There is a lack of understanding about Covid-19 among the Govt officials too. Since by way of reducing the opening hours of the markets, you are actually increasing the number of people visiting the markets per day.
e.g. in normal days, a market is open 10hrs a day and 100 people visits it. It gives off an avg of 10 ppl/hour.
now if you reduce the time of market to 5 hrs a day, then if the same 100 ppl visit the market then your average/hour will be 20ppl/hour at the market. So it means less social distancing.
So, such measures are also responsible for this situation. Where everyone rushes to the market early to get the things he require. I cannot understand the underlying logic of reducing the market opening times to reduce the rush and increase social distancing.
Rather Govt should increase the times of the market so that people may be able to visit in the late hours and ensure that they do not get too close to each other.
