Undoubtedly we especially Sub-continent Muslim and Other muslims in Generals have excelled in Taqleed. Because we have inherited this from our "Ulemas" & Four Suni school of thought Immams. Being a "Ghair Muqalad" espacially in Pakistan is a Curse according to Pakistani Suni ullemas.

A worth reading... the writer is addressing the REAL issue we are facing now a days in Pakistan. The problem with the confused minds is that they cant differentiate the 'good aspects' and 'bad aspects' of a person as well as a nation. We try to understand Deen from the people who have expertise in science and vice visa. We need to carefully differentiate the expertise of a person (as well as a nation) and try to learn those values from him only.

Firstly, Islam is not a religion at all. Secondly, what is purpose of Islam and the orders of Allah :subhanahu: in Qura'an? The research which Allah :subhanahu: wants us to is for what? What are the achievements of the researchers of religion if the didn't find the truth?

What does the word "Taqleed" mean? Can anybody survive without taqleed? Which of the schools of thought in sunnnis which is not "muqalad" in its true sense including Ahle Hadees/Salfi?

Brother you didn't get the point of this thread. Please read it twice with open & cool mind.
All four school of thoughts as well as salfi or ghair muqalad are doing taqleed of our Beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad pbuh. It's like solving a mathematical problem with different ways but getting same answer.

"Maroobiyyat" ki definition main intellectuals/seculars/scholars waghera nahi aate... ye log "mar'oob" nahi hote kissi se ... na he kissi fashion ko apnate hain ... Ye siraf solid baaton ko accept kerte hain aur bongi baaton ko reject kerte hain.

Why bother taking different routes if reaching at the same destination.And each "route discoverer" have an agenda for innocent people to follow their only safe and salvation route otherwise.When for anyone "destination" or "route" become absolute then tolerance & patience will be a rare emotions to find.May be you are sure about the destination & route but there are many other who will beg to differ.

Al-Razi was more critical of absoluteness he was a big advocate of skepticism his famous work is an evidence of this "Mahariq al anbiya مخارق الانبياء (The Prophets' Fraudulent Tricks)"

First Pakistan was founded in the name of Islam,now the way Hazara community is being targeted there will be voices of Shia territory soon. If you don't give you roam, even to think, for any other destination or route then probably then how it enlightens society is evident from day to day miseries we are suffering. Quote any single country where 100 ppl die every second day just because they have different route or destination conviction.

The problem which you mentioned here is due to following:
1- Cursory knowledge of deen سرسری معلومات
Simple question: How many of us on this forum knows about Faraiz of wudu & namaaz - وضو اور نماز کے فرائض. We are bachelors, masters, PHDs in worldy education but doesn't know about their own deen. We dont read Quran with understanding.

2- Extremism in deen دین میں غلو. This is also related to first point.
نبی کریمﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’ اے لوگو! دین میں غلو نہ کرو کیونکہ تم سے پہلے لوگ یقیناً دین میں غلو کی وجہ سے ہلاک ہوئے تھے۔‘‘

3- Not respecting difference of opinion.

Taking different routes: we do this in day to day life. Example: Going for umrah from karachi, some may take PIA, some may take GULF, some may take Saudi Airline. point of origin & point destination remain the same while airlines are different.
