The quran does not discriminate between sexes as matter of principles. It sets same fundamental goals and guidelines for both men and women.

Everything is not mentioned clearly in the Quran. Many things are deduced on reason and qias and common sense. For instance Islam generally supports the leadership of the pious and good humans. In that sense if a pious and just woman is better to lead muslims in many affairs including prayer than a man who is not just or pious.

Why sensitive religious matters are posted and discussed by immature ordinary persons instead of accredited religious scholars? Majority of forum members are either naive or had no solid Islamic research. Hear say, is condemned in every way. Better, ignore /delete such threads instead going after arguments and counter arguments just to show an individuals "Wisdom" and Knowledge (Which is mostly poor).

Totally agree with you

seriously, there are bigger issues in this world...lets show some maturity and stop arguing over this..

its means i shouldn't ask this simple Question to those who calling these kind of prays would be allow Islam. if people can't think simple points then how they will think complicated one.

the point here in thread is about woman lead men pray is allow or not allow. the simple answer is "NO" if any one can prove that woman had lead men pray at time of Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). if they can't prove it then they better keep quite and not try to commit sin.

Ham ko dekhna pade ga keh jab duniya main malukiyati aur qabaaili nizaam the to us waqt musalmaan kia karte the. Makke aur madeene main musalmanoo ki zindagi islami nizaam se pehle kesi thi aur baad main kia hua.

Jab huzoor ne tajaarat ki to kia us waqt ke logoon ke set up customs ke mutaabiq nahin ki? Wohi nizaam jis ke khilaaf awaaz buland ki usi ke mutaabiq reh kar logoon ke zehn badalne ki koshish ki ta keh nizaam ko badla ja sake.

malukiyat waalun ne bhi yahi kiya keh jab tak islami nizaam mazboot raha woh log sehme rehe magar under hi under apna kaam karte rehe aur jab moqa mila khul kar saamne aa gayee aur islami nizam ki ient se ient baja di.

Aaj hamare liye bhi yahi rah hai keh islami nizaam ko samjhen aur is ko aam karen ta keh log mil kar nizaam ko badal saken. Yeh hai asal islam ke liye kaam karna. baaqi baatun se ham ko parhez se kaam lena behtar hai.

its forbidden in islam because if a woman in a SAFF with man then it will distract man and its obvious if she is not mehram or he .... and body temp of woman is 1 degree higher than man so its another scientific reason which will distract man's mind ... ... this is the short answer what i got from different ALIMs and MUFTIS here in UK (around 4)...there were lot of AHADITHs but i dont want to give reference because im not sure about there exact meanings and details about books ......

No they don't
Even if any mufti will pass an AUTHENTICATED FATWA on this FORUM for it that it's not allowed for Women to Lead a Prayer they still start this " MULLAH MOLVI NARROW MIND STUFF "
Some people just don't understand that if some one with knowledge (At least someone who has read Quran and Sunnah in detail and is eligible to give Fatwa is not a non-serious person who will just give any statement with his own mind, a Scholar / Mufti has a heavy responsibility and he knows it also very well) try to say something will be rejected by some SELF PRAISING AND I KNOW EVERY THING PHILOSOPHY PEOPLE.

And the ones making comments like THERE ARE OTHER PROBLEMS OUT THERE IN THIS WORLD don't understand that ISLAM is the only and only purpose of your life, ALLAH created HUMANS and JINS only for ABADAT. Its every person job to understand the principles and rules of ISLAM (even the minor factors also)

But people don't understand this, they just pick some few ayats regarding no knowledge about even that ayat (its context, its revelation time, its details, its background) and on the base of some few ayats make conclusions and reject those mufti and scholars point of views that has more knowledge

People don't understand the sensitivity

I'll always appreciate good things from anyone including Mirza sb and avoid bad things including those from Mirza sb if there are any. I do not follow any human blindly. .......................................................................................It's my humble opinion that sensitive religious matters should be avoided on this open forum as Non-Muslims had an equal opportunity to spark contraversy. In addition, we Muslims had different "school of thoughts" and a "Blind-faith". Why to waste our energies discussing subjects that needs an in depth knowledge with a flexable approach.

Dear friends, imaamat of women is not forbidden in the quran either directly or by any rule that could be derived from the quran.

However, I am not aware of any traditional proof that women ever led any mass jamaat in prayer.

These two points are different and neither of them proves that it is haraam in islam for a woman to lead masses in jamaat.

The points to be noted are there are many things that are not forbidden by the quran either directly or by means of the derived rules. Not only that but there is no traditional proof that ummah did those things.

Just because there is no tradition about something among the ummah does not mean it is forbidden. This is very very important point when we discuss what is lawful or unlawful. It is because clear proof is needed to prove something is unlawful in islam and that proof is not hadith reports on their own. The rules must always come from the quran as a basis for ahadith to be valid.

People need to learn how to use ahadith to support a point not just quote them without knowing the whole framework in which they are suposed to work. This is a major dispute between shias and muqallideen sunnies on one side and wahabies and salafies on the other. On this issue it is shias and muqallideen who are right and wabies, ahlal hadith and salafies etc are on the wrong side. The tawheed and shirk definition dispute should be solved as per ghair muqallideen but halaal haraam dispute must be solved as per definitioon of muqallideen. It is because these definition can be proven correct. Anything against them can be proven incorrect. Islam is there in its correct form but a part in one sect and a part in the other sect. The only way to unite ummah is to base our beliefs on proof and proving not hearsay and make belief.

Today we have muslim countries but no islamic rule of law and many muslims live in nonmuslim majority countries as people used to live in times of prophets and their followers when they lived as minorities amongst their people. The prophets and their followers lived as other people lived but worked towards establishing divine rule of law. They did not go around causing trouble. Only when enough people were convinced that divine rule must be established that they stopped supporting the rule of law as it was and sought change. If people accepted it that was fine but if they did not then they moved away from their communities and settled elsewhere where they could live by divine rule of law. The wars only broke out if people would not let them leave or would come and attack them in their new settlements.

During times of such struggles and before how did prophets and muslims live has very important lessons for us today eg how did our prophet and his companions live in makkah for 13 years before they moved to madinah? So we must answer such questions for ourselves before we could claim we understand islam. Islam before it became law of the land and islam after it became law of the land and what was it all about?

Coming to muslim men and women, please see story of Moses and daughter of a prophet was sent to call him by prophet himself all alone 28/25. Not only that but these daughters of the prophet were doing their work themselves outside the house as well where they had men also doing their own work. Read also story of prophet Joseph and see how he got on with men and women keeping his dignity intact. So interaction between sexes is not forbidden but situation and circumstances may change and therefore restriction can be brought in and relaxed as the need may dictate but only in an Islamic state. If sexual interaction creates problems for a society then for mutual interest people together should decide any action they deem necessary just like solving all other kinds of problems that face them as a community.

All the time it is very important that muslims work for betterment of all human being not just themselves or their women and children. It is because nonmuslims create troubles that muslims need to be better aware of things so that they do not let this happen to begin with but if it does they should be able to overcome troubles and not cause them. Even if troubles breakout and become too much they are advised to move away and reorganise their lives. Only if muslims see themselves being gradually trapped by nonmuslims that they should fight back because they must protect not only themselves but also other human beings from trouble makers and warmongers. How can we protect others when we are killing each other over nonissues?

regards and all the best.
