وین کلیورن 2010ء سے 2014ء کے دوران رکن پارلیمنٹ رہے، وہ سابق سیاسی جماعت میں انتہائی مسلمان مخالف سیاستدان کے طور پر جانے جاتے تھے،انہوں اسلام اور قرآن مجید کے متعلق سخت بیانات دیئے تھے۔
اخبار کو انٹرویو دیتے ہوئے انہوں نے اسلام اور قرآن مجید کے متعلق اپنے سابقہ بیانات پر شرمندگی کا اظہار کیا اور کہا کہ وہ اس وقت غلط تھے کیونکہ یہ اس سیاسی جماعت کی پالیسی تھی اور ہر غلط فعل کو اسلام سے جوڑ دیا جاتا تھا۔
انہوں نے 2014 میں ویلڈرز کی جماعت کو اس وقت خیر باد کہا جب مراکشیوں کے خلاف ریلی نکالی اور ان کیخلاف بیانات دیے، پارٹی فار فریڈیم کو چھوڑنے کے بعد انہوں نے نئی سیاسی جماعت بنائی لیکن2017میں انتخابات میں ناکامی کے بعد انہوں نے سیاست کو خیر باد کہہ دیا۔
