Dr israr sb marhoom is trying to pull two sides along a)the real deeni group of ulema like dr iqbal etc and b)the mullas group. In the hope that people in the mulla secter will realise more and more what pakistan was actually created for on understanding what real islam is about. He has succeeded in pulling people together from various backgrounds but people are needed to continue this work but they need to emphasis the deeni aspect more and more and at the same time need to suppress mazhabi ritualistic aspect more and more.
It is more obvious in lectures of ghulam ahmed parwez sb marhoom. The deeni ulema failed to pull crowds because the crowd needed education which they could not provide in such a short time with so limited resources. As education takes root mor and more people are going to take on the idea of islam as a deen rather than mazhab.
Surah al fatiha is a very important surah because it shows very clearly who is interpreting it in context of deen and who is interpreting it in context of mazhab. Dr israr has done two interpretations in one go. In other words he has managed to quietly inject deen in to mazhabi minds. So people who follow his lectures could now be easily directed to islam in sense of deen whereas others who have not yet realised the deeni importance of islam are very difficult to bring to idea of deen.
Islam=deen v islam=mazhab needs to be understood before muslims wake up and fight as an ummah. There is no point in existence of islam and muslims if they fail to change the nizam=ruling system. It is because freedom, justice, fairness, compassion, brotherhood, progress and prosperity is just a distance dream with out it. The quran serves no purpose if it is not used as road map for walking along the road of this world. So muslims need to think out side of their sectarian box if we are going to mean anything.
It is very important that educated people start thinking and help educate the rest of people in the ummah.
