CPEC has loans for CPEC roads and port. It is not that high and it has future benefits. The actual problem is energy projects which is very very high. It is high mainly as it is in US dollars and dollar went too high last few years. We were having 18 hours of load shedding and no one else was willing to invest in Pakistan. I think we were not having any choice.

CPEC was a complete package. Rather it expanded on our typical Hawis Aur Lalach (aiye Vhi Ley Aye Vhi Ley Lo).We entered without calculating our earnings and future devaluation of PKR .
To be honest it was not doable option.
No debate was there , as stupid army chief himself involved and asked all parties to keep mouth shut.
Only resistances were from TTP n BLA .
Pakistan is paying don’t know how long it will pay. No way out.
Interests are compiling up. Works are stopped due to non payment. Actual Loan is compounding.
No one dare to predict ? We don’t want to jeopardize our relationship with China.
But these loans will be compiling up and ultimately these lenders will go to international court.

I think our biggest problem is that we trade and do all agreements in US dollar. Everything is in US dollars and we are short of dollars every year. At least China should do our agrements Yen/Pak rupees. At least yen if not Pak rupees. Our majority of import is from China and CPEC electricity projects are the biggest electricity producing projects in Pakistan. When these electricity agreements were done dollar was at 90 Rs/US dollar and it is about 230 Rs/US dollar. Same applies on our heavy imports which are highest from China. This is the real issue.

At least China should do our agrements Yen/Pak rupees. At least yen if not Pak rupees. Our majority of import is from China and CPEC electricity projects are the biggest electricity producing projects in Pakistan. When these electricity agreements were done dollar was at 90 Rs/US dollar and it is about 230 Rs/US dollar. Same applies on our heavy imports which are highest from China. This is the real issue.

How will we get yen in Pakistan? Dollars are mostly sent by overseas Pakistanis but how will you get yen into Pakistan? We don't have Pakistanis working in China nor we have huge exports to China. That's the problem of you noothiyas, only typing and typing but no logic.
