Your all points are valid including the last one that no one could stop Thieves from selling properties after Panama Leaks. But it makes little less sense for following reasons.
1: Liquid Cash is more banks is vulnerable to be confiscated by Govt. Where as to property may involve the mortgages form the banks, so Govt has to deal with the lending banks as well.

If NAB Prosecution was not able to provide any evidence, then it is not a culminating fact that Shreef's money was not ill gotten or laundered. It is the inaptness of the NAB investigation.

The reciprocal dilution would be if Shareefs could provide the money trail, matching their assets and income. A 20 to 30% loss of data/record could be substituted, even if they could provide a convincing evidence that the money spent in buying those properties indeed originated from their income generation, which, in any case can be supported through documents and/or witness.

So, this judgement is not about declaring Shareefs as clean, but only declares that they had a muk muka with the NAB investigation team as well, who could not gather and submit the required evidence in the court of law.

Of course, our judiciary has a ranking in the world for a reason.
