SUFI MUSIC ----- Whats the reality?

Dear brother read the full serah of The Prophet(pbuh), you will find once he puts his fingures in his ears bcaz some music (sound of bansuri/pipe) was coming into his ears. Music without any doubt is haram. Pork is haram eating that with honey will not make it right. Prasing Allah or His Prophet with music will not make music halal. All these Qawals, look at their appearances and match their appearances with the appearance of The Prophet (pbuh) and his followers. Go deeper find out their daily activities and compare those with the prophet and his followers and think clearing and do not fall into a trap set by shitan.

I dont know which music you tell that he dont like. You telling without reference. Dont tell man made things and tell Quran and then Hadees.

In Quran there is no place where music is haram. In Hadees music for merry making with alcohol and illegal sex is haram which was common pastime of preislamic arabs just like today some Pakistani mujras but music with duff for correct purpose is halal. There was no tabla in those times so how can it be haram. That instrument was not invented those times. Duff is a percussion instrument like tabla and first read clasification of different types of musical instruments.

Still Sufi music is used for healing the soul and anything that is used for healing anybody physical or spiritual becomes halal if its forbidden you know. Say, "I do not find within that which was revealed to me [anything] forbidden to one who would eat it unless it be a dead animal or blood spilled out or the flesh of swine - for indeed, it is impure - or it be [that slaughtered in] disobedience, dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], then indeed, your Lord is Forgiving and Merciful." [6:145]

He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit] - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful [16:115]

It is proven in science that music is good for healing the soul and psychological problems and also autism.

"The Messenger (pbuh) of Allah (SWT) said, "Some people of my Ummah will drink wine, calling it by other than its real name, merriment will be made for them through the playing of musical instruments and the singing of lady singers. Allah will cleave the earth under them and turn others into monkeys and swines.

Narrated Abu Amir or Abu Malik Al Ashari that he heard the Prophet saying, "From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful. And there will be some people who will stay near the side of a mountain and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, 'Return to us tomorrow.' Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection."

However there are some Ahadith which indicate that music is permissible if for good purpose

One of them said, ‘Among us is a Prophet who knows what will happen tomorrow.’ On that the Prophet said, ‘Leave this (saying) and keep on saying the verses which you had been saying before.’

Hassan ibn Thabit was a famous Sahabi who used to recite poems in praise like Hamd and Naat.

Dear friends, sufism in its proper sense is a philosophy that answers the real question ie ultimate origin of creation.

In religious texts we are told that all creation is created by ultimate cause ie god. The next question is how did god create it?

Since there was nothing before god and that he is all prevailing always, where does and how does creation fit in to all this?

One cannot answer this question or you are in trouble.

Let me put it in another way. Let say there is a room and in this room there is some one who is fully fitted into it ie there is no room in there for anyone or anything else so if we say that some one else has also come into that room then question arises, how?

The only possible answer is wahidatul wajood ie that there is nothing in the room other than what was already there so whatever appears to be the others is mere an elusion. It is all about singularity of ultimate existence or being.

This is where towheed and shirk boundary can no longer exist. It is a very troubling thought process and has been discussed by humanity for ever. Therefore when sufies try to speak out to explain the ultimate reality they are taken as kufaar and some have been put to death especially by mawlanas who have set the bound that none is alowed to talk about ultimate reality.

As for music, the issue is same as having statues and pictures or dogs. The quran is very clear. Picture are allowed because the prophet solomon had them made for him by those who worked for him to build the temple. They made for him pictures and statues. There is no verse in the quran telling us that that is wrong. Th eonly thing quran stop us from is making these things for worshiping them eg the way saamri made calf in absence of moses despite aaron tellingb them not to do so.

LIkewise having dogs is not forbidden in islam because because ashabe kahf had one and the quran allows hunting dogs etc. There is again no verse in the quran forbidding having dogs. All we can say is that dog are not allowed for wrong reasons eg to make them fight and betting on them as is usual. So the story of music. Th equran does not forbid it and tells us how prophet david used to enjoy singing hyms with music. Hindus use music and so do chrisitans in their worship, showing us clearly that that religious use of music is not forbidden. This is why soofies used it as well. Asd for ahadith, we are told the girls used to sing and dance with musical instrument eg daff in particular. So to come up with fatwas for music being haraam seems absurd in light of such facts.

Islam as I already explained is not a religion of intructive laws but guidance for purposeful laws for the good of humanity as an organised insitution or a society.

People who write fatwas, many of them may not even know what they are doing and why. It is just sheepish behaviour. Only bad things that cause more harm to society than good are forbiden in islam.

In short islam is as wise as wisdom can be so there is no place in islam for narrow mindedness if you like. However it is time we learned islam ourselves or remain puppets of halwa adicted mullahs regardlkess we like it or not.

You either have to be wise or have plenty of halwah to see the mullahs' jalvah, choice is all your own.

Narrated Urwa on the authority of Aisha

On the days of Mina, (11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah) Abu Bakr came to her while two young girls were beating the tambourine (daff) and the Prophet was lying covered with his clothes. Abu Bakr scolded them. The Prophet uncovered his face and said to Abu Bakr, "Leave them, for these days are the days of 'Id and the days of Mina.

“After the consummation of my marriage, the Prophet came and sat on my bed as far from me as you are sitting now, and our little girls started beating the tambourines (daff) and reciting elegiac verses mourning my father, who had been killed in the battle of Badr. One of them said, ‘Among us is a Prophet who knows what will happen tomorrow.’ On that the Prophet said, ‘Leave this (saying) and keep on saying the verses which you had been saying before.’

Hassan ibn Thabit was a famous Sahabi who used to recite poems in praise like Hamd and Naat.

Its not important what i think or believe, say for argument, if you agree with me will not get you in Junnah and this is true in general. Unless we are all on the same belief which was taught to us by the prophet(pbuh) and the belief of his followers who are declared Janati by Allah (swt) in the QUran.
There is no short cut and please be patient and listen and verfiy yourself from the Quran and Sunnah and donot fall in the propagarda like wahabi, Ahle-Hadees etc etc. At the end of he day we are going to meet our Lord and there is no come back to correct our beliefs.

The issue of whether a salah is valid or not if a muslim fails to read Sana'h and Tawooz in salah, this again is not present in any hadith its an issue of Fiqh. Ghair muqalids follow an Imam [rah] in this case as well inspite of the fact that its no where in any hadith.
