عمرسن خان کی حکومت جانے کے بعد نیب کا پہلا بڑا ایکشن۔ قومی احتساب بیورو نے عمران خان کی اہلیہ بشریٰ بی بی کی دوست فرح خان سے متعلق انکوائری کا آغاز کردیا۔

نیب کی جانب سے جاری اعلامیےکے مطابق انکوائری نامعلوم ذرائع آمدن اور منی لانڈرنگ کے الزامات پر کی جائےگی، ڈی جی نیب لاہور کو قانون کے مطابق کارروائی کا حکم دیا گیا ہے۔

اعلامیےکے مطابق فرح خان پر مختلف کاروبار کے نام پر بہت سے بینک اکاؤنٹس رکھنے کا الزام بھی ہے، فرح خان کے اکاؤنٹ میں گزشتہ 3 سال میں 847 ملین روپے ملے ہیں۔

نیب کا کہنا ہے کہ اتنی رقم فرح خان کے پروفائل کے مطابق نہیں ہے، یہ رقوم فرح خان کے ذاتی اکاؤنٹ میں ڈالی گئیں اور فوری نکال لی گئیں، میڈیا رپورٹس میں فرح خان پر غیر قانونی ذرائع سے اثاثے بنانے کے الزامات لگائے گئے تھے۔

نیب اعلامیے میں کہا گیا ہےکہ فرح خان کے انکم ٹیکس ریٹرنز میں ان کے اثاثے 2018 سے غیر معمولی طور پر بڑھے، اسی دوران فرح خان 9 بار امریکا اور 6 بار متحدہ عرب امارات بھی گئیں۔

بشریٰ بی بی کی دوست فرح خان رواں ماہ کے آغاز میں دبئی روانہ ہوگئی تھیں۔ ن لیگ اور پیپلز پارٹی کے رہنماؤں نے فرح خان پر ٹرانسفر، پوسٹنگ اور دیگر معاملات میں پیسے لینے کا الزام لگایا ہے۔

ادھر میڈیا رپورٹس میں کہا جا رہا ہے کہ 2018 میں عثمان بزدار وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب کے منصب پر فائز ہوئے تھے، عثمان بزدار کی تعیناتی میں فرح خان کا اہم کردار تھا۔

NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal ordered an inquiry against Farhat Shahzadi and directed Director General NAB, Lahore, Shahzad Saleem, to initiate the process as per law.

According to the NAB announcement on Thursday, huge turnover amounting to Rs847 million had been found in her account during the last three years, which did not commensurate with her stated account profile. These credits were received in her personal account and withdrawn immediately after credit within a short time period.

Various media reports alleged Farhat Shahzadi was involved in amassing assets beyond her legal means. A review of her income tax returns showed that her assets significantly increased from 2018 on-wards for unknown reasons. She visited the USA nine times and six times to the UAE during this period.

However, Farah Khan has responded to the NAB inquiry against her, saying that she will face the anti-corruption watchdog both in person and through her lawyers. "We will neither hide nor avoid investigations. We will appear before NAB’s inquiry team both in person and through our legal team," Farah said.

NAB to kick-off inquiry against Bushra Bibi’s friend Farah Khan​

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday decided to initiate an inquiry against Farah Khan, a close friend of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s spouse Bushra Bibi, after media reports suggesting massive financial embezzlements.


NAB Chairperson Justice (retd) Javaid Iqbal gave the approval for inquiry against Khan, who is also known Farah Gogi, in a high-level meeting held today, he also directed the NAB Lahore to initiate proceedings as according to law.


Farah Khan is accused of money laundering and making asset beyond means, said an official NAB spokesperson. He added that Khan has frequently travelled abroad during the previous government of Imran Khan – including nine visits each to the United States of America and United Arab Emirates.



The NAB has also alleged that as many as Rs847 million were transferred to Farah Khan’s personal account in the last three years. Khan has not yet given her version on the NAB’s statement.


Following the dissolution of the National Assembly (NA) in the wake of the no-trust move against former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Farah Khan left for Dubai in the wee hours.

Khan’s husband, Jamil Gujjar, had already left the country in the wake of the prevailing political situation of the country. According to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) sources, Farah had left for Dubai a3am on Monday.


Farah Khan has been the centre of controversy after Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz had accused her of being involved in corruption and kickbacks, particularly in transfer and postings of officials in Punjab.


Former Punjab governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar had also echoed similar claims, saying huge money was being minted for transfer and postings in Punjab.

Former chief minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar had rejected the allegations of the former governor, saying every transfer and posting was being done transparently.


On the other hand, Imran Khan’s close aide Shehbaz Gill had also rejected the allegations, saying the opposition had begun to target Bushra Bibi’s friend after they couldn’t find anything to criticize the former first lady.
