CJP takes suo motto notice of girls kidnapping and murder case

After the report of Dunya News, CJP took suo motto notice of the kidnapping and murder case.



The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry took suo motto notice of the kidnapping, rape and murder of Sakina, an 11-year-old girl that has been pending for six years now.

The Chief Justice has asked for an explanation from the Registrar Sindh High Court as to why the case has been delayed.

The Supreme Court human rights cell declared that in the case of Sakina there had been an extraordinary delay without any reasonable grounds which is against the requirements of the justice.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan has also advised all Registrars of the High Courts and lower courts to submit a report on all the delayed cases.

Six years ago, Sakina was kidnapped from the Landhi area in Karachi after which she was raped and murdered in cold blood. Even after six years the murder trial has still not been completed.
