I will try to explain you this.
For senate elections, 23 (14 General, 4 technocrats, 4 women and 1 minority seats) members are elected from each provinces, elected by the concern assemblies. So the senators must also be from the same province.
23 X 4= 92
FATA= 08
Capital=04
Total: 104
So as half of members are to be retired and half to be elected. So about 12 senators will be elected from each province in these elections. In KP, PTI can send about 6 senators to senate. From FATA, it may send one and 1 (I guess in this case) might be from Capital if Asad Umar vote.
From Punjab, PTI can hardly send 1 member to Senate because about 31 (372/12) votes are needed for one seat from Punjab Assembly.
From Sindh, PTI can't even send any person because about 14 (168/12) votes are needed for 1 senate seat from Sindh Assembly. If PTI combines with some other party, it can do some sort of bargaining for one seat.
So in net shell PTI can win about 6+1+1+1+1 = 10 senate seats at maximum but minimum 6 seats from KP are almost confirm.
Hope you will understand it now.
Thank you so much for explaining. I had no clue on this procedure. So can FK be elected from KPK and does she need to have KPK domicile?
