of our guidance see you they take you not but for a person to be scoffed at, saying: Is this the one who talks against your gods? Yet they themselves deny and oppose the guidance of the Compassionate (Allah).

[37] Man is a creature of haste and is impatient. Soon I will show you fulfilment of My revelations, then you not ask me to hasten them rather you will want them delayed.

[38] Still they ask: When will this promise be fulfilled if you are telling the truth?

[39] They would not have asked this question if only the opposers of our guidance could imagine the Day when they will be able to protect neither their faces from the sorrow of agony nor their backs, nor will they be helped!

[40] Nay, it will come upon them all of a sudden in form of revolt and overpower them so abruptly that they shall neither be able to avert it nor shall they get any respite.

[41] As for their scoffing, the Messengers before you were also scoffed at; but their scoffers were hemmed in by the very thing at which they used to scoff.

[42] Ask them, Who is there to protect you by night and by day from set rule of cause and effect by Compassionate Allah? Yet they turn away from the admonition of their Lord.

[43] Do they have such gods who can defend them against Us? Their make belief gods can neither help themselves nor can they protect themselves from Us.

[44] The fact is that We gave the good things of this life to them and their forefathers until they got used to these things against our advice because of their prolonged lives; can they not see how We gradually reduce the land which was in their control and curtail it from all sides because of their own harmful actions against each other? Do they still expect to be victorious against Us when they are busy putting each other down because of their stupidity?

[45] Tell them, I am warning you on the authority of Revelation of Allah, but the deaf choose not to listen the call when they are warned!

[46] Yet even if a breath from the Wrath of your Lord was to touch them, they will certainly
say, Woe to us! No doubt we used to do harm to each other.

[47] On the Day of Judgement We shall set up scales of justice so that no one will be dealt with unjustly in any way; even if someone has an act as small as a grain of a mustard seed, We will bring it to account, and sufficient are We to settle the accounts.

[48]Certainly, We granted to Moses and Aaron the Criterion for right and wrong,a light and a reminder for those who do what is right and good for others,

[49] who are mindful of their Lord though they have not seen Him, and dread the Day of Judgment.

[50] And now We have revealed this blessed Qur’an as reminder. Will you then deny it?

[51] Even before that We blessed Abraham with rectitude, for We knew him well.

[52]Remember that occasion when Abraham asked his father and his people, What are
these images to which you are so devoted as your gods?

[53] They replied, We found our forefathers putting their faith in them.

[54] He said, Then certainly both you and your forefathers have been in manifest error.

[55] They asked, Have you brought us the Truth or are you one of the triflers?

[56] He replied, Nay! Your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. It is He Who has created them; and I am of those who bear witness to this.

[57] By Allah! I will certainly plan against your idols when you turn and go away.

[58] So he broke them all in pieces except the biggest of them, so that
they might turn to it.

[59] On their return when they saw the plight of their idols, some asked, Who has done this to our gods? He must surely be a wickedperson!

[60] Others replied, We heard a youth, called Abraham, talking about them.

[61] They said, Then bring him here before the eyes of the people, so that they may witness how severely he is punished.

[62] When Abraham came, they asked, O Abraham, are you the one who has done this to our gods?

[63] He replied, Surely someone has done it; the chief of them, that is! Ask them, if they can
speak!

[64] Thereupon they turned to search their own consciences, and said to themselves, Surely you yourselves are the wrongdoers!

[65] Confounded as they were, lowering their heads they said, You know full well that they cannotspeak.

[66] At this Abraham said, Do you then worship these deities, instead of Allah, who can neither benefit nor harm you?

[67] Shame on you and on those deities you worship besides Allah! Have you no sense at all?

[68] Their reply was, put him through torture to avenge the insult he has inflicted on your gods, if you must take any action.

[69] But When some decided to put him through torture, We let others cool them down by their suggestion that he be banished from the land and so we altered the agony they kindled against him to his advantage that led him to a peaceful life.

[70] They sought to harm him, but We made them lose big time.

[71] Thus We delivered him and his nephew Lot and directed them to the land which We had already blessed for peopleof all nations.

[72] We gave him a son Isaac and then a grandson Jacob; and We made each of them a
a person who did good for others.

[73] We made them leaders who guided other people by Our command and We sent them revelations to do good for others and establish prayer and attain freedom from doing harm to others. Thus they served Us Alone.

[74] To Lot We gave wisdom and knowledge, and We delivered him from the town which lived against our guidance - surely its inhabitants were very wicked transgressors against each other.

[75] - and We admitted him to Our mercy: for he was of the people who do good for others.

[76] Before them Noah prayed to Us, We accepted his prayer and delivered him and his
family from the great revolt.

[77] We helped him against those people who had denied Our revelations; surely they were harmful and destructive people, so We destroyed them by their own doings.

[78] We also bestowed favours upon David and Solomon: when the two were judging a case regarding the field into which the sheep of certain people had strayed by night, and We were watching them to arrive at judgment,

[79] at that time We gave Solomon insight to arrive at the right decision, although We had given wisdom and knowledge to both of them. We caused the mountains and the birds to echo Our praises with David; it was We Who made this happen.

[80] We taught him the armour craft, so that they might protect you in your wars: yet are you ever grateful?

[81] We made the raging winds subservient to Solomon by way of wind technology for shipping, pursuing its course by his command to the land which We had blessed; and We have knowledge of everything.

[82] And We had subjected to him many of the leading experts in various fields such as those who dived for him into the sea and likewise others who performed other duties besides this; and We were the One Who kept an eye over them.

[83] And We blessed Job, when he prayed to his Lord saying, I am badly afflicted with harm by my people: but of all those who show mercy You are the most Merciful.

[84] We accepted his prayer and relieved him of his affliction, and blessed him with family of his own as well as the followers as a favour from Us so that it may serve as an example to those who put their faith in us.

[85] Moreover, We blessed Ishmael) and Idris and Zul-kifl, for all of them were consistent with our guidance and practised patiently what they peached.

[86] We admitted them to Our Mercy, for they were of the righteous people.

[87] We blessed Zun-nun (Jonah), when he departed in anger, thinking We would not take him to task for this, but later he prayed to Us from the depths of sadness, There is no god but You, glory be to You! Indeed I am the one who harmed myself so have mercy on me.

[88] We accepted his prayer and delivered him from distress; thus do We deliver those who put their faith in us.

[89] We blessed Zakariya, when he prayed to his Lord, O my Lord! Do not let me remain childless even though You are the best of inheritors.

[90] We accepted his prayer and gave him John), blessed his wife for him to bear him a child. They were ever quick in emulating good deeds and called on Us with hope and in awe with submission.

[91] And We blessed the woman (Mary), who guarded her chastity, We breathed into her a new life by way of our revelation and We made her and her son a lesson for the people of all the nations.

[92] Verily this brotherhood of yours is a single brotherhood and I am your only Lord,
therefore worship Me Alone.

[93] But the people have divided their religion into sects
between them- to Us they shall all return.

[94]Whoever shall do good deeds, provided he is a believer, his endeavor will not be
rejected: We are recording it all for him.

[95] It is not possible that a nation which We
have destroyed may rise again.

[96] Until, when Gog and Magog will be let loose and
they will swiftly swarm from every height,

[97] and the time of fulfillment for the True
Promise will draw near, then behold! The eyes of the unbelievers will fixedly stare in
horror: "O woe to us! We were indeed heedless of this warning; nay we were
wrongdoers."

[98]Surely you (O pagans) and your deities that you worship besides Allah shall be the
fuel of hell; therein you shall all enter.

[99] If those deities would have been true gods,
they would not have gotten there; but there they shall abide forever.

[100] In there,
sobbing will be their lot, and they will not be able to hear anything else.

[101]
Certainly those for whom the good reward from Us has preceded them will be kept
far away from it.

[102] They shall not hear even its slightest sound, and they shall
dwell forever in the midst of whatever their souls desire.

[103] The time of Great
Terror (Day of Judgement) will not grieve them, and the angels will receive them with
greetings: "This is your Day that you were promised."

[104] On that Day We shall roll
up the heavens like a scroll of writings; just as We originated the first creation, so
shall We produce it again - that is Our promise, and We will fulfill it.

[105] We wrote
this in The Zaboor (Psalms xxxvii, 29) after the reminder (Torah given to Moses): that
as for the land, My righteous servants shall inherit it."

[106] Surely in this is great
news for those people who worship Us.

[107] 21:[98-106]
O Muhammad, We have not sent you but as a blessing for all the worlds.

[108] Tell
them: "It has been revealed to me that your God is One God - will you then become
Muslims?"

[109] If they give no heed, tell them: "I have warned you all alike in
complete fairness; now I do not know whether what you are threatened with is near
or far.

[110] It is He Who knows your spoken words and hidden thoughts.

[111] I do
not know whether this delay is a trial for you or you are being given respite for an
appointed time."

[112] Finally the Prophet said: "O Lord! Pass Your Judgment with
fairness. And O People! Our Lord is most Compassionate, Whose help we seek
against the blasphemies you utter."

Dear brother, you are mixing two things if I may say so. The verses being there for all times is not in dispute at all because the quran is for all times.

(Thanks to Allah that you accepted at least one aspect that the Verse is not only and exclusively for Mushraykeen Macca, as was your point
in the last post)

What is in dispute is the situations and circumstances in which they apply. For example, if any verse talks about things that can only apply to married people then that is there application ie the verse applies to married people.

( Even by this your logic. The verse applies to "those people WHO BELIEVE IN ALLAH, but at the same time they make Shirk". These people
are believing Allah and committing Shirk). The verse is so clear and transparent, I really do not know what it is not being understood by you)

(Oh my dear.! the verse apply to those who do Shirk but they believe in Allah also, you wish to grab the ear from other side ok, but please
understand that verse is conveying that People while believing in Allah, at the same state, do commit Shirk and they are plenty)

Let me try and explain it by another example, let say a verse talks about people of jannah, now it needs not to say that they are the godly people, because who else could it be when the people of jannah have been clearly told about elsewhere.

(It will depend how the concept of Jannah being narrated and discussed)

So it is very clear the way the quran speaks and there is no confusion in there whatsoever. I am quite surprised that you of all people in here are having difficulty in grasping this point. You seem quite knowledgeable about the quran. I myself am having difiiculty in seeing you finding it difficult to grasp the concept.
(The same situation, I am feeling, that you are running from pillar to post to prove your point, but such a clear verse, universal in nature is not being
understood by you)

Regardless I pray that allah help us both with understanding of his word properly lest we mislead others out of ignorance.

regards and all the best.
Regards and all the best also.

Re: What Qur'aan says about SHIRK

For God Shake, Dear, your point is absolutely wrong and unconvincing. The beard and cloths has nothing to do with a concept of Shirk. Let me
say it again in Shirk:
a) People worship other than Allah.
b) People invoke other than Allah
c) People invoke and worship with Allah,
Whereas the Toheed is: ALLAH AND ONLY ALLAH. Other than's list had already been given with quranic verses.

Re: What Qur'aan says about SHIRK

May Allah increase your true knowledge of Quran. Perhaps you, yourself are not cognizant of what you have written or referred.
I can only pray for you.

Re: What Qur'aan says about SHIRK

You are interprting the Quran Ayat in way it suits your belief. The right way is to believe what is the right interprtation.

The Ayaat of surah 7 that you tell are for idol worshippers. In the translation of 7: 194 you have inserted in brackets the words mystics and saints whereas there is no such word in the Arabic of the Ayat. In the next Ayat it is clear 7:195 that it is meant for idols.

[7:194]

Indeed, those you [polytheists] call upon besides Allah are servants like you. So call upon them and let them respond to you, if you should be truthful [7:194]

[7:195]

Do they have feet by which they walk? Or do they have hands by which they strike? Or do they have eyes by which they see? Or do they have ears by which they hear? Say, [O Muhammad], "Call your 'partners' and then conspire against me and give me no respite [7:195]

Tell me that it clear in 7:195 that those dont have feet and dont have hands and dont have eyes and dont have ears. This is for idols and not for humans because every class 1 child knows that humans have eyes and hands and feet and ears.

So dont insert mystics and saints in brackets and misguide people. This is sin for misguiding people. Show me where the Arabic word for mystics and saints used in 7:194. It only mean idol.

In 7:196 you yourself acknowledge that Allah befriends righteous. The word you translate into befriends is yatawalla, This word yatawalla is also used in Ayat 3:23 and 24:47. Can you also translate these two Ayaat and then explain why your translation different from befirends. I waiting for your answer.

Then next you use Ayaat of surah 28 for your agenda wrongly again. Your translation without the brackets tell

28:88

call not upon gods side by side with Allah. There is no god but He. Everything is mortal except His Eternal Self. To Him belong all Governance and all Judgment, and unto Him you shall be returned.

It tells us that not to invoke any gods except Allah or with Allah. The word used is Ilaha for god other than Allah. Ilaha again mean any person or object which is considered as god by an individual or a group of people. Ilaha word has been used several times in Quran and as I tell it mean the fake or created god by people.

Next Ayat 34:22 conirms what I tell in the two lines.

Say, [O Muhammad], "Invoke those you claim besides Allah." They do not possess an atom's weight in the heavens or on the earth, and they do not have therein any partnership, nor is there for Him from among them any assistant [34:22]

Again it means fake or created god which is worshipped apart from Allah should not be invoked. We all Muslims believe that there is one and only Allah who is worshipped only. No other can be worshipped.

So it clearly tell that if invoking is wrong when a god is approached. It doesnt mean that if I invoke you to help me in maths then this is shirk.

And if there is any doubt then the next Ayat will confirm my point 34:23

And intercession does not benefit with Him except for one whom He permits. [And those wait] until, when terror is removed from their hearts, they will say [to one another], "What has your Lord said?" They will say, "The truth." And He is the Most High, the Grand [34:23]

If you think there is only one Ayat in which the exception condition for intercession is allowed then I tell you more Ayaat.

Any man know meaning of intercession

Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great [2:255]

Notice the word "except" in the above mentioned verse. This verse does not condemn the presence of an intercessor; they just put a condition for the fact of intercession.

That Day, no intercession will benefit except one to whom the Most Merciful has given permission and has accepted his word [20:109]

And intercession does not benefit with Him except for one whom He permits. [And those wait] until, when terror is removed from their hearts, they will say [to one another], "What has your Lord said?" They will say, "The truth." And He is the Most High, the Grand [34:23]

And how many angels there are in the heavens whose intercession will not avail at all except after Allah has permitted to whom He wills and approves [53:26]

He knows what is before them, and what is behind them, and they cannot intercede except for him with whom He is pleased. And they stand in awe for fear of Him [21:28]

And those whom they invoke instead of Him have no power of intercession; except those who bear witness to the truth and they know [43:86]

And We did not send any messenger except to be obeyed by permission of Allah. And if, when they wronged themselves, they had come to you, [O Muhammad], and asked forgiveness of Allah and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah Accepting of repentance and Merciful [4:64]
In waseela Ayats the translation clearly shows that it is not forbidden

Those whom they invoke seek means of access to their Lord, [striving as to] which of them would be nearest, and they hope for His mercy and fear His punishment. Indeed, the punishment of your Lord is ever feared [17:57]

Where is it forbidden tell me in the above Ayat

O you who have believed, fear Allah and seek the means of approach (waseela) to Him and strive in His cause that you may succeed [5:35]

There are numerous Hadees about intercession shall we start discussion.

Re: What Qur'aan says about SHIRK

For God Shake, Dear, your point is absolutely wrong and unconvincing. The beard and cloths has nothing to do with a concept of Shirk. Let me
say it again in Shirk:
a) People worship other than Allah.
b) People invoke other than Allah
c) People invoke and worship with Allah,
Whereas the Toheed is: ALLAH AND ONLY ALLAH. Other than's list had already been given with quranic verses.

Dear brother, the verses that tell us people believe in allah and also other gods are polytheists not muslims. In makkah only mushrikeen did this not muslims. This shows that these ver4ses only apply those people who do the same thing anywhere but not those who claim to be muslims because they only and only believe in allah as the only god for them.

If you ask these muslims who do things as you say, they will tell you that they do not believe in any other god save allah. On the other hand if you ask polytheists they will tell you to your face they are polytheist. The quran is therefore talking about those who are committed to shirk not those who are not committed to shirk or who are instead committed to towheed.

Just because they call on prophets and saints as prophets and saints you are calling them mushrik. That is the problem. Polytheists whoever they worship they call them gods ie they do not deny that theyu are polytheists whereas muslims deny being polytheists yet you label them mushrik.

As for verses you have quoted in support of your view, they are clearly about polytheists if you look at their contexts in the surahs as well as inth econtext of the quran.

As I explained already elsewhere, to understand the quran on a subject matter we must collect all related verse and then interpret them such that they do not contradict each other.

For exampe, some verses tell us not to allocate partnerships with allah ie the one you have quoted. I quoted that allah say faithful are my partners ie party of allah. So if shrik only means what you say then how do we square this circle? We cannot just go on making list of things what is shirk and what is not shirk, this is against the way the quran is set up an dstructured. The quran does not list haraam and halaal things individually instead it gives us a rule to apply and find out. Likewise the quran gives us the rule to define monotheism and polytheism. It does not list things that are shirk and those that are not shirk.

If the quran did not do things this way we would need montains of books because of the number of things there are in the universe. This is why allah says if seas become ink an dtrees become pens, you could never detail, the word of your lord.

The idea is same as in maths ie we are taught how to do various kinds of sums and once we learn the rules we can do any sum we will ever need to do by applying the rules we learned. otherwise if we started to do all the sums in all possible combinations then we will end up with mountains of maths books and most of them we will never need to use. Likewise the quran did not list everything because we are never going to come acoss those things ever.

22 MADINAH AL-HAJJ - THE PILGRIMAGE 103

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

[1] O mankind! be mindful of your Lord; the catastrophic tumult of the Hour of Doom will
be terrible indeed.

[2] On that Day you shall see that every nursing mother will forget her nursing-babe and every pregnant female will miscarry, and you will see people as if they are intoxicated, though they will not be drunk: such will be the horror of Allah’s chastisement.

[3] Yet there are some among people, who in their ignorance based arrogance, argue about Allah and follow every rebellious leader,

[4] though they are doomed to seduce whoever takes them as their friends and lead him to the punishment of burning agony.

[5] O mankind! If you doubt that there is life after death remember that We brought you about from the earth, then from a sperm and ovum, then from an embryo, then from foetus, partly formed and partly unformed, so that We may manifest to you Our power. We cause to remain in the womb whom We wish for an appointed term, and then We bring you forth as infants; then We nourish you so that you may reach your age of full strength. There are some of you who die young and some who live on to their abject old age when all that they once knew they know no more. You sometimes see the land dry and barren; but no sooner do We pour down rain upon it then it begins to stir and swell, putting forth every kind of beautiful growth in pairs.

[6] This is because Allah is the Reality: it is He Who gives life to the dead and it is He Who has power over everything,

[7] and this is a proof that the Hour of Doom is sure to come - there is no doubt about it; and that Allah will raise up those who are in the graves.

[8] Yet there are others among people who wrangle about Allah, though they neitherhave knowledge nor guidance, nor an enlightening Book,

[9] twisting things around in order to lead others astray from the Path of Allah - for such persons there is disgrace in this life, and on the Day of Judgment we shall make them taste the punishment of burning fire,

[10] saying: This is what you prepared and sent forth with your own hands. Rest assured that Allah is not unjust to His creatures.

[11] There are some people who worship Allah standing on the verge of faith (sometimes faith and sometimes doubt). When such a person is blessed with good fortune he is content;
but if he encounters a trial he turns back headlong; thus losing both this world and the Hereafter, which is a clear-cut loss.

[12] Then instead of Allah, he starts calling those deities who can neither harm nor help him; now that is going too far off in deviation from the Right Way.

[13] He is calling upon those who are more likely to bring harm than help; what an evil master and what an evil friend he chooses for help!

[14] As for those who believe in guidance and do good for others, Allah will admit them to gardensbeneath which the rivers flow. Surely Allah does what He wants.

[15] If anyone thinks that Allah will not help His Messenger in this world and in theHereafter, let him develop ways and means for forecasting the future as much as he can then peep into the future and see for himself whether his device can avert that which irritates him.

[16] Thus have We revealed this Qur’an in clear verses; and verily Allah givesguidance to whom He wants.

[17] Surely as for those who are true believers, the Jews, the Sabians, the Christians, the Magians and the polytheists - Allah will judge between them on the Day ofResurrection; for Allah is a witness over everything.

[18] Do you not see how all those in the heavens and the earth submit to Allah, including the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the animals, and a large number of
people, even a large number of those deserving the punishment. He who is brought low
by Allah has none who can raise him to honour; surely Allah does what He pleases.

[19] These are the two adversaries (the believers and disbelievers) who dispute with each
other about their Lord: as for the disbelievers, garments of Fire will be cut out for
them, boiling water will be poured over their heads,

[20] which will not only melt their skins but also the inner parts of their bellies,

[21] and there will be maces of iron to lash them.

[22] Whenever, in their anguish, they try to escape therefrom, they will be
forced back therein, and will be told: Taste the punishment of conflagration!

[23]As for those who have faith and do good for others, Allah will certainly admit them togardens beneath which rivers flow. They shall be decked with pearls and bracelets of gold, and their garments will be of silk.

[24] This is because during their life on earth, they were guided to accept the pure words of Allah and they were shown the Way of the All-Praiseworthy.

[25] As for those who deny and oppose our guidance and debar others from the Way of Allah and from the sacred mosque to which We have assigned all mankind with equal rights whether they are natives or foreigners, and whoever intends to deviate from righteousness to wrongdoing in its vicinity, We will make him taste a painful punishment.

[26] Remember! We identified the site of the Sacred House to Abraham, saying, belive in no other god besides Me, sanctify My House for those worshippers who make Tawaf(walking counterclockwise around it as a part of the Hajj rituals), and stand in prayer, bow, and prostrate themselves,

[27] and make a proclamation of Hajj (Pilgrimage) to mankind: they will come to you on foot and on lean camels from every distant quarter,

[28] so that they may witness the benefits which are made available here for them, and pronounce the name of Allah over the cattle which We have provided as food for them, on the appointed days, then eat meat themselves and feed the indigent and needy.

[29] Then they should accomplish their needful acts of shaving or cutting their hair and taking a bath, fulfill their vows and go for Tawaf-e-Ziyarah to theAncient House.

[30] This was the purpose for which the Ka’bah was built, and whoever honors the sacred rites of Allah, it is good for him in the sight of his Lord. The meat of cattle is lawful to you, except what has already been mentioned to you; therefore, shun the abomination of idols and shun all false statements.

[31] Dedicate yourselves to Allah and do not take any other god beside Him: for anyone who
does that, it is as though he had fallen from the sky; then his body is either snatched away by birds or carried away by the wind to some far-off place,

[32] so it is, and he who respects the Symbols of Allah, surely shows the piety of his heart.

[33]You may benefit (by using their milk) from the cattle dedicated for sacrifice, until the time of their slaughter, then their place of sacrifice is near the Ancient House.

[34]For every nation We prescribed a way of sacrifice so that they may pronounce thename of Allah over the cattle which He has given them for food, your God is oneGod; so submit yourselves to Him for Islam, and give good news to thehumble,

[35] whose minds tremble in his awe when Allah comes to their minds; who endure adversity with patience, who establish prayer and use what we have given them for the benefit of others.

[36] We have included the sacrificial camels among the Symbols of Allah, for there is much good for you in them. Therefore, pronounce the name of Allah over them while standing, and when they fall down on their sides after slaughter, then eat of their meat, feed the contented (poor who do not ask) and the beggars (poor who ask). Thus We have subjected these animals to you so that you may be grateful.

[37] It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah; it is your piety that reaches
Him. Thus, He has subjected these animals to you so that you may glorify Allah for giving you guidance, and O Prophet, give good news to those who do good to others.

[38] Surely Allah wards off evil from those who are true believers: for certainly Allah does not love anyone who is treacherous and ungrateful out of arrogance based on ignorance.

[39] Permission to fight back is hereby granted to the believers against whom war iswaged and because they are oppressed; certainly Allah has power to grant themvictory

[40] - those who have been unjustly expelled from their homes only because they said, Our Lord is Allah. Had not Allah repelled some people by the might of others, the monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which Allah’s praise is daily celebrated, would have been utterly demolished. Allah will certainly help those who help His cause; most surely Allah is Mighty, Powerful.

[41] These are the people who, if We establish them in the land, will establish prayer and attain freedom from harming others and encourage that which is of benefit for humanity and discourage that which is harmful it; even though the final decision of all affairs is in the hands of Allah.

[42] If they deny you O Muhammad, remember that before them the people of Noah, ‘Ad
and Thamud;

[43] the people of Abraham and Lot;

[44] as well as the residents of Madyan had denied their Prophets, likewise Moses was also denied. Initially, I gave respite to all those opposers of my guidance and then I seized them: see how terrible was My disapproval!

[45] How many townships, teaming with wrong doings, have We utterly destroyed! Today they lie with their roofs fallen in, their wells abandoned, and their lofty castles deserted.

[46] Have they not travelled through the land? Have they no brains to learn wisdom, or ears to hear the Truth? Certainly it is not their eyes which are blind, but it is the minds in their skulls which learn not to see sense.

[47] These people ask you to hasten the threatened punishment. Well, Allah will never go back on His promise. In fact a day of your Lord (time period in which Allah's decision is executed) is equal to a thousand years of your calculation.

[48] There have been many townships teeming with wrong doings, to whom at first I gave respite and at the end I smote them. Towards Me is the destination of all.

[49] O Muhammad, tell them: O mankind! I am merely a plain Warner to you;

[50] Those who accept the true faith and do good deeds shall be forgiven and provided
honourable sustenance;

[51] but those who strive against Our revelations, shall be the inmates of flaming fire.

[52] Never have We sent a Messenger or a prophet before you, O Muhammad, with whose objectives the leader of the wicked did not compete; but Allah made the ambitions of the wicked bite the dust thus he confirmed His own revelations, for Allah is All Knowing, All Wise.

[53] He makes ambitions of leader of the wicked just a temptation for those whose minds suffer from the disease of hypocrisy and whose minds are set against our guidance - that is why those who harm each other are in such an extreme dissension

[54] - so that those who are endowed with knowledge may realize that this Qur’an is the Truth from your Lord and thus believe in it and humble their minds towards Him, and surely Allah will guide the believers to the Straight Way.

[55] As for the opposers of our guidance, they will never cease to doubt the revelation, until the Hour ofDoom overtakes them suddenly or there comes on them the punishment of the Dayof Disaster.

[56] On that Day the Kingdom will be that of Allah’s; He will judge between them; so those who have embraced the true faith and done good deeds shall enter the gardens of delight;

[57] but the unbelievers who have denied Our revelations shall receive a disgraceful punishment.

[58] As for those who migrated for the sake of Allah and afterwards were killed or died,
Allah will make a generous provision for them; certainly Allah is the One Who is the
best Provider.

[59] He will admit them to a place with which they shall be well pleased; for Allah is All-Knowing, Most Lenient.

[60] Thus shall it be! He that retaliates equal to the infliction he received and then is wronged again, will most certainly be helped by Allah; surely Allah is the One Who is All-Forbearing, Most Forgiving.

[61] That is because it is Allah Who causes part of the earth covered by darkness of night to rotate towards the light of the sun for the day, and the day part of the earth under the light of the sun to rotate towards the darkness of the night away from the sunlight, Allah is indeed All-Hearing, Most Observing.

[62] That is because Allah is the One Who is Real; and all those deities besides Him, whom they invoke, are false; indeed it is Allah Who is the Supreme, the Great.

[63] Do you not see that Allah sends down water from the heaven so the land becomes green? Surely Allah is the Benignant, Aware.

[64] To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth; surely Allah is the One Who is the Self-sufficient, the Praiseworthy.

[65] Do you not see that Allah has made for your service all that is in the earth and the shipsthat sail through the sea by His command? He is keeping in its proper place all that is in the heaven in a way that itcannot fall down on the earth without His permission; surely Allah is very kind andmerciful to mankind.

[66] He is the One Who has given you life, will cause you to die and then will bring you back to life again - yet man is indeed an ungrateful creature.

[67] To every nation We have prescribed the rites of worship which they observe, therefore,
let them not dispute with you concerning this matter - keep calling them to the Way of your Lord; for most surely you are rightly guided.

[68] If they argue with you, say: Allah knows best all that you do.

[69] Allah will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection concerning the matters in which you differ.

[70] Do you not know that Allah is aware of all that is in heaven and the earth? Certainly all of this is recorded in a Book and it is very easy for Allah to do so.

[71] Yet they worship besides Allah those deities for which He has revealed no sanction, nor they themselves have any knowledge about them; certainly those who do what is against our guidance shall have no helper.

[72] When Our revelations are recited to them with all their clarity, you can notice a denial on the faces of the opposers. They can barely restrain themselves from assaulting those who recite Our revelations. Say to them: Shall I tell you something which is far worse than that? It is the fire of hell, which Allah has promised to those who reject the truth; what an evil abode it will be!

[73] O mankind! Here is an example for your understanding, so listen to it carefully. Thosedeities whom you call besides Allah, cannot create a single fly, even if they allcombined their forces, rather, if a fly snatches away anything from them they cannoteven get it back; how feebleminded are the suppliants and how powerless are thosewhom they supplicate!

[74] They do not render to Allah the homage due to Him; in fact, Allah is the One Who is All-Powerful, All-Mighty.

[75] Allah chooses His messengers from among the good people and for the guidance of the people, for surely Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.

[76] He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and to Allah shall all matters return for decision.

[77] O believers! Bow down, prostrate yourselves, worship your Lord and do good deeds so
that you may attain salvation.

[78] Strive in the Way of Allah as you ought to strive with sincerity and discipline; He has chosen you and has not laid upon you any hardship in the observance of your faith - the faith of your father Abraham. He named you Muslims before in prior scriptures and in this (The Qur’an), so that His Messenger bears witness to you and you yourselves may bear witness to the rest of the mankind. Therefore, establish prayer, attain freedom from doing any harm to anyone and hold fast to Allah, Who is your Protector - so what an excellent Protector and what a splendid Supporter!

@Cheeko,
I have twice before requested you to please be brief and do not bombard the thread with
kilometers long posts and that also without any sense:
Do not derail this thread this is very important issue.: your last post has the following
points:
a) your objection to the translation of verses;

@Cheeko,
I have twice before requested you to please be brief and do not bombard the thread with
kilometers long posts and that also without any sense:
Do not derail this thread this is very important issue.: your last post has the following
points:
a) your objection to the translation of verses;
b) your point of "Wasillah"
c) your point of "Intercession",
You can discuss these topics by making the relevant threads, but here please only
on "SHIRK", In any case, I shall not let you or anyone else to derail this subject.

You read first what I have answered and to what issue. I have all the right to answer what I feel he is telling wrong. Each and every point from Quran and Hadees.

I request you to stop doing wrong request. Shirk for me is to worship other than Allah or along with Allah.

You dont believe in Hadees so should I request you to stop participating in Islamic discussion. You give your point and I will give my point where necessary. Dont impose martial law and try to be dictator. This my request.

Then only discuss Shirk on this thread. If you wish to discuss "Wasilla" and "Intercession", make another
threads, I shall take air out of your baloon and that you will never quote those verses again for
the rest of your life.
I believe in what or do not believe in what. It is my business. First you come at Quran, on
Hadith I shall check your copy n paste calibre. Only my Allah knows what I believe or do not
believe, I do not need any certification from you, Do not be an accusatory, without any proof.
I am saying it loudly n clear that "People while believing in Allah, also commit Shirk" and have
a quranic verse for that. You prove me wrong. Mughal1 first maintained that it is for x,yz, what
you maintain please enlighten us.

A part of his post was wrongly interprting something which he think shirk and I answered that it not shirk and he wrongly interprting. So I all in all discussed about shirk and not shirk. I didnt post a funny comic video or break dance video of Michal Jackson. I am on topic but you are feeling envious of my knowledge. Please dont be envious I just humble man and student of knowledge. You first burst baloon of some Alim then come to me.

There was already a thread for waseela last month. Discussion proved that intercession allowed. Dont tell that you great and burst and this and that because we both nothing in front of Allah.

May Allah guide us Ameen.
