It is a good start to debate islam and muslims so that people could be educated about concept of islam that works. It will prove the point of view by parwez was same as that of iqbal and jinnah and that view was originally based on thoughts of sir syed.
Islam as based on the quran was never a mazhab and it will never be a mazhab. The sooner ummah gives up the idea of mazhabe islam and takes on islam as a deen the better it is for the ummah. mazhab is impossible to defend and we have seen this throughout the world. Despite all the backing by all establishments in the world atheists have defeated mazhab comprehensively. Any people who claim to be mazhabi are just loosely attached to mazhab because they either do not know alternative or they are still trying to fool others as much as they can to get the mileage out of it as much as they can.
