Nation needs to be taken into confidence by elected representatives, says the army chief.

Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Gen. Ashfaq Pavez Kayani said that Abbottabad operation was misreported and speculations were spread due to incomplete information.

According to ISPR, addressing the Rawalpindi, Kharian and Sialkot garrisons during his visit, the COAS said that Abbottabad operation has become the main focus of the people now and there is need to take the nation into confidence by different elected representatives.

He said that the prime minister should take briefing on the Abbottabad operation in the Parliament.

Thanks God finally he got it...................... so he gets info from media? If it was misreported by media, why didn't they corrected on the very same day.................or probably he also didn't have clue.

bcuz it was not that simple as it was reported

Put all blame on media.................... easiest way out. Why wasn't a clear-cut press release from him on the very next day?

We respect our Army but we need our chief to put all speculations off by simply telling us the reality and the truth.

We do not trust Zardari and Gilani ………… we don’t want to hear the story from their mouth. We trust our Army…………. Please tell us the truth the same way you did at the time of Kerry- Louger bill.

In British parliamentary system, its the onus of the PM to go on TV and address the nation. COAS army just stand behind him.

But if an enemy invades suddenly, it will any take time, army or civil, to assess the situation. Then they have to scan the findings and figure out which part of the news should be withheld, which part could be damaging and which part can protect the govt and the country.

It is very easy for us to sit back and criticize, but there are many many parameters in anything before airing on TV

In British parliamentary system of course it may be the case……………..but in Pakistani so-called fake parliamentary system there is not a tiny evidence that these corrupt leaders have decency to follow the norms.

So you are saying that an enemy invaded our territory???? Ha ha ha ………..I guess that happens In Canada. You got no idea maaaaan.
Its not very easy to criticize, ya ya ya………In this professional world YOU have to be proactive and not re-active. I do my job diligently and professionally that’s why I am surviving and being appreciated.

If you perform below par again and again then there is something lacking…… you got to first admit and then find ways to resolve…………. You cannot remain in fairy world and assume that the nation will as usual bail you out.

In British parlimentary system following things also happens:
1- Troops cannot buy lands for cheap prices.
2- If the army breaks the law they are punished.
3- Army cannot do even ony penny of corruption becuase then they loose all their respect.
4- If army is found of any offense over civilians, they are charged in civilian courts and punished appropriately.
5- Army donot take over governmental control whenever they like.
6- Army does not beat the crap out of civilians if they try to teach them law.
7- Army do not misuse the resources of the land.
8- Army men do not consider them selves gods of the people.

People should ask Mr KuchKyaNahin did anyone take his words seriously after his strong condemnation of drone attacks.

These folks are making a laughing stock with their stupid statements like "strongly condemning drone attacks", "radars were inactive, jammed, sleeping whatever", "we knew 15 minutes after, at the time or even before" etc.

They should accept responsibility and resign.

Unless we know the truth and the matter is solved no one should resign or let off the hook.
Once complete facts are layed out then proper steps should be taken. After the 1971 debacle Ge. Niazi was blamed and to date we do not know what happened because the Democratic government of ZAB did nor court martial the General where as Gen. Niazi kept demandingto be cort Martialled untill his death.
We do not want scape goats, we want to know what happened and also all of us who are so very vociferous in making demands should take a look inot our own GARAIBANS to check how honest and sincere we are with our responsibilities.
