SHIRK: Asking somebody for help or protection, believing that person has divine power

Is this Music and Poetry allowed in Islam?
You also tell that democracy is shirk. You want me to discuss about some qawali. You are filled with hatred for world and word shirk is taken by you for your own satisfaction of blaming every one mushrik. I dont understand the Panjabi so you translate then I tell if it allowed or not.

Let me translate only the first line of this poetry which is enough to show the glimpse of the SHIRK in this poetry :

Panjabi line : ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? ?? ???? ????

Urdu Translation: "?? ???? ???? ???? ???? ??? ????"

Where as a Muslim says : "?? ???? ???? ???? ???? ??? ????"

When we say to somebody "?? ???? ????" or "
???? ????? ???? ???? ??? ????" we intend to say "may Allah keep you safe from any hazard, accident or unforeseen loss". OLNY Allah has that divine power to protect someone from an accident or unforeseen loss . If somebody believe that someone other than Allah also have that divine power (Nauzobilla) then that person is committing SHIRK.When somebody arranges for a bodyguard (e.g., Zaid) to protect someone (e.g.,tahir ul qadri) , and Zaid is equipped with weapon and/or skill to be able to protect him, in case of an attack. If it is said that "Zaid you are resposible to keep tahir ul qadri safe", then there is no SHIRK since Zaid has means to try to protect tahir ul qadri.

The poet in this poetry is doing SHIRK by believing that
tahir ul qadri has a divine power to protect him (Nauzobilla). It is very obvious that the poet does not intend to say in his poetry that "tahir ul qadri arrange a bodyguard to keep me safe" ("???? ??????? ???? ??? ???? ???? ?? ?????? ?? ??" ).

Now Please read the following hadeeth rom Sahih Bukhari:

Malik al-Ashja'i reported: We, nine, eight or seven men, were in the company of the Messenger of Allah (??? ???? ???? ????) and he (??? ???? ???? ????) said: Why don't you pledge allegiance to the Messenger of Allah? -while we had recently pledged allegiance. So we said: Messenger of Allah (??? ???? ???? ????), we have already pledged allegiance to you (??? ???? ???? ????). He (??? ???? ???? ????) again said: Why don't you pledge allegiance to the Messenger of Allah? And we said: Messenger of Allah (??? ???? ???? ????), we have already pledged allegiance to you. He again said: Why don't you pledge allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (??? ???? ???? ????)? We stretched our hands and said: Messenger of Allah (??? ???? ???? ????). we have already pledged allegiance to you. Now tell (on what things) should we pledge allegiance to you. He (??? ???? ???? ????) said I (You must pledge allegiance) that you would worship Allah only and would not associate with Him anything, (and observe) five prayers, and obey- (and he said one thing in an undertone) -that you would not beg people of anything. (And as a consequence of that) I saw that some of these people did not ask anyone to pick up the whip for them if it fell down. (Sahih Muslim Book #005, Hadith #2270)

The lesson (from the point of view of topic under discussion) learned from this hadeeth is that Prophet Muhammad (??? ???? ???? ????) took pledge from his companians (??????? ??????? ????????) that they would not associate with Allah anything (SHIRK) and that they would not beg people of anything. The companion of Prophet Muhammad knew that SHIRK is such a worst sin that there is no forgiveness for this sin (SHIRK) from Allah and as a consequences they (??????? ??????? ????????) were so careful and afraid of Allah that they did not ask anyone to pick up the whip for them if it fell down. Obviously it is not a SHIRK to ask someone to help picking a whip, but this Hadeeth shows the extra carefulness of the companion of prophet Muhammad (??????? ??????? ????????) trying not to involve in form of activity where there is slightest doubt of SHIRK.

May Allah give hidayat to this Umma and open their hearts to be able to understand the truth (Aameen)

When was the first time you heard that, Islam need to be Baptisted? the word ""Islam khatray main hay"""Yah log sub kafir hay"... Mullah pointing towards other muslim... ?

When was your Next door Playground converted to an Mosque.. ?
Is it OK to pray in Mosque... forcibly converted to places of worship?

Shirk my Dear .. is praying in all those mosque that stands on Govt or Public property.
Shirk stands for desolating what was respect and love for others.
Shirk is nothing but a metaphor for what evil we desire to stand between Allah and one on self esteem.

Translation of only first line that you tell is no shirk. They are telling that their sheikh keeps them in protection. A sheikh keep in protection by telling right and Islamic rules. They can go to wrong path because they are not sheikh and dont know full Islam but their sheikh tell them right thing about Allah and Islam. It is in that sense I think and if they think that Tahir will protect them instead of Allah Nauzobillah then that is shirk. But I think this is not what they praising as they are not using the word worship. You have to ask these question to Tahirs people and they will answer you better. I can only judge from what I see or hear.

If somebody tell that army keeps protection from India then is it shirk. It is clear that after Allah it is army that give protection.

I can easily understand but because you hate every one so you tell every thing shirk. I am laughing at your jokings. I you want to reply then reply on that thread.

Thank you brother, but I state the verse again that says that all mindoonillah will end up in hell along their worshippers. I also gave links to other explanations and they agree that mindoonillah means idols that polytheists worship as gods. They too exclude godly persons eg prophets, angels etc.

(Your referred verses are addressed to people who disbelieve (Kufer, Kafaroo). And of course Kafreen and what they worship mindoonallah will
be hell fire. Please Try to understand difference between Kafaroo people who have been addressed and Mushriks. or show me the verse
where the nouns are Mushraykeen believing in Allah and Quran says that their mindoonallah will be thrown in fire. Your are mixing things)

I also made the point that people who believe jesus is god or his son are not called mushrik but kafir in all the relevant verses in the quran.

Allah defends his people against accusations of their worshippers instead of telling us look I am going to throw all of you in hell to show you I am god. Instead when it comes to that allah excludes his folks from thenlist of those bound for hell. These are very stange patterns in the quran and they must have reason to be so, don't you think so? It is on this basis I am excluding godly from the list of mindoonillah or there is definiley a contradiction in the quran as the link given above shows.

So you need to clarify your stance on why you think all who are worshipped as gods are mindoonillah and how can then be excluding from the list of those bound for hell fire? Don't you think that removing contradictory interpretation is more importan than what you suggest?

(There is no contradiction. It is your invention because you fail to understand and differentiate between two type of categories:
a) Disbelievers (Kafreen) worshiping Idols they are going to be thrown into fire.
b) Believers-cum-Mushraykeen , who worshiped Saints, Peers, Godly People, Prophets, Angels etc, only the worshipers will face the hell fire not the
one who were worshiped. Those personalities will disown them.


This is my original reason for asking you that you need to explain your stance on definition of shirk bewcause I already done that for my stance.
My definition has already been given in my previous posts, you can check it there, I stand by that word by word

There is no point in talking about daigs and kissing and calling as separate issues rathe rthey are all bundle of same problem ie your strange definition of shirk that has no bounds.

Creed=set of beliefs not set of actions. For actions to have any meaning beliefs must be in place and intentions must be there. THis is where you are making serious mistakes. You are trying to turn things up side down which is absurd and impossible to do and none has been able to do it.

You are accusing people of committing shirk because they do certain things rather than trying to understand what they believe and therefore do what they do with those intentions in their heads. You do not accept their reason you are trying to impose your reason on them.

Would you like me to call you a mushrik when you are passing by a mandir, accusing you for being their because you wanted to worship the idols? Of course you would hate me doing that so please realise that you have no ground to stand on.

You can never prove no matter what merely from the actions alone disregarding beliefs and intentions that people are doing shirk. The whole humanity believes things this way ie if you believe in islamic creed then and only then you are a muslim regardless you perform any deeds are not.

Try and understand that shirk is sin but not all sins are necessarily shirk. Shirk is kufar but not all kufar is shirk. Beliefs are beliefs and deeds are deeds. No matter what you cannot mix them or you confuse yourself and confuse others. Absurdities have no bounds.

My brotherly advice for you and others like you wil be to stop talkingand start thinking and putting things togethjer and do not stop till all pieces of jigsaw fit together nicely. So have good rest and waste not your time in condemning others because of your wrong understanding of definition of shirk. Try to be as logical as possible. Let things flow naturally and see what happens.

I hope this helps you towards proper understanding of islam and quran ie accept commonly accepted defintions of terms stop redifining already well defined things against the rest of humanity. Otherwise you will be on your own speaking only to yourself for creationg your independent language differernt from the rest.

baat khatam ho gaee itni bahas krnay ki kia zurorat hay yaar..lammay lammay thread bana k bahs krna aur reader se yeh tawaqqa rakhna k wo aik aik lafz parhay ga mera nahi khayal k yeh physible hay.. yahan hr sect ka shirk k baray men different opinion hay aur koi bhi convince hota nazar nahi aata so its better to save your time and do something else rather then bahas on shirk..

Cheeko bhai, No matter how much you try to convince Wahabis using Ayats of the Noble Quran and Ahadees, they will stick to their ideology. For them, everthing is this world is Biddat and Shirk. Their interpretation of Islam and Quran is correct and people who dont agree with their doctrine are Mushrik and Kaafir. Some go to the extent of declaring them Wajib-ul-Qatl and start slaughtering people. Their brothers and friends are shedding Khoon-e-Nahaq all over the world in the name of Islam and have NO drop of shame left in their blood. Saying Happy New year to Christian brothers is Shirk. Eid-e-Milaad-un-Nabi is Shirk. Reciting Naat is Shirk. Congratulating other non-muslim brothers on their relgious occasions is also Shirk and Biddat. I wonder why they travel in cars instead of the backs of camels. Its very clear in the Quran that a Shaheed is alive. So calling intercession through a Shaheed Shirk is beyond understanding. The man is this video was a biased Wahabi molvi. His followers shed of a lot of Khoon-e-Nahaq and did a lot of fasaad in the land. Now, he will be answerable for all of that as its all due to his beautiful and peaceful teachings during which he didnt think even once that he was using Mimbar-e-Rasool for hate-mongering. Everyone knows that.

The questions are:

a) Whether we should take what have been done by other past people with regard
to Quran, as "Final" and "Sanad", or we should also with the passage of time
should exert over Quran. (That means that the commandament of Quran regarding
pondering at its verse was only meant for those period people or it is
for every age)

b) There is no "Tafsir" written and compiled at the time of Prophet(pbuh), all the tafsirs
written are hundreds of years latter and were written according to the choice of the writers. No
one claim that these tafsiris have been written direct under Vahee.

The choice for the reader, therefore, is whether to stick to what Moulana Jullundri, etc etc, or Pickthall or
Yusuf Ali etc etc. etc. have written or he/she may also dig into. Unfortunately people are very shy to approach
Quran at their own due to reasons that they have been made "frightened/discouraged" by the "monopolist
groups" that One has to cross the oceans of things before even considering to understand
Quran. and also what x,y,z, for the last 1300 years have written its final.
This is the point were I, as my own, refute them and say that "Quran is for Linaas and
it is going to be for Linaas, it is easy and everyone can understand". People, Lakeer kay faqeer,
do not wish to swallow this approach. And they do not have any justification of its either.

Dear brother the post was necesaary to let you know that you need to base your arguments on a set of proper rules as a foundation.

We are not here to waste our time in tit for tat arguments but to get some sense of things in their proper perspective and context.

The quran on its own has no basis. The only reason the quran is acceptable as word of god is because it is based upon universally accepted unchallengable foundation that is there due to human intellect and experience. The very foundation that gives the quran the legitimacy as word of god cannot be ignored when we interpret it.

You simply cannot quote a verse and willy nilly claim this is what you think it means independent of any other supporting evidence from the foundational sources.

You tell me where is the sense if we just interpret each and every verse the way we like it if we cannot show its firm foudation in human experience and knowledge?

The quran was revealed in a language that was already known to a people ie it was not the quran that teach them the language. A language has to exist already if a meesage has to be sent in it.

So if arabs did not learn their language from the quran then what makes you think that they learned various definitons of the existing terms eg like towheed, shirk, ilhaad etc from the quran? This is the link in the chain of understanding the quran that you are missing.

The quran builds all its arguments on basis of what was already there ie the language and its words and their definitions. Tell me which person at the time said shirk can happen by way of actions rather than beliefs? There is no evidence for any such thing at all and there cannot be because people already were that much sensible that towheed only means belief in one GOD. This is true monotheism ie there is none like unto him because he is ever lasting and ever powrful. If anyone has any existence or power whatsoever it is because of him not despite of him. Therefore this does not allow such silly interpretation of the verses in the quran as your are trying to bring on.

You cannot be a mushrik by calling on others because calling on others is mere an act that needs intention and belief for its proper definiton. This is what makes your interpretation and ideas senseless and silly.

You must prove me wrong in these basic rules of common sense only then we can discuss the verses of the quran that are based on these rules.

The quran cannot be understood properly till one accepts points like these as basis for its proper understanding.

I hope my dear bother this makes my point yet more clearer for you. Again I do not like to sound pedantic but unfortunately all this needed to be said. I hope you will forgive me for that. For verses you asked are listed in post no 177 or see 5/72-3

Surah 17 AL-ISRA–The journey from one way/system of life to another

Proclaim in the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful

1] Sovereign is He alone in this universe Who took on a journey His messenger during a period of darkness of ignorance in order to enlighten him about the nature of the forbidden institution that is harmful and destructive for mankind in order to bring about the institution that is sublime, in which We have placed prosperity for mankind so that We show him some of Our guidelines in action, surely His Lord is all hearing and all seeing.

2] For the same purpose We gave Moses the book and made it a guidance for the children of Israel saying, never adopt any other way of life for your security than the one recommended for you by Me.

3] You are descendents of those whom We brought onboard with Noah for establishing Our rule and he indeed proved himself a man worth the name.

4] Besides this We forewarned the children of Israel in the book that you will cause wars in the land twice by grossly rebelling against Our rule transgressing against humanity and suffer the consequences in time for that.

5] When the event for the first of the two warnings became fulfilled We let rise against you some of Our mighty warriors (The Assyrians) who rampaged through your institutions turning them upside down about which you were warned already.

6] Then after this We afforded you an opportunity to overcome their harm and destruction by helping you through prosperity based upon Our provided foundations and that is how We granted you more manpower.

7] So whatever you the people did as per Our program to benefit each other it was for your own benefit as a community but if you did any harm to each other, it only proved harmful and destructive for yourselves as a community. Likewise when you gave up abiding by Our rule the second time and Our second warning became fulfilled, We let rise another fighting force (Romans) to undermine your harmful and destructive ambitious goals and to penetrate your institution as the former had entered it before, and they utterly destroyed all that they laid their hands on.

8] Now your Lord can again grant you peace and prosperity through His blissful program for you through this messenger but if you repeat the same behaviour then We too will let the same consequences take place because We have set up the system that painful suffering will engulf such as do not abide by Our advice and become dignified people.

9] Surely this Quran guides mankind to the way of life which is firmly founded because it is a manifesto of progress and prosperity for those who will commit to working for peace according to it such as will act to remove rifts and divisions from between mankind that is why there is this great reward for them the life of peace and prosperity.

10] On the other hand it gives most severe warnings to those who do not commit to working for peace for the better end goal that they will end up in a terrible painful suffering the choice of which We have already allowed them to create for themselves.

11] So mankind should rely upon way of life whereby they benefit each other instead of relying upon a way of life whereby they end up inflicting harm and destruction upon each other out of rivalries. However mankind go for harming and destroying each other for quick personal gains at the expense of human brotherhood.

12] Just as We allowed mankind choice between brotherhood and animosity so We brought about the phenomena of the night (like darkness of ignorance or dark days of poverty) and the day (like light of knowledge or bright days of progress and prosperity) as two markers. By night We cover things under darkness and by day we bring things under light to be visible, so that you could seek your livelihood as provision by your Lord, and so that you could compute the years and estimate times for your other activities. That is how We explained all essential things in all necessary detail.

13] That is how We have linked the destiny of whole of mankind to its own effort, so if mankind fail to abide by Our program then on the day of uprising We bring out for it result of its actions open for all to see,

14] So take a good look at results your actions. Today you are sufficient to take yourself to task for what you did given the freedom, guidance and the provisions.

15] So only a nations that seeks guidance is guided for its own benefit but any that ignores guidance therefore strays does so to its own loss. No accountable nation is held liable for responsibility of another and We never let any nation suffer pain till We have sent forth a messenger to them and they ignore him that end up in painful suffering.

16] Whenever We intend to leave a township to destroy itself it is only because We send Our guidance to its rulers and priests who are living easy lives at the expense of their masses so they demonstrate their inconsistency with Our guidance and as a result Our warning fulfils for them that is how We let that township fall to the ground by way of revolts by its suffering masses.

17] Behold! How many generations have We let destroy themselves this way since the time of Noah? Sufficiently efficient is universal law of your Lord in showing results of actions of His subjects to them demonstrating His ability to see and deal with all affairs.

18] He who works for quick personal gain at the expense of his human community We readily grant him such things as We please to whoever works for that and We leave him on the road to state of painful suffering wherein he remains disgraced and rejected by rest of his community.

19] He who works for long term gain for better end of his community, the endeavour of every such person leads to dignified community life because it is such people who in actual fact work for peace among mankind.

20] Thus We bestow on all fruits of their actions – those who do not follow Our program as well as those who do- out of the provision of your Lord as bounties of your Lord are not confined to any person or nation but are there for all to benefit from.

21] See how We let some communities rise above others in this life due to what people themselves do, certainly the division to come are going to be yet greater.

22] So take no other ruler than Allah lest you the mankind become isolated from each other and stuck in poverty and trapped in this situation for good.

23] This is why your Lord has decreed that you should not live by rule of any other than Allah and you should be so kind to your parents that if one or both of them live to their old age in your lifetime then you should not say to them any word of contempt nor rebuke them and you should address them affectionately.

24] You should lower your wings to them out of compassion and thus express through your actions the advice of your Lord for them as well as rely upon laws reminding yourself that that is how they fulfilled their responsibilities to me when I was a little child.

25] Your Lord makes known to others your motives in your minds through your actions. So if you act to remove rifts between people for reconciliation between them for fostering good relationship then surely He brings it about again and again because He alone is protector of mankind through His program.

26] Therefore carry out your responsibilities towards each other faithfully by fulfilling the rights of each other as a settled community and as a people on a journey towards settlement and do not take away rights of each other through transgression as you will end up destroyed.

27] Surely those who transgress limits set by Allah they are supporters of the leadership that is harmful and destructive for the community life and surely the harmful and destructive leadership has always opposed the program of your Lord.

28] But even if you the supporters of the program have to move away from such people as are harmful and destructive for community life to establish the program of your Lord as you are directed for it yet explain to them the program the way it sinks in their minds.

29] In any case you should neither cut off your ties with your opponents nor become so accommodating that you end up blameworthy and totally trapped in their way of life.

30] Surely your Lord gives prosperity in abundance to a people who work according to His program and He limits it for those who do not work for it according to His program and He is fully aware of His subjects about their motives and actions.

31] So you have no reason to kill your children for fear of poverty because it is We who have provide sustenance with Our program for them as well as for you. Surely killing them for this reason is indication of seriously wrong set up and direction of a society against the guidance of Allah.

32] That is why you the mankind should never distort Our program through adulteration with other ways of life that are harmful and destructive because that is worst way to live by.

33] Moreover you should never take a life because taking of it is strictly forbidden by Allah unless it is taken for ensuring peace and justice in the community. If any life is taken unjustly then We grant the right of fair retribution to its community so let not the community fail in carrying out the justice properly in case of murder. The human community will surely find this law helpful.

34] Furthermore you the community should never handle the affairs regarding individuals but for bringing about betterment of the individuals so that the community as a whole could grow strong reach maturity. Therefore always fulfil your agreements between you the community members because otherwise questions will arise about purpose of agreements and community and so you the community will end up disintegrated.

35] So follow the set up measures faithfully when you have to judge things by Our standard that is firmly balanced. This is the best way to live by and it will prove to be the best to the end.

36] Moreover you should never support anything about which you have no firm knowledge rather ability of hearing and capacity of understanding as well as faculty of thinking all of these should be put under use for their set purpose before you decide to back up anything.

37] You should never think of ruling the earth through arrogance because you can neither rent the earth asunder nor can you be as big as the mountains. So manage it sensibly for the good of humanity.

38] All of the stated prohibitions are unlawful for you because they are seriously harmful and destructive for you the mankind and are hateful in the sight of your Lord.

39] This is but a part of the wisdom which your Lord has revealed to you. So take not any rulers other than Allah lest you end up in hell of your own making, full of accusations against each other and rejected by each other stuck in the rut.

40] Say, think about it that could your Lord base you the mankind on the solid principles the while He Himself took for His mission the missionaries who were weaklings? Indeed you are expressing a huge error in your judgement by not supporting His program.

41] They do this despite the fact that We explained things in various ways in this Quran so that they could use the guidance and correct their errors thereby have a great life the while it lasts yet it has only added to their aversion.

42] Say, think about it that if there were other rulers in this universe than Allah as they claim, they would have certainly tried to find a way to dethrone the Ruler of this universe.

43] Sovereignty belongs to Him alone and He is free of things they attribute to Him.

44] Strive very hard for fulfilment of His program all the numerous far away galaxies as well as this galaxy and whatever is between them. There is not a single thing but reflects His glory its own way though you are not even bothered to understand the ways they manifest His sovereignty but He has surely been persistent protector of humanity.

45] Yet when you proclaim the Quran among the people, We let remain between you and the chiefs and priests and their blind supporters who do not commit to working for peace for the better end of the human community a barrier they put up due to their arrogance and ignorance.

46] That is how We let this barrier be an obstacle for their minds so they fail to understand the message properly because in their hearing of the message is a defect to begin with, so when you refer to your Lord through the Quran about His program for Oneness of the human community under His rule they turn their backs in disgust.

47] We make evident to you why the chiefs and the priests and their supporters come to listen to you reciting the Quran when they come to listen to you as well as We let you know what they say when they converse with each other in private after hearing the message you convey to them. These opposers of Our program say to one another, surely you are listening to a man who is plotting conspiracy against us.

48] See what sort of deduction they conjure up from the message you tell them? They surely distort the purpose of the message as they have not bothered to listen the message properly to find out the proper way to live their lives.

49] This is why some of them say, as a people we have become totally disintegrated and decomposed by internal warfare can we really then become a community worth the name again?

50] Tell them, yes you people can be transformed into a human community worth the name even if you have become many groups or have no solid criterion as a foundation

51] or constructive mannerism regarding which there is gross lack of sense in your minds. They further say, who is there to restore us to dignified life? Say, The One Who raised you the mankind to dignity originally the first time. Yet they turn their heads towards you and ask, if what you tell us is really going to happen then tell us when will this happen? Say, it can happen quite soon but only if you work very hard towards it.

52] It can happen the day you are called upon to install the constitution of Allah in the land for the good of mankind and you respond by establishing His sovereignty in the land and that is how you will come to realise you have been living but very limited lives.

53] Moreover tell supporters of My program that they should say to each other what is constructive and beneficial. Surely the harmful and destructive leadership that is opponent of My mission always looks for chances to stirs up trouble among them. The fact is, the leadership that opposes My mission is self evidently enemy of mankind.

54] Your Lord makes it known to you the messenger out of His concern for you the people so that if any of you wish you could follow His program and end up in blissful life or if any of you choose then stay away from His program and end up in hell of your own making. We have not sent you to be their keeper.

55] Your Lord is fully aware of all those who occupy high positions of power as well as those down trodden. This is why We have raised some of the prophets with more rights and responsibilities than the others therefore We gave David the Zaboor to deal with chiefs and priests and their supporters within his appointed jurisdiction.

56] Say, rely upon rule of those whom you assume to be the sovereigns other than Allah but the truth is they have no power to remove your troubles nor even the sense to comprehend them and change things for the better for you.

57] Those upon whom the masses rely for removal of their problems as sovereigns themselves seek the ways and means from their Lord as to which of them can lead them according to His program to blissful life because they fear that if they fail to follow His program they themselves will end up in hell of their own creating. Surely the painful suffering your Lord warned you against is something to take serious notice of.

58] There is not a township wherein chiefs and priests work against Our guidance but We let it destroy itself completely by making it face the uprising by its masses or let it suffer the terrible agony it brings upon itself as a result of its own actions, that has been made clear in all Our scriptures.

59] Yet nothing stopped us from sending our revelations for guidance of mankind, not even the opposing mindset and attitude of past generations who denied them. We sent the law to the people of Thamud to open their eyes as to how they should live but they worked against it. We send the revelations only so that people pay attention to them and learn to abide by them in order to save themselves from their self created troubles and to lead them to peace and prosperity.

60] Remember, We told you that program of your Lord caters for needs of mankind comprehensively so there is no escape for them from the plan of Allah for them. We made Our vision clear in the Quran about the great future of mankind which We shared with you just as a goal for mankind to struggle towards by putting up struggle against harmful and destructive forces and elements. We draw their attention to Our this plan but it only increases their opposition to it due to their own arrogance by their lack of interest in learning.

61] Recall the occasion when We said to the chiefs of people in the land at the time, support Adam as the chief administrator in the land appointed by Allah. They all submitted except Iblees, who replied, should I support the one whom You have brought forth from lowly down trodden classes?

62] Then he asked, is this the one whom You have honoured instead of me when he does not really deserve it because I am better than him? If you give me time just till the day they take over their office, I will certainly show you some of them are not worthy of the offices you put them in by uprooting all of his official colleagues save a minority.

63] Allah said, you carry on going your way, in time you and any who follow your way all of you are bound to face results of your own actions in form of painful suffering, a fitting reward for terrible actions.

64] So lead to harm and destruction whoever you can with your speech and muster against them all your cavalry and infantry thereby take away their rights to their things and even their children and promise them whatever you wish. However the harmful and destructive leadership can promise nothing other than false sense of security.

65] Therefore as for My people who support My program, you cannot make fool of them because they know you have no solid foundation to stand upon. That is because your Lord has set laws to govern all affairs.

66] It is your Lord O mankind Who has set laws to drive your ships across the ocean so that you could seek His bounty thereby, He is ever there to lead you to peace and prosperity by His program for you.

67] Even when any adversity strikes you at sea all those upon whom you rely let you down save Him, yet when He brings you safely to the land you turn your backs on His program for you. Surely man is ever neglectful of His advice therefore he get in to all sorts of troubles.

68] Are you confident that due to your ignoring of His program He will not let the land from underneath your feet be taken over by those who deserve land better than you to have it, or let a tyrant take over you due to that? Then you will not find anyone to protect you.

69] Or, are you confident that when again you go back to sea He will not let you be smitten with a violent tempest and be drowned due to your unworthy mindset and attitude? If that happens then you will not find any who can really blame Us regarding this end of yours.

70] It is We who dignified children of Adam by blessing them with conveyances on the land and in the sea and provided them with beneficial things and gave them right of proper use over many of Our creatures.

71] The time is coming when We will call upon every community along with their respective leadership and each of the nations will be given its copy of Our constitution so that it stays on the right side of Our given law. That is how they should follow Our given constitution so that they are not faced with terrible consequences even to a least degree.

72] But those who will play blind with Our constitution and remain neglectful to the end will lose the proper way to live ending up in painful suffering.

73] It is such people who try to entice you to lead you away from that which We reveal to you, hoping that you fabricate something in Our name. Had you done that, they would have made you their very close friend.

74] Had We not firmly placed you upon solid foundation then you might have inclined to make some compromise with them.

75] In such a case We would have left you to suffer double the suffering in this life by losing what you have and not gaining what you went for and in the life in hereafter as well. Then you would have found no supporter to help you against Us.

76] That is how they tried their utmost to drive you out of this ideological basis as well as physically out of this land to expel you from it for good. Had they succeeded in doing so then they themselves could not have survived as a people much longer after you due to the situation they had created for themselves because of their harmful and destructive actions against each other due to their harmful and destructive mindsets and attitudes against each other.

77] This has been always Our course of action as a rule with regards to people of those messengers whom We sent before you and you will find no change in Our rule that We let people destroy each other out of rivalries and animosities if they refuse to live by Our advice as a brotherhood of mankind.

78] Therefore strive very hard from the sunrise till the evening to install Our system and thus bring about Quran based new era. Surely Quran based new era will come about soon for all to see.

79] For making that to happen it is important that you work extra during the night to plan things for executing them during the day. That is how your Lord will raise you the people to a status that is truly dignified or glorious.

80] Therefore say, my Lord let me commence the struggle for installing the system that is truly beneficial for the mankind and thereby get me out of the system that is in actual fact harmful and destructive for humanity towards the system that is in actual fact beneficial for the mankind and thereby grant me from Yourself irrefutable proof that supports my claim to Your messengership.

81] Thus let mankind know that the truth has come and the falsehood has vanished because falsehood by its very nature is bound to perish.

82] That is because We have sent the Quran which is a repair manual for humanity to rescue it from damage it has caused to itself, a program for prosperity for those who will commit to working for peace, yet nothing will increase for those who will work against this program but loss after loss.

83] Mankind is strange in its behaviour that when We bestow Our favours upon man in form of provisions and guidance, he avoids it and does as he pleases but when it results in harming him, he gives himself up to despair instead of trying Our advice.

84] Say, every individual and every nation acts according to its disposition not thinking beyond itself outside its own environment despite your Lord making people aware through His revelations and results of their own actions as to who is acting properly and is on the guided path and who is acting otherwise.

85] They question you about the purpose of revelation. Tell them, the revelation is a program of my Lord for your guidance and that is because you have been given only a limited knowledge when you are born therefore it helps you see the full picture and where you fit in it.

86] Had we so planned We could have kept away from you the people that which We have revealed for your guidance then you could not find any to convince Us for sending you Our guidance.

87] But your Lord instead decided to bless you with this wisdom of your Lord, surely His grant of guidance is of a huge value for you.

88] Say, even if all those who oppose Our guidance and their leaders combined their resources to produce the like of this Quran, they would never be able to compose the like thereof even if they backed up each other as best as they could.

89] In this Quran We have used every kind of method necessary to make the people understand the message yet majority of them persist in opposing it and denying its benefits to themselves and others

90] and say, we will not accept this message of yours O Muhammad unless you cause a spring to gush forth from the earth for us,

91] or unless you produce a garden for yourself of date-palms and grapes and you cause rivers to flow in it,

92] or unless you cause some divine destruction to befall us in bits about which you warn us or you enforce the rule of Allah with help of divine missionaries before our very eyes,

93] or produce a house made with gold for yourself or you ascend in to the heaven– but we will not accept your this ascendance in to heaven unless you bring down to us a book that we can read. Say to them, sovereignty only belongs to my Lord so its His program that should know instead of making your own senseless demands for miracles. Have I ever claimed to you the people to be anything more than a human being assigned messenger-ship by Allah?

94] And what silliest excuse prevented ignorant masses from accepting Our program when it came to them other than their objection, why Allah has sent an ordinary human being like ourselves as His messenger?

95] Say, had there been living in the earth the creatures like the ones you imagine for divine messengership then We would have sent them a creature of their own kind as their heavenly Messenger.

96] Say, sufficient is testimony of Allah as a proof to decide the matter between me and you. Surely He hears and sees all that His subjects need.

97] That is why whoever learns enough to see the need for guidance of Allah he is guided by Him and any who goes the other way he will never find any supporter other than Him. This is why We gather such people together on the day of uprising against their ways of life, which they follow like blind, dumb and deaf that lead them to hell of their own making. We let them increase the fierceness of their fire of hatred between themselves till they have had enough therefore repent and reform or perish.

98] Thus We let people face the results of their own actions because they reject and oppose Our program that calls them to blissful life therefore in despair some ask themselves, when we have disintegrated and have become decomposed as community, could we be revived to blissful life of dignity again as a new human community?

99] Do they not see that Allah is so wise and powerful that He alone has evolved all the heavenly bodies including this earth so He has power and wisdom to evolves towards betterment even likes of them because He has set up a period of time for them in which there is no doubt they will be raised to dignity even though the arrogant and the ignorant among them carry on nothing but transgression against each other?

100] Say, even if you had all the treasures of my Lord at your disposal you will still hold them back from using them for the benefit of the mankind fearing their reduction due to your harmful and destructive mindset and attitude towards each other. Man is ever so stingy so he must change his mindset and attitude!

101] That is the reason We gave Moses nine distinct Surahs=lectures as lessons for his people when he came to them, ask the children of Israel. And Pharaoh said, O Moses! I think you are taken over by some clever plan against us.

102] Moses replied, I think you can know the truth very clearly if you want that no one except the Lord of the heavens and the earth has sent down these revelations as eye-openers and O Pharaoh, I think that if you fail to give the due attention to these revelations then you are doomed for destruction the way you people are carrying on.

103] However Pharaoh decided to drive Moses and his people out from their stance and place so We let him destroy himself and all who were with him by hands of each other as is Our set rule for all the nations.

104] That is how thereafter We made it possible for the ideological and biological children of Israel to settle down back in the same land and that is how in time there came the time for fulfilment of Our another promise to you the people for which We gathered you together among communities.

105] So to fulfil that promise We have revealed this Quran and that is the purpose it came for. So O messenger, We have not sent you but to deliver the promised blissful program and the warning that failing to follow it will result in serious consequences for the mankind.

106] For that reason We have divided the Quran into sections so that you O messenger deliver the program to the mankind in steps and that is why We reveal it through you to them in stages.

107] Say O mankind, it is up to you to commit to working for peace according to it or not to commit to working for peace. Indeed those who were bestowed with similar revealed knowledge before it when it is proclaimed before them they are overwhelmed by it therefore they accept it true

108] and that is why they declare, sovereignty surely belongs to our Lord alone! The promise of Our Lord has been fulfilled indeed.

109] They are influenced so much that they are overcome by its awesome information therefore tears run down their eyes due to increase in their recognition of it.

110] Say, it matters not you call Him Allah or you call Him Rahmaan because by whichever name you call Him all the good names like the ones you are told are for Him. The main thing is that you do not go overboard in your community network building responsibility nor take it lightly but seek a middle way.

111] That is how you should proclaim, sovereignty only belongs to Allah Who has no begotten son to succeed Him nor has He any partnership with anyone in the sovereignty of this Kingdom and there is none more powerful than Him to humble Him, so accept His greatness and establish His great Kingdom on the earth for the good of the mankind.

"I have thought that none will ask me about it before you as I know your longing for the (learning of) Hadiths. The luckiest person who will have my intercession on the Day of Resurrection will be the one who said sincerely from the bottom of his heart "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah." And 'Umar bin 'Abdul 'Aziz wrote to Abu Bakr bin Hazm, "Look for the knowledge of Hadith and get it written, as I am afraid that religious knowledge will vanish and the religious learned men will pass away (die). Do not accept anything save the Hadiths of the Prophet. Circulate knowledge and teach the ignorant, for knowledge does not vanish except when it is kept secretly (to oneself)." (Book #3, Hadith #98)

Since when youve become privy to the intentions and hidden motives of other individuals and in this case with regards to the predilections of the great Dr Israr Sahab? He quoted a Hadith from the Sahih Sitta collection of Tirmidhi and if you and others consider it to hold some dubious character that pertains to its authenticity then why do we (Including the Hadith critics and scholars as well) hold that collection in such high prestige and honour as compare to other reliable Hadith compendiums? We have to forsake these negative and hypocritical tendencies when it comes to our dealing of these branches of Islamic sciences. Either we should not term any other collection of work, which involves the efforts of mortal men, besides the holy message of Quran as infallible, the most authentic, complete and indisputable or else we have to become a hyper cynical sceptic in relation to these scholarly collections of Islamic sciences.

Different versions of a single event is not unusual, this happens very often, and it is not necessary that all Hadeeth are available in all books.

Quoting Hadeeth is not a mistake, the blunder is that a Hadeeth is presented as Personal Statement of Dr Israr Ahmed to promote vandalism.

If you think with care it was a mistake. specially when you know that what could be the result
as i said Hadith is there for the same Ayath with totally different incident so why to quote something that is doubtfull and would create distress among men

They recited (the words of incantation) before him, whereupon he said: I do not see any harm (in it), so he who amongst you is competent to do good to his brother should do that. The only reason the quran is acceptable as word of god is because it is based upon universally accepted unchallengable foundation that is there due to human intellect and experience. The very foundation that gives the quran the legitimacy as word of god cannot be ignored when we interpret it.

In surah ikhlaas there is comprehesive definition of towheed ie allah is god, he is only one of his kind. No family ever lasting in all his qualities therefore none is like unto him.

In surah al kafiroon shirk is likewise made clear ie worshiping other as gods beliving that they have the qualities that have been described in al ikhlaas.

So it is very clear what shirk means therefore calling muslims mushrik because of their certain wrong actions is wrong. They could be senseless or at most haraam neither kufar nor even shirk.

Similarities in acts does not define nature of being. For example, a donkey eats and a person also eats so act of eating does not make a donkey human any more than it makes a human a donkey. Likewise an act like that of worship of allah if done for someone else does not make the actor muskrik because the actor does not take the one for whom he acts as his god. Even one maes a sajda to other than allah it will be only haraam kari not kufar or shirk.

I am also wondering about the handle you have chosen for yourself ie BAABA DEENA, father of religion, is that not shrk in your view according to your own definition? Just a thought. Or is that because you think you are father of knowledge of religion? Or are you trying to say that you are an old man with knowledge of religion? This again will be shirk according to your own definiton of shirk because it shows arrogance and show off, does it not?

Asd for me, I am interested in unity of ummah and I do not like people creating divisions on willy nilly grounds, Caling people kaafir and mushrik is a major reason for division in ummah therefore kindly help by not using such terms out of their proper context. If you read about muhammad bin abdul wahab you wil see how far he went in this matter and how much blood he shed of muslims because of his ignorance of islam.

Shah waliallah muhaddis dehlavi became infected with similar idea and brought wahabism india. He repented later but his grandson ismail dehlavi remained of that mindset till he died. Shah abdul qadir, shah rafi uddeen, shah abdul azeez were his three sons and they did a great job on translating the quran in urdu and abdul azeez wrote tafseere azizi in persian. Deobandies also had a bit of infulence from that. Ahlal hadith and salafies etc are infected by this ideology even today and are cause of great problem.

Wahabism suited nonmuslims the most to create divisions between muslims in present times and recent past so that they could isolate kindom of saudia and its wealth could be kept away from muslims at large even within the kingdom.

Just as taleban were created by enemies of islam so wahabies were created by them. This is why there baseless beleifs must be challenged at every opportunity to weaken there effect on islam and muslims. Your ideas are very close to their beliefs so please do be careful that you are not under the influence of their literature in the name of islamic knowledge. It is anti islam. I personally do not like some of what some of brevalies, deobandies or shias do in the name of islam but their main beliefs are intact, this is not the case with wahabies. Their main difference is definition of towheed and shirk. This is attack right at the very heart of islam. If one could cause division in muslims on basis of definition of towheed and shirk then islam is finished. This is why it is wrong to take this division lightly for a muslim.

It is obvious that each surah of the quran is named precisely for a set purpose. It is not a random occurrence of a word that is just picked up and used to label a chapter. In other words one will see that the quran chooses a word for title of a surah then rest of the surah explains why it is named with a particular word from different angles. Exactly like word ISLAM. The whole quran explains what it is in different respects.

This surah likewise is not named KAHF just because some people took refuge in a place but what was the reason that made them do that. It was divide between people or the difference of ideology which created distance between them. One people thought they had right to use and abuse people at will and the others told them you are not doing things the right way.

The surah starts with program for elimination of this gulf then which people took steps to eliminate gulf between people.

Surah 18 AL-KAHF The Sociopolitical, Socioeconomic & Religious gulf between mankind


Proclaim in the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

[1] that sovereignty belongs to Allah alone Who has revealed to His messenger a purpose--bound comprehensive book for spreading the message of peace among mankind in which He left no room for people to live in tensions and dissensions due to their make beliefs.

[2] It is a message that is a firm foundation for life of peace and prosperity for mankind with warning from Him about terrible consequences if it is ignored and that is how thereby He gives news of blissful life to those who will commit to working for peace such as work hard to remove rifts from among people to unite them, surely for them is a great benefit in all this

[3] which they will enjoy for as long as they live if they keep up with its maintenance.

[4] Moreover He also warns those who claim, Allah has begotten a son.

[5] They have no proof for it nor did their forefathers, this is a grossly damaging claim for unity of mankind that comes out of their mouths. They state nothing but a lie to cause baseless divisions.

[6] By the look of it you are driving yourself to death through stress by worrying about them as to what will happen to them if they commit not to working for peace according to this message.

[7] The fact is We have equipped the earth nicely with all kinds of things for serving the needs and wants of people including Our guidance to help them struggle through for higher goal in order to let them demonstrate which of them does what is beneficial for the mankind.

[8] That is how We produced things on the earth in simple form to let them develop gradually through tiny steps to higher state of existence through interaction.

[9] So instead of stressing over behaviour of ignorant people what do you think about the party of those people who took refuge in a valley surrounded by mountains to save themselves from persecution due to Our scripture because of their such behaviour they became part of Our wonderful lessons for generations to come?

[10] At the time families of those mostly young people took refuge in the valley saying, our Lord, grant us blissful life through Your scripture and thus enable us to fulfil our mission properly.

[11] So We isolated them from those who were after them for a number of years in the valley to develop according to Our program,

[12] that is how We raised them above their enemies to demonstrate which of the two parties could best account for the time they spent apart from each other.

[13] We are telling you their story for a set purpose. They were mostly young people who committed to working for peace for the mission of their Lord because We raised in them better understanding of Our guidance towards which they worked.

[14] That is how We raised courage in their minds so that they rise up and declare among their people, our sustainer is only He Who sustains the heavens and the earth so we should not live by or accept rule of any other claimant of sovereignty than His in this kingdom because if we do, we will be inflicting a great harm upon each other as a community.

[15] These people of ours have taken for rulers other than Him. If they have any right to do that then why don’t they put forth any convincing proof of their sovereignty? Who is more harmful and destructive for humanity than the one who denies sovereignty of Allah by attributing sovereignty to others in His kingdom?

[16] They had already decided to leave their people to settle elsewhere if they refused to heed them saying to each other, let us leave these people after denouncing the claims of those who claim and accept sovereignty for others than Allah and take refuge in some remote place away from them, your Lord will shower you with his blessings through working according to His blissful program, that is how He will help you fulfil your mission.

[17] If you looked at the sun the while in the valley surrounded by mountains, it would appear to you that the rising sun declined to the right of their valley and as it is setting it passed them on the left, that is wherein they lived in a wide open space in between. This is one of the many lessons from Allah. He who accepts guidance of Allah is guided alright but he whom He lets go his own way you will find no guide to lead him to the path that is proper.

[18] Moreover you will find them fully alert and on their guard even though they were at peace in order to continuously maintain that peace and prosperity. That is how We made them more resourceful from their enemies spreading them on their right and on their left sides and that is how their hard work brought them to the threshold of success. If you people dropped in upon them to check them out, you would turn back and run from them because you will be overcome by their awe due to their fighting skills and preparations.

[19] That powerful was their state of existence to which we raised them through Our program from the state in which they were so that they could keep a check on their opposers to ensure peaceful and prosperous existence. At length a party of their elders said to their youngsters, how long have you people been living in this valley? They said, we have been here for a long period of time or a good part of it. They said, your Lord knows exactly how long you people have been living here but think about when did you last send any envoys to other people to find out about them and call them to the way of Allah, so let a party of you be sent on a fact finding mission to the mother city of the kingdom we came from with this message of yours, and let it find out who has fared better we or those people we left behind so bring us some useful piece of information about this people so that we could judge the situation. Let the group conduct its affairs with caution and let it not behave in a way whereby others become alert of our presence among them and take us as their enemies.

[20] Because if they discover you among them, they will stone you to death or force you to live by their traditions and customs and in that case you will never attain peace and prosperity.

[21] But that is why We let their message keep on spreading among their people after they left them so that they come to know that the promise of Allah is true and that there is no doubt about the coming of the moment of sudden uprising if people fail to take Our advice seriously. At length after they left them the people of the township began arguing among themselves about their mission therefore some suggested, let us make them the basis and build our society upon their foundation because it was their Lord that taught them. The people who were able to fulfil this task among them said, let us build according to them a proper institution.

[22] Now some say, the institutions put in place by them were three and the forth one was for their training or to keep a watch over the rest of their institutions. The others say, the institutions put in place by them were five and the sixth one was for their training or monitoring the functioning of their other institutions, and there are still others who say, the institutions put in place by them were seven and the eighth one was for their training or monitoring their rest of institutions to keep them in line. Say, my Lord Alone makes known their number none but a few really know their purpose. So do not argue about their number but their purpose that is obvious and that is why you do not need any verdict about them from any of those who argue about them without understanding the purpose.

[23] Nor put off your task about anything that should be handled straightaway thinking I will certainly do it tomorrow

[24] unless it is in accordance with program of Allah! That is how you should demonstrate glory of your Lord for people to see unless you forget but even then express hope that my Lord will guide me ever closer to what is proper way of handling the affairs.

[25] As for the length of time the generations of people of the valley spent in isolation, they remained separate from their community for three hundred plus nine years.

[26] Tell your people, Allah makes known period of their isolation because He is the One Who makes known for mankind the secrets of the heavens and the earth therefore understand things through His vision and do things according to His guidance! Your people must come to realise that they have no refuge other than following His set laws because He does not allow anyone share in sovereignty of His kingdom.

[27] Remain consistent with what has been revealed to you of the book of your Lord, none has the power to change His Words and you will find no refuge to protect you from harmful mindset and destructive attitude save His guidance that stops you from harmful beliefs and destructive actions against each other.

[28] So O you the individual, keep yourself working hard along with those who rely upon set out universal laws of their Lord morning till evening seeking fulfilment of His set out goal for them therefore let not your eyes turn away from them desiring the attractions of worldly life against Our guidance. Moreover never favour such whose mind is free from paying attention to Our set out goals and guidelines for mankind and follows his own make beliefs therefore breaks all bounds that benefit humanity while conducting his affairs.

[29] Therefore make it clear to all that this Quran serves the purpose of proof from your Lord for what is true and what is false and what is right and what is wrong, so let him who commits to working for peace do so for his own benefit and let him who commits to working for wars do so towards his own destruction. For such as inflict harm and destruction upon each other We have put in place the rule of consequences so in time they are bound to end up in fire of hatred whose flames will surround them like the walls of a tent. As this stage will arrive they will look for freedom from this situation because the consequences of their actions against each other will submerge them fully into harm and destruction. What a dreadful way to learn the lesson and what a terrible way to live.

[30] That is why those who commit to working for peace work hard to remove dissentions among mankind so We do not let go to waste their efforts instead We reward them with better rewards than the best of their deeds in form of improved world order.

[31] They are the ones for whom there will be kingdoms like the Gardens of Eden wherein will flow things of their need and desire like rivers. Thus therein they will be surrounded with things of value and they will be covered in prosperity all year round as if they are covered by clothes made of green silk that shines. That is the high level of dignity they will rise to, what an excellent reward for such people and what a beautiful way they will live.

[32] Share with people this parable in order to help people understand the difference between two ways of life. Once there were two people with two different mindsets and attitudes. To one of them We had given two gardens of grapevines surrounded with palm-trees and put between them land for cultivating crops.

[33] Each of those gardens yielded abundant produce and neither failed to yield its best because We had caused a river to flow between the two gardens.

[34] Because he had abundant produce he said to his fellow man while arguing with him, I am much richer than you and my clan is much mightier than yours.

[35] He had his mindset and attitude based upon rivalry rather than brotherhood so having thus based himself wrongly as regard his outlook on life he entered his garden and said, I do not think that this garden will ever perish

[36] nor do I think the moment will arrive in my life when I am weak and poor and even if I should be referred for judgment according to standard of my Lord, I should be given better than what I already have.

[37] His fellow man replied his argument by saying to him, do you disregard advice of Allah Who brought you about like plants from the earth due to seed and fashioned you into a proper human being?

[38] As far as I am concerned, Allah is the only one Who is my sustainer so I do not live by rule of anyone in His kingdom than His own rule.

[39] So what prevents you from expressing yourself according to that which fulfils program of Allah when you enter your garden, after all none has the power other than Allah! Though you see me lesser than yourself in wealth and children

[40] yet my Lord may enable me to have a garden better than yours and let thunderbolts from sky fall upon your garden turning it into a barren wasteland.

[41] Or its water may dry out and you are unable to find it.

[42] In time it so happened that all his fruit produce was destroyed and the vines tumbled down upon their trellises so he wrung his hands with grief for all that hard work he had put in this was lost. He cried regretting, I wish I had not lived in opposition to the rule of my Lord against concept of community life.

[43] All that because he was against teachings of Allah for helping others despite being unable to avert catastrophe all by himself but then when bad time came for him he could not find help other than from Allah through his community.

[44] It was then that he realized that the real protection comes only from program of Allah for mankind. Working together as a single family according to His program brings best results because it brings abundant prosperity.

[45] O messenger, explain for those who live aimless lives by an example about life of this world. It is like the vegetation of the earth that flourishes with the rain from the heaven but afterwards the same vegetation turns into dry stubble which is blown away by the winds. However living by program of Allah gives mankind power over everything because Allah has set up laws for governing affairs of all things.

[46] The wealth and children are only a short lived attraction for life in this world unless dissensions and rifts are kept at bay among mankind because that prolongs life that is greatly rewarding according to your Lord and acts as foundation bringing hope for better future.

[47] So O mankind, prepare yourselves for the time of that kind of life so that We help you remove the people in positions of power who keep others down through creating divisions so that you could see the socio-political and socio-economic landscape evened out throughout the world. That is how in time We will unite mankind all together as a single community under Our rule leaving not a single person on his own.

[48] Thus they all will be brought under rule of your Lord according to program of your Lord fully organised in classified sections for administration purposes and so it will be made known to them, you have returned to Our rule as We set you up at the beginning yet you assumed that We will not fulfil to you Our this promise.

[49] That is how the rule by the book will be established and you will see those who commit crimes against masses (the people in positions of power) in great terror because of what is in Our book. That is why they will say, bad news for us, what kind of book is this? It left out not a thing needed for mankind to live a beneficial life whether small or large but all is accounted for yet we ignored it! They will find results of all that they did against the book before their very eyes because Your Lord is never unjust to anyone.

[50] Call to mind the time when We said to the chiefs in the land, support Adam as your chief administrator, so all accepted his appointment except Iblees who was one of the elite classes and chose to disregard the commandment of his Lord. Will you then take him and his ilk as your leaders to protect you rather than Me even though they are your enemies? What a bad substitute the opposers of Our guidance have chosen!

[51] I did not call them to witness the creation of the heavens and the earth, nor their own creation, nor do I take those who lead mankind away from My guidance as My supporters.

[52] On the day Our rule becomes established it will be said to them, call on those for help whom you assumed to be My partners in sovereignty of this kingdom. They will call them but will receive no answer. That is how We let animosity arise and increase between them because of harm and destruction they inflict upon each other.

[53] The criminals will see the fire of hatred they themselves have been igniting and realize that they are going to fall victim to it and going to be consumed by it but will find no way to escape.

[54] We have given all kinds of examples in this Qur’an to make the people understand this message yet mankind is exceedingly contentious.

[55] However nothing should stop people from committing to working for peace now that guidance of their Lord has come to them for their protection and prosperity unless they wait for the similar fate that overtook the people of the past or unless they wish to see themselves in terrible painful suffering before they before they realise the truth of this message.

[56] We send Our messengers only to proclaim good news for those who will do good for others and to deliver warnings to those who inflict harm and destruction upon each other but with self defeating arguments the opposers of Our guidance seek to defeat this truth and that is how they take Our set out goals and guidelines and warnings for them for a laugh.

[57] Who is more harmful and destructive than the one who when reminded of the guidelines of his Lord, turns away from them in order to hide what harms his own hands have done to others? We let their arrogance based ignorance be the veil over their minds because they do not bother to understand this Quran and so they have become heedless. Call them all you like towards Our guidance, they will never be guided because they will keep on ignoring Our guidance.

[58] Your Lord is protector of mankind because He is Lord of blissful program for them. Had He seized people instantly for their wrong doings against each other then He would have hastened their consequences without any respite but instead He has set up a respite time after which they can find no refuge.

[59] All those nations whom We let destroy themselves for their own wrongdoings to each other were given respite and a period of time for their own salvation or destruction.

[60] Call to mind when Moses said to his party of supporters, I will not give up making effort until I unite two masses of people fighting each other even if I have to spend ages on this journey.

[61] At last when they reached unity between them both, the length/condition of their life increased/improved as a united community that set itself on a new course of action for the mass of people heading for the same goal of peace and prosperity.

[62] When they had made some progress Moses said to his company, let us refresh ourselves about the program so that our journey for reconciliation turns this program into a reality.

63] One of the party said, you see, since we have based ourselves upon solid foundation, I have noticed that our life has improved, I should never forget this unless the harmful and destructive leadership prevents me from striving according to His program. This program has made possible reconciliation of the masses in a surprising way.

[64] Moses said, that is the state of affairs we were looking for and that is how the divided groups retraced their footsteps back to unity. Thus reversal of process of disunity leads back to unity.

[65] All because they found one of Our subjects whom We blessed with blissful information from Us and whom We gave intelligence from Us for handling various affairs.

[66] Moses requested him, will you let me accompany you for a time so that you let me see how you have been given the wisdom to deal with things properly?

[67] He said, surely but you do not look to me a keen observer

[68] and how can you be a keen observer when you do not yet have the full information about the subject matter under your observation before you respond to the situation?

[69] Moses said, you will surely find me keen observer and I will not interfere in anything you do so long as you do things according to the rule of Allah.

[70] He said, if you insist on accompanying me for mere observation as to how I do things then you are not to interfere with anything I do unless I ask for your help about it myself.

[71] So they set off on a venture till they met a party of people in similar situation broken into factions quarrelling among themselves. Moses said to the leaderships of the factions, you are going to ruin the people of this nation of yours. You have done a very wrong thing.

[72] The wise man said, did I not say that you do not look to me a keen observer?

[73] Moses said, pardon my forgetfulness and please do not hold it against me.

[74] So they carry on their journey till they come across a very energetic man so he gave him a good verbal thrashing or a very critical lecture, Moses said, you have thumped a person with a very critical lecture who has done nothing wrong to anyone. Surely you have done an undesirable thing!

[75] Wise man said, did I not say that you do not look to me a keen observer?

[76] Moses replied, if I interfere in your business again after this then you are under no obligation to keep me in your company and I will have no complain against you.

[77] So they carry on their journey until they reach a people of a township who became divided into two factions and were about to fall into civil war. They asked them for participation in their program to unite them but they tried to refuse them the role of mediators but they did not that is how when they found in that township unity among people falling apart they repaired it by removing the reasons from among them for rifts. The response of Moses to their refusal of their role for mediation was, let them suffer the consequences of their actions if they do not wish to unite.

[78] The wise man replied, this is the parting of company between you and me but first I should explain to you those acts of mine which you could not bear to watch patiently.

[79] As for party of the people quarrelling with each other, it belonged to the very same peaceful community that worked as one mass of people so I decided to remove the rift between them that was caused between them by a king who was keen on taking over every good community through causing rifts and dissentions among them.

[80] As for the energetic man, he was leader of a community who ought to take care of his young and old because they were true followers of divine guidance and we feared lest he harms them due to his harmful and destructive mind set and attitude so we put him in the right frame of mind and attitude.

[81] It was our wish that their Lord should change him for the better for them, a son of community who keeps community free of rifts and keeps them on road to prosperity.

[82] As for the community that was about to fall victim to civil war, it belonged to two individuals contesting for leadership of the community in the township after the death of their community leader because under the umbrella of united community laid great benefit for both the factions. Since their community father was a good leader who kept community free of rifts and dissensions, your Lord desired that these successors of his should raise their thinking level through my help so that they could rediscover their treasure that lies in community life. All this was done by me according to blissful program of your Lord and not as per my own personal desire. That is the explanation of my those actions about which you did not stay out of my business just as an observer with patience.

[83] They will inquire of you about a man who could bring two warring factions of people together (zu al qarnain). Say, let me tell you some things about him.

[84] Indeed We let him establish himself in the land that is how We gave him all things essential for this purpose.

[85] That is why he set himself on a fact finding path

[86] till he arrived in the west whereat he was stopped by the marshes whereby he found a community of people. We said, O Zulqarnain, you have the option either to let these people suffer the consequences of their own actions (leave them to themselves) or to show them kindness by doing something that benefits them.

[87] He said, anyone who commits any crime against others we will put him through due process of a set law for punishment that is how we will refer regarding him to law of his Lord to be punished according to set out law by Him.

[88] As for such who commits to working for peace and acts to remove problems from the community, he will have a reward that brings improvement in the community and that will make it easy for him to accomplish Our mission.

[89] In time after that he set out on another exploration trip

[90] till he arrived in the east whereat he became aware of a community for whom We had not provided any security other than its reliance upon itself.

[91] That is how things should be so he left them as they were, We had full knowledge whatever the task lay before him.

[92] That is why he set out on a yet another expedition

[93] till he arrived among two multitudes of people whereat he found no other people than these two multitudes of people, one of which could hardly be made to understand what was said.

[94] The other people said, O Zulqarnain, people given to loot and warfare have ravaged this land so should we pay you tribute in order for you to build a strong barrier between us and them?

[95] Zul-Qarnain said, the program which my Lord has granted me is more than enough just help me with worker-force to spread it and I will build a strong bridge between you and them.

[96] Bring me pages of the criterion for building a relationship between you. Finally when he had bridged the gap between the two multitudes, he said, keep fanning this relationship to keep it alive. They did so until the standard became well entrenched in their minds then he said, bring me some top people among you so that I could set them on this job of monitoring it as an extra security measure

[97] so that either of the people do not transgress against it or destroy the constitution agreed between them bit by bit.

[98] He said, this is the blissful program from my Lord. That is how when the program of my Lord becomes established throughout the world He will level out all crookedness from the human community. The program of my Lord always proves true.

[99] On that day We will let the people free to surge like waves to merge with one another. That is how we will put a new life into mankind when We will assemble the mankind all together under Our constitution

[100] because We will lay the life of hell bare before the opposers of Our program

[101] who had turned a blind eye to My mission and a deaf ear to My warning.

[102] Do the opposers of My rule think that they can take My subjects as their rulers instead of Me? Certainly We let such opposers of Our guidance prepare for themselves hell for their own entertainment.

[103] O Muhammad say to them, should We tell you the worst kind of losers regarding their deeds?

[104] Those whose all efforts in the life of this world have strayed from the right goal but all along they were under their self created delusion that they were doing good for themselves the while they were inflicting harm on others.

[105] They are the ones who oppose the goal and guidelines of their Lord instead of meeting His requirements therefore their deeds become void of any benefit for mankind so they carry no weight to avert the day of uprising.

[106] Therefore the result of actions of such people is life of pain and suffering because they oppose My rule and because they take My guidelines and My messengers for a laugh.

[107] However those who commit to working for peace and work hard to remove rifts and dissensions from among people they are sure to be entertained in the highly blissful kingdoms

[108] to live therein for as long as they live that way and they will not desire any change in that environment.

[109] Say, program of my Lord will become a reality even if the opposing masses helped each other to eliminate the words of my Lord, the masses will become obsolete long before the words of my Lord even if We helped them with more of the same.

[110] Say, I am a human being just like you but the message is sent to me by Allah to proclaim it to you the mankind that your ruler is only one therefore, whoever wants to meet the guidelines of his Lord, let him take action to remove causes for rifts from among people to unite them and not to take any of the subjects of Allah as sovereigns in his kingdom.
