Osama violated Pak sovereignty: Kerry

ISLAMABAD: The visiting US senator John Kerry Monday said that his country understands that the issue of sovereignty is critical for Pakistan, Geo News reported.

Addressing the media here, John Kerry said Osama bin Laden’s presence in Pakistan had given rise to a number of questions.

He said it was Osama bin Laden who violated the sovereignty of Pakistan.

John Kerry said only a handful of people knew about the Abbottabad operation, so much so that even General Petraeus had no knowledge of it until the last moment. The operation had to be kept classified in view of the safety of the US soldiers, he added.

He said President Obama did not want to lose Osama and added that Pakistan and America were facing a common foe in the shape of terrorism.

Osama bin Laden was responsible for the deaths of 35,000 Pakistanis and a mastermind violence that killed 3,000 Americans, John Kerry said.

He said he apprised General Kayani and Lt General Pasha of the apprehensions of the Americans. There is a pressure for suspending Pakistan’s aid, however the projects under Kerry-Lugar Bill will continue unaffected, he added.

The US senator was of the view that Pak-US relations held great importance. Pakistan people will not be left in the lurch … long-term relations will be maintained with Pakistan, he added.

He said Pakistan had rendered supreme sacrifices in the war on terror. We cannot forget that 35,000 Pakistanis sacrificed their lives in this battle, he maintained.

John,

you are such an ignorant and uneducated person. And YET you are head of the foreign relations committee. Did you get elected because of fake degree too like AZ? The word 'sovereignty' is associated with a country and not a private person. When 1000's of Mexican crosses borders into the US, are they violating 'sovereignty'? NOT, they are violating immigration laws, entering illegally.

Quality of an American official:
1. Be a White
2. Wear expensive suite and tie
3. Carry huge brief case to impress and intimidate brown people
4. Have capacity to kill over 35,000 innocent Pakistanis, 30000 innocent Libyans etc

YES you are an American official

Sorry John, its NOT War On Terror, Its War For Terror. You create war and terror and we let you kill our 35,000.

These people are killed by Talibani suicide bombs, to make the fact right.

Where there would be no Taliban and suicide bombers.... that is Jinnah's Pakistan. Today Pakistan has become a safe den for terrorists where every mosque is praying Namaz Janaza for a terrorist like Osama.

We are back to square one as far as John Kerry's statement tells us. He talked about everything except any concern discussed in Parliament joint session. ISI chief had said that we have to decide whether to stand-up or not and Kerry has arrogantly supressed that notion. Mr. Kerry's words bore support from his meetings with President, PM and CAOS so our worst fears seem to be true that our Government as well as security apparatus, both are on same page in this regard and banana republic will continue subservient role as usual. In camera session was a joint "topi drama" as we know for sure now. God knows who has received what from Americans to bleed Pakistan. I am not really worried about the direction this country is leading to but my worst fears are about the impact of a misguided, destablized nuclear state on subcontinent and South-East Asia in coming years. A country being steered by Americans so openly can fall on any country around, like a drunk buddy.
