In reaction of the recommendations made by Pakistan Task Team by ICC, Pakistan submitted its reply ruling out most of the 63 recommendations. The following were the main points raised by PCB:

- Assistance from government was something a bit compulsory due to the social environment and cricket culture in Pakistan for Pakistan Cricket Board.
- President of Pakistan being patron in chief of cricket board was indeed a matter of great pride for Pakistan cricket board, so it can not be avoided.
- Pakistan Task Team did not contact Indian cricket officials even once for the iconic cricket series with India.
- Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board does not carry veto power for the selection of players and the captain of all formats.
- All responsibilities lie on the shoulders of selectors for the team selection and board does not get involve itself into it.
- Selection of Captain can not be given to selection committee.
- Audit committee can not be made independent because ICC itself does not have independent audit committee.
- Most of the recommendations have not been made on the basis of some solid reasons.
