look brother or sister, first of you should know that islam is a perfect religion and you can't change or add anything in it, and secondly there are hundards of hadith, that mention about women can't lead the prayer for man, on the other hand woman can't lead man,, and you mention about mother, so my friend mother has given birth to that child that's why she can lead or teach her son about prayer.
there are many hadiths, say about that woman even can't meet the strange person. so question is that how can woman lead the congregation of the prayer for other men?????

The quran does not stop mix gatherings. Think of hajj and in time of prophet women too were attending masjid.

I have strong objections to your last few posts on this topic. I have studies Dr. Pervaiz when I was in Karachi and I use to go to their office Behind the Ghalib Library. what is your point of view regarding the Lady leading the common pray for men and women. You have not clearly mentioned your point of view yet were quick to criticize the Mullah and mullahism. Which is fine for making an academic point of view. Its also in a fashion to talk about mullah and mulookiyat. But doing something better on ground takes more than just criticism. As I gather from your postings you seems to be allianing yourself with those who advocate the new version of islam. Make your point clear.

Dear brother zaidi Qasim, there is nothing wrong with difference of opinions about things nor it is a bad thing to share ideas. We all differ with each other on various things that should not be anything surprising.

As for parwez sb marhoom, in my view his understanding of islam was better than any scholar of islam that I came across. This does not mean I agree with him 100%. To me anyone who brings about a better understnading of islam is always a better scholar even if he is opposed by most of us because not everyone has the knowldge level that one person may have reached. Nonetheless proof of the puddinbg is in the eating ie if one can back up one's claims with proof and proving then that is what goes through and the rest is just unwanted noise.

Coming to issue of imaamat of woman, I have no proof that it is unlawful. However it is not a muslim tradition either so fighting over such things may be not a good idea. It will only waste more time on an issue that is not important for ummah under current situation. If you like man to be imaam that is fine and if you like woman I can only object if I can prove otherwise. In either case all arguments end on proof and proving.

The quran does not discriminate between sexes as matter of principles. It sets same fundamental goals and guidelines for both men and women. Details are not something over which ummah should be fighting but since deconstruction of islam by rulers and their set up priestly class ummah has been derailed and has become seriously divided over things that are of no real consequence.

So it will be better for us to unite on basics and let people do as they please till they know better rather than fighting each other and wasting whatever little energy we have. All we can do is educate ourselves and help others see our points of views and see if anything sticks because only better ideas can help us understnd things better.

The reconstruction of islamic thought is going to be continued for quite some time before it is complete. So our problems is to understand that reconstruction and see if we can help accelerate it. If we opposed that reconstruction of islamic thought process then ummah will fall back in to malukiyat and mullaism trap and if we tried to move it forward then because most of us are stuck with mullaiyat we are going to have tough time moving the idea forward. Only time will tell which way is gaining momentum. Mean while pressure are building both from inside pushing out wards and from out side pushing in wards. Like a balloon size of baloon depends on atmosphric pressure inside it and outside it. Many muslims are fed up with things as they are and many are pushing one way and many the other way. Only steps in the right direction can ensure our survival and betterment.

Question still stays the same: is there verse in Holy Quran that says women cant be imam or prayer leader? I understand that you guys quoted few Hadith but thousand of Hadith are fake in Hadith books. The narrators are not authentic and links are week that leaves us with Quran. Can you please show through the prism of Quran for my knowledge.

If you are Muslim, you should know is uneducated answer. Let's talk with logic, wisdom and proofs.
