Re: After 7 year gap, Pakistan Day to see military parade in full glory
Millions don't like Nawaz Shareef but celebrating national pride we have to behave like mature people, honoring the seat of our PM, no matter who is seated there on 23-03-2015.
It won't be funny if Chinese President cancels his visit at last moment but disastrous for both sides. That means it won't be cancelled as dreamed by your devilish imagination. But let us wait to see whether there is a trip in store. Chinese are known to share threats to Pakistan as threats to China and take all risks to ensure show of solidarity. The trip is all about his availability, not security concerns.
Sorry, but when national pride is used as a piggy back platform for political mileage, it dissolves into thin air. Whats immature is to expect to honor the PM, regardless of who sits there. Its a matter of shame that we had Zardari, a convicted criminal, as president for 5 years...and now Sharif as PM, who has tons of graft cases on him. Respect is earned...not purchased through PM and presidency seats.
China has already been used by our PM for ridiculous political mileage, solely to toss dust in the eyes of the public. Remember the $42 billion dollar investment Nwaz Sharif 'won' from China? Well, almost $30 billion of that has already been rejected. The remaining is subject to scrutiny as the companies offering it are blacklisted. If your angelic imagination sees Chinese president bringing the sun moon and the stars to Pakistan, then dont forget, they already tried to dump their blacklisted companies on us through farce investment agreements.
Enough of 'feel good' measures. I will respect Sharif the day he takes some meaningful measures for Pakistan. Not just political points.
