HANGU: Eight people of the 11 kidnapped from Hangu on Monday have been rescued while the whereabouts of others are still unclear.

Hangu DSP Falak Nawaz Bangash said five people were kidnapped from Ibrahimzai on Monday by armed men. The men had been grazing their cattle when they were kidnapped at gunpoint, said Bangash. The police and locals tried to chase the kidnappers and managed to rescue two of the kidnapped shepherds.Later in the evening, six other people were abducted from outside a mosque in Shahokhel Lakki Bazaar, said the police official. The police launched a search operation for their recovery. Bangash said after a three-hour encounter between the kidnappers and the police, the six taken from Shahokhel Lakki Bazaar were rescued, but the kidnappers managed to escape.​

Meanwhile, in a joint search operation, police and security forces arrested 39 suspects and one wanted criminal.

Heavy weapons were seized from them. Thal police claimed a proclaimed offender was among the suspects.​

یہ ھیں سیاستدان جو ابھی تک لسانی سیاست کر رہیں ہیں
کیا پنجاب میں صرف پنجابی ہیں ؟
کیا خیبر پختونخوا میں صرف پٹھان رہتیں ہیں ؟
کیا انلوگوں کو اپنے معیشت ، روزگار، مہنگائی ، لاقانونیت ایڈمنسٹریشن پر بات کرتے دیکھا ھے ؟
یا سنا ہی ؟

[h=1]Murders of sikhs: Police releases sketches of suspected culprits

[/h]PESHAWAR: The police have released sketches of two young men who allegedly murdered two Sikh traders in the provincial capital in the past two months.

On September 6, 30-year-old Harjeet Singh was tending to business at his general store in Nothia Bazaar when the alleged assailants entered the shop and opened fire at him. Jagmohan Singh, a 19-year-old Sikh shopkeeper, was gunned down by unidentified assailants outside his shop in Hashtnagri on August 6.Meanwhile, three bodies were recovered from various areas of the provincial capital.According to Chamkani police, 65-year-old Rehan was abducted for ransom three months ago and his body was recovered from the Chamkani police jurisdiction. Also, the body of a 95-year-old was recovered from the same police jurisdiction , while a third corpse was found in the basement of a private hospital.​

When the going gets tough…: Private firm to take over city’s municipal services today

PESHAWAR: A private firm will take over the city’s municipal services from today. The government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) officially handed over the charge to Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar on Wednesday. The move has received criticism from opposition parties which claim local governance could have addressed management problems.

“The provincial government is committed to facilitating the public and rooting out corruption and nepotism from every government department in the province,” said Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak at a ceremony at the CM House.
Great expectations
He added if the venture is successful in Peshawar it would be introduced in other districts as well, stated a handout issued.
According to Khattak, more than 3,000 people employed at the municipal corporation were not able to ensure cleanliness in the provincial capital. Therefore the decision to outsource its management and duties to a private firm was taken by the government.
Elaborating further such plans, Khattak said the government has identified a location where they will set up a plant which can generate power from solid waste. He added the project will be initiated soon.

[h=1]Illegal obstruction: Over 1,500 occupants warned to vacate government land

MANSEHRA: To reclaim encroached government land and facilitate an extension of Karakoram Highway, notices were served to 1,500 occupants from Datta Barrier to Chattar Plain on Monday.
Following the identification of encroachment on both sides of the highway by the National Highway Authority (NHA), engineers of Mansehra district council and Mansehra tehsildar, at least 1,500 illegal occupants were issued warnings over the last three months.
The occupants have encroached upon at least two feet to 12 feet of land beyond their properties and constructed cemented structures.
In some areas, entire markets have emerged on government property and the occupants refuse to vacate the land despite warnings.
The obstruction disturbs the flow of traffic and causes accidents. Authorities had earlier demarcated 33 feet on both sides of the highway, said officials of NHA and the district council. Ziauddin, a Mansehra district council engineer, said the government has now decided to clear at least 66 feet to 120 feet of land along the highway from Datta Barrier to Chattar Plain.
During the first phase of action, the anti-encroachment squad, headed by assistant commissioner Dr Qasim Jadoon, demolished the extended portions of over a dozen shops between Datta and the Elementary College stop on Saturday.
While answering a question, Jadoon said authorities want to clear the highway of encroachment within the shortest possible time so work can start to expand the road.
As the main trade route between Pakistan and China, broadening the highway will help with more traffic. Jadoon said the encroachments will be removed without respite or discrimination.
The operation could not continue on Monday because of a mechanical fault in the machinery being used to clear the land. However, some shopkeepers vacated the encroached space voluntarily.

پرویز خٹک صاحب کی حکومت اتنی احتیاط کر رہی ھے کے تمام رواں میل سال کے فنڈز کو چوم چاٹ کر بینکوں میں ہی رکھا ھے
صرف اور صرف قانون سازی سے حکومتیں نہیں چلتیں
اس بات پر نوٹس لینی والی بات انتہائی بیہودہ ھے
کیا حکومت کو پتا نہیں کے کونسا پروجیکٹ شروع کرنا ھے اور کب شروع کرنا ھے
کیا منسٹر نسوار کھا کر سو رہیں ہیں ؟
