I think we seriously lack critical thought process in our societies and we do not work on our critical thinking skills. It was deliberately suppressed by imperialism in our societies and even though actual imperialism has gone, we remain slave to it.

The only way to break free from this mindset is to not to accept anything without examining it properly. imamat is a full time job.... the mosques must be regulated under local body system at council level... where people will pay council tax from which mosques and other relgious instituions are funded with permission from people of the area.... currently in my area within walking minutes of 5.... i have 5 mosques.. some people say mashaAllah to this ..i pity on this... there shud have been only 1 mosque so its filled more easily with namazis rather than having 5.... and the worst part is.... each mosque is linked to a sect... 1 is barelvis.. 1 is green pagri dudes with a small mazar of i dont knw who...... 1 deobandi... 1 wahabis .. and the 5th one im no sure.. never been to that....... and except 1 or 2.. most khutbas criticize other mosques...

there shud have been one mosque irrespective of sect.... any one following any way of offering prayers can become an imam i.e. if muslism he can be an imam be it shite or barelvis or deobandi... and people behind him may choose to do rafayedein or not... cross their hands or wht ever their way of praying is..

my commets are irrespective of musharraf or zardari.. local body is esssential in any form of democracy.. and when u say locals living shud decide..... locals of a council select their councillors..... so regardless if govt of the province is PPP or PML(N).. local counciloor can be of MQM or PTI or any small party which wud represent the people rifght athe lowest level..

وَإِنَّ مِنْهُمْ لَفَرِيقًا يَلْوُونَ أَلْسِنَتَهُم بِالْكِتَابِ لِتَحْسَبُوهُ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ اللَّـهِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ اللَّـهِ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّـهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٧٨﴾ مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَن يُؤْتِيَهُ اللَّـهُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ كُونُوا عِبَادًا لِّي مِن دُونِ اللَّـهِ وَلَـٰكِن كُونُوا رَبَّانِيِّينَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تُعَلِّمُونَ الْكِتَابَ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَدْرُسُونَ ﴿٧٩﴾ وَلَا يَأْمُرَكُمْ أَن تَتَّخِذُوا الْمَلَائِكَةَ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ أَرْبَابًا ۗأَيَأْمُرُكُم بِالْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ ﴿٨٠﴾


اوربے شک ان میں سے ایک جماعت ہے کہ کتاب کو زبان مروڑ کر پڑھتے ہیں تاکہ تم یہ خیال کرو کہ وہ کتاب میں سے ہے حالانکہ وہ کتاب میں سے نہیں ہے اوروہ کہتے ہیں کہ الله کے ہاں سے ہے حالانکہ وہ الله کے ہاں سے نہیں ہے اور الله پر جان بوجھ کر جھوٹ بولتے ہیں (٧٨) کسی انسان کے لیے یہ جائز نہیں ہے کہ الله اسے کتاب اور حکمت اور نبوت عطا فرمائے پھر وہ لوگوں سے یہ کہے کہ الله کو چھوڑ کر میرے بندے ہو جاؤ لیکن کہے گا کہ تم لوگ الله والے بن جاؤ اس لیے کہ تم الله کی کتاب سکھاتے ہو اوراس واسطے کہ تم پڑھتے ہو (٧٩) اورنہ یہ جائز ہے کہ تمہیں حکم کرے کہ تم فرشتوں اور نبیوں کو رب بنا لو کیا وہ تمہیں کفر سکھائے گا بعد اس کے کہ تم مسلمان ہو چکے ہو (٨٠)

And verily, among them is a party who distort the Book with their tongues (as they read), so that you may think it is from the Book, but it is not from the Book, and they say: "This is from Allah," but it is not from Allah; and they speak a lie against Allah while they know it. (78) It is not (possible) for any human being to whom Allah has given the Book and Al-Hukma (the knowledge and understanding of the laws of religion, etc.) and Prophethood to say to the people: "Be my worshippers rather than Allah's." On the contrary (he would say): "Be you Rabbaniyun (learned men of religion who practise what they know and also preach others), because you are teaching the Book, and you are studying it." (79) Nor would he order you to take angels and Prophets for lords (gods). Would he order you to disbelieve after you have submitted to Allah's Will? (Tafsir At-Tabari). (80)

my commets are irrespective of musharraf or zardari.. local body is esssential in any form of democracy.. and when u say locals living shud decide..... locals of a council select their councillors..... so regardless if govt of the province is PPP or PML(N).. local counciloor can be of MQM or PTI or any small party which wud represent the people rifght athe lowest level..

From the locals, I only meant the elders of a mohalla who may decide devoid of any politics . . . . Local councilor is a political appointment which came into power through corruption . . . . and by the way the parties in power at the top have the representatives at the councilor level . . . .

now what do u mean by elders??? 50+ 60+ 18+.... elders in my muhalla dnt have a clue wht they are talking abt.... except for some ... they are not frm todays fast information overflowing generation.... i fail to understand this elder logic.... its impractical and a total fantasy... and u cannot get politics out.. its human nature... councilor will be a political appointee selected by the locals them selves... so if that political councilor is corrupt.. then the locals are corrupt too.... simple...
