Former anti-Muslim Dutch politician converts to Islam

A former far-right Dutch politician announced on Monday that he has converted to Islam.

Writing a book on Islam changed the views of Joram van Klaveren, 39, on Islam, and he converted last October, local media reported.
Van Klaveren served as a member of parliament for the far-right Freedom Party (PVV) from 2010 to 2014.

He resigned after PVV leader Geert Wilders' racist remarks about Moroccans and set up his own party, but failed to win a seat in the 2017 national elections, and quit politics.

Van Klaveren's said during writing he came across many things "that made my view on Islam falter," he told Dutch radio.

Van Klaveren's decision follows in the footsteps of Arnoud van Doorn, another former PVV member who converted to Islam.

Van Doorn praised van Klaveren on Twitter, saying he never thought that he would see so many converts from his former party.

If condemning extremism is liberal, then there are a lot of us. IK would belong to this group as well.
Islam has a lot to offer to humanity and it is not un common to see people converting in the west.

There are alot of people on YouTube videos who change their religion like him. A lot of goras are converted to Islam, Buddhism, Sikhism, Hinduism etc

I am not a liberal but a secular Muslim. Also, this a great news; it shows how Allah chooses people to come to him and how Prophet Muhammad (SAW)'s life is an awesome example of love and peace that even his worse enemies become has fans and convert to Islam

When Aasia Bibi was charged by the court of law for the accusation of blasphemy , There was a suggestion , that if Aasia Bibi apologises to the Muslim community and converts to Islam then would she be forgiven ? It was a unanimous decision by almost all the Islamic Scholars that a person who commits blasphemy by insulting our prophet Muhammad can not be forgiven,(Even if she convers to Islam) Hence the slogan,. Gustakh-e Rasoon ki aik saza, sir ten say juda, sir ten say Juda.
Now coming back to this case
Joram van klaveren has a number of times in the past insulted our beloved prophet Muhammad PBUH. His wordings were much worse than what Aasia Bibi was accused of.
Still now if you type Joram van klaveren in Wikipedia you will find one of the insulting words he used to use to insult our Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa PBUH before he converted.

My question
He used to insult our Prophet on regular basis but and now converted and everyone is so excited around the world, Everyone has forgiven him about his blasphemy which he committed for a number of years. But the same option is not given in Pakistan by Islamic scholars toward a Gustakh-e-Rasool if he/she decides to become a Muslim.
Why Joram van klaveren should not be hanged for his blasphemy ? Why should he be forgiven after blasphemy ?
