he is referring to what is written in primary school Islamiyat book that Arab people used to slaughter each other over their camels. I guess people should study first before commenting.

I'm not sure what's wrong in his statement. Hazard Omar R.A. was one of the biggest enemies of Prophet before he accepted Islam, same goes for Khalid bin Waleed R.A. and some other prominent Muslim generals. After they accepted Islam, their mission totally changed.
