Logic is not the only gift that separates humans from other living being. The act of will is what makes us more intelligent. Not don't ask me what the act of will is.

You can't be more wrong in saying above and I can already see derailment of this thread when one start to discuss the basics of life. More like strawman arguments from here own.

There is no long discussion needed to know what WILL is. The power to decide between choices comes from logic/reasoning (a thought process). Animals display the action of 'choosing' but it is instinct driven rather than logic. So the WILL is just a reaction of driving factors like instinct or a strong logical thought process. The lator is what human are blessed with.

As I said, Logic has its boundaries/barriers. You can certainly prove a lot using logic. Bascially logic is:

The flower is red
Red is beautiful
So, flower is beautiful

Now for some people, red isn't beautiful. So their logic would go like this:

The flower is red
Red is ugly
So, the flower is ugly

Your point is? In both cases logic and likeness is used to come to the conclusion. There is no truth or false factor involved so what do you want to prove here?

In the same example if it was pre-established by any mean that red is good/ugly then ofcourse one of the above reasoning would be wrong. That would be better example of using logic to conclude some thing.

Similarly, logic and opinion has a thin veil as a border. That's why some people merge opinion with logic. Logic is to prove an existant thing and things that we can see, hear, sense and smell! Anything that is above our five sensory organs cannot be fathomed or understood. Our brain processes things that we can experience through our senses...!

And all this proves ghamidi is wrong? Einstein, instead of being strawman, be on point.

What you said about logic is not logic, it is perception :) So there is a huge difference between perception and logic.

So instead of perceiving things, base them on logic because the material world is all about logic and the spiritual world is perception and logic combined!

How did you manage to get accepted for 'phd in philosophy'? Regardless I see the side effects right in your arguments.

As for you saying that if one can't prove Allah that doesn't mean Allah doesn't exist.. Dude, I never said I don't believe in Allah. No human being - no matter how ardent he is in refuting God's existence, knows that logic and perception (6th sense in some definitions) prove the existence of God. Again, Iman or faith cannot be defined by logic at all. You can try that and there will people who will easily counter your argument with solid proofs.

Read again and try to comprehend what I said. Instead you are gogin on about things which I haven't said - the true strawman you are.

So Ghamdi is all logic and as far as I have 'perceived' no perception! If you can prove everything in Islam with logic, try this:

(Majmouah Hafiz ibn hajr Asqalani) Hazrat Ali has said that if I hadn't seen Prophet pbuh doing Masa on the upper part of the socks and not doing masa on the heel, I would have thought logic is all Islam!

You cannot prove with any logic that Jinnatis will see Allah with naked eye in Jinnah. That's why Mutazilis say that you will see Allah with the eye in the heart (which is absurd by logic). So Mutazilis have killed their own stuff with their own hands!

I believe that what prophet pbuh said was meant for people who were not even remotely educated. They didn't even know how to write Arabic. So Prophet pbuh is clear in his communications... What He says, He Means It.

You are really confused or just pretending to be philosopher which you are not. Stop mixing mathematical/physics logic with someone's ability to deduce and understand the truth sent down upon us. Talk about the examples in OP video and tell us how ghamidi is wrong when he says, for example, say innallilah for non-muslims is ok?

As far your Phd in Philosophy goes, it will not do you any good, if you stop applying some common sense.

If doing phd was measure of intelligence, aqal-o-fehem and shahoor then our Prophet would not have been able to convince a single person of the truth sent down to us.

Have seen lot of completely uneducated people much more sensible, visionary and well awared.

Ghamdi is from "Lahori group" , this is a sect of Qadiyanies , they consider 'ghulu- Qadiyani' as ' Mujadid' unlike other Qadiyanies who called him(ghulu) as "Masieh Maued" which means , both Imam Mahdi and Hazrat Esa in One body i.e 2 in 1

here is a tip for you all........ who ever use a lot the word "mulvi" just check him out.... why?????

because the "successor of their prophet (ghulu-qadiyani)" i mean their "khalifa" whom they call "hozoor" also use the word 'mulvi' a lot.

{their "hozoor" i mean their "khalif" went to nightclub (to see girls ) in London where he enjoy his life although their "janat" is in Pakistan.

Qadiyani are the real enemies of Pakistan because their "huzoor" who is London predicted that Pakistan will die. So it is the duty of every Qadiyani work for that .....an Example .......Mansoor Ijaz..just google him

Ghamdi is by far the best and most logical scholar we have. The author of this piece exhibits the typical hatred through his writings which is plaguing our society. Whereas Ghamdi preaches tolerance and accepts differences of opinions. He himself says that what he preaches is his interpretation based on his research and the reader/listener is free to disagree. For those who are declaring him a qadiyani remember the Quran says whoever wrongfully declares a Muslim as a non Muslim, himself is evicted from the faith. So why would you want to take that risk. Leave that to Allah. Listen to all with an open heart. Try to understand each persons perspective. And accept that people may have a different opinion/interpretations without having any malafide intentions.

We are all different human beings with different philosophies and sensibilities. Different scholars and teachers will impact and affect us in different ways. There is nothing wrong in that. Its a natural evolution. I may find Ghamdi more appealing because of the logic he gives to support all his teachings/interpretations. To some one else it may not be making sense. Nothing wrong with that. But lets accept our differences and live in peace without questioning the intentions of others and accusing them of vested interests.

you are taking it as LANGUAGE mistake??

By this FEW mistakes he is ruining Whole interpretation of Quran and causing damage to explanation of Islam and you are calling it Mistake??

a person who is doing FEW(few bcz here only few are mentioned) Mistakes in translation should not be taken seriously and should not be consider scholor of that subject simple thing
